Humorless scolds.

Feminism is the assertion that men are evil and naturally want to harm women, followed by pleas to men to solve all of women’s problems.

— Dalrock’s Law of Feminism

This summer Melinda Gates launched a campaign called Equality Can’t Wait.  The goal was to use humor to solve the problem of inequality in STEM.  Quartz at Work explains in Melinda Gates wants comedians to make fun of gender inequality:

…Gates’ campaign has a chance of helping to speed up change, not least because it puts another nail in the coffin of a worn-out stereotype: That women aren’t funny, and that bringing up inequality somehow shows them up as humorless. Female comedians have stormed the US market in the past few years, including Amy Poehler, Sarah Silverman, Julia-Louis Dreyfus, Nicole Byer, Tina Fey, and Maya Rudolph (some of whom appear in the video.)

The series is even more dismal than I would have imagined.  Here is but one example of the campaign, five minutes of male and female feminist scolding dressed up as a comedy routine:

Here is a shorter piece, the ad that seems to always come up when I click on a youtube video regarding Linux or the latest gen CPUs from AMD and Intel:

Before you laugh at how pathetic this attempt is (and it is truly pathetic), remember that feminists like Gates don’t need to be clever.  Feminists are in such a strong position that no matter how bad their campaign, only the radical fringe will dare to criticize it.  Moreover, nagging doesn’t have to be funny, or inspiring, it just has to be persistent.

    Yep.

because it puts another nail in the coffin of a worn-out stereotype: That women aren’t funny,

Ms. Gates’ effort here convinced me ever *more* that women are incapable of comedy. So she achieved the exact reverse of her goal.

I noticed that the rare few women who have SOME talent for improve comedy (like Kristin Wiig) did not appear in this roster.

  3. Anon says:

    Once again :

‘Feminism’, far from helping women, has instead exposed the full extent of female inferiority in all worthwhile areas of talent, productivity, and character far more visibly than was ever possible before ‘feminism’.

Traditional customs benefited women more than men since the talent gap inherent to women was not readily visible under that system.

  4. Bart says:

No clicks for YouTube, but I notice QZ has no room to mention that Melinda Gates gained her power and prominence through her husband’s innovation and tech success. She could have tried starting her own company from scratch out of a garage, by that would be hard.

Also of note: No matter how much the world yields to feminist demands — more paid leave, universal, free child care, women who somehow manage to work and earn the way men do — we will ever hear the constant refrain: “We still have a long way to go.”

  5. Frank K says:

Moreover, nagging doesn’t have to be funny, or inspiring, it just has to be persistent.

They can nag all they want, but the STEM fields have never been more competitive. When you apply for a job it feels like you are auditioning for a role in a TV series or a movie, as the competition is fierce. It used to be that the interviewers would lob softballs at you to see if you actually understood coding or circuit design. Maybe you’d be asked to write a piece of pseudocode to calculate a factorial or a Fibonacci number. Now you are asked to write an entire program that will compile and run correctly in a very short amount of time.

Anyway, either you can do this or you can’t. If you are a female and can, you will be in high demand by Corporate America, and will be paid top dollar and promotions and raises will be frequent. Smaller employers still worry that you will take a lengthy maternal leave and leave them in a lurch. And most women still opt for soft majors, then wonder why the guys who busted their humps studying engineering make a lot more money.

  6. Anon says:

Another outright lie from Melinda Gates in the second video (above and beyond her feminist lies).

She says the only women earning CompSci degrees are white.

False. They are mostly Asian. Even whites are underrepresented in tech. She is also trying to conceal Asian success, which is another element of the leftist propaganda machine.

Melinda Gates probably does not know that the current CEO of Microsoft is not white. He is a brown Indian (i.e. Asian).

Plus, why hasn’t she made Microsoft 50% female yet? She has had 25 years to do so.

  7. TheWanderer says:

It’s no secret: Bill Gates Sr. was the head of Planned Parenthood. It’s a family of Eugenicist thinkers, so this is no surprise at all. Bill Jr. is very open about his pro-abortion/population control/eugenic/dysgenic position and his funding efforts to cull the herd. Funny to listen to Melinda mention “white people” in a condescending way, since her and Bill have murdered so many black babies. The arrogance is off the chart!

  8. Caligula says:

To feminists, Equality is a tool, not a destination. When equality serves feminists advocacy then it is employed; when it does not it is suppressed. Equality is like a train: when it’s going where you want to go then you get on board; when it’s not, you get off.

Considering all the advantages women have in getting preferentially hired and promoted in tech, Melinda Gates should be nagging all the women who have chosen not to take advantage of these. Perhaps because they’ve chosen to do something else with their lives.

Then again, perhaps all those nerdy tech guys just somehow intimidate the snot out of these strong, independent women, and prevents them from even trying.

  9. Bart says:

    @Anon

    Yes, this cartoon 100%.

Asians, East and South, represent an enjoyable conundrum for leftists, in that they confound claims of racism superseding performance. So they are usually either grouped with whites or ignored entirely.

  10. Anon says:

    Bart,

Yes. But while that is possible in broader society (Asians are just 7% of the population), that is very difficult to do in tech (where Asians are 40%+ of the workforce), and increasingly, in Ivy League admissions, where lawsuits are sprouting up by Asian groups who have been passed over for admission despite sufficient application strength.

Plus, the female workforce in tech is even more skewed Asian than the male workforce (I would say 75% of women in engineering jobs in the tech industry are Asian). So for Melinda Gates to add this point in, even in a video that is about ‘feminism’ rather than race is either unusually dishonest even by her standards, or she hasn’t deigned to visit the rank and file at Microsoft that toil to expand her wealth in a quarter century.

  15. The_Peter says:

The only reason anyone knows Melinda is not because of her own success, but that of her husband’s. It also seems that Melinda’s youtube channel doesn’t have any videos lamenting the lack of female representation in blue collar jobs. They’re not complaining about the lack of female plumbers, they’re only complaining about the lack of females in positions of power. Equality is not the issue, it’s not even their goal, power is their goal and the only way they can get it is through manipulation. Of course no one mentions that girls need to work harder which is probably why they didn’t invite this woman to “be funny” about women in tech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzmQVejR6a8

Clearly women aren’t happy, and no matter what, it’s men’s fault.
    https://www.vox.com/the-highlight/2019/11/13/20959863/women-happy-chores-gender-gap

It’s like all these women thought the grass was greener on the “other side” (aka traditionally male spaces) and when they get to the other side, their response isn’t “Well, I guess we were wrong, this grass isn’t greener after all” but rather “it’s men’s fault this grass isn’t as green as we expected” and “in 208 years the grass will be greener, but we can’t wait that long to close the greeness gap so in the meantime we’ll bitterly complain”.

  16. okrahead says:

Is it going to take 208 years before da womynz have to sign up for selective service? Just asking for a friend.

  17. Bart says:

Anon, I agree, I just don’t think it fits the narrative. I’m not in tech, but I do know the Asian cultures, and the prevalence of Asian women in tech is I’d wager a combination of a success-at-all-costs mentality that starts at home for both boys and girls, the superior math/science education they on balance receive and that tech is where money meets opportunity.

Dalrock and others have said so for a long time, so it’s hardly news, but this female empowerment fantasy sooner or later hurts women just as much as men. If women ever were to dominate tech and so claim a huge chunk of household-supporting incomes, men necessarily would be driven out, and women like Melinda Gates would crow about men not stepping up and earning as is their responsibility.

  18. Spike says:

Whenever I see Melinda Gates, and Warren Buffet, all I see is the millions of dollars they have put into Planned Parenthood. Sarah “Shout Your Abortion” Silverman is in there too.

That’s right Melinda: The reason Gender equality is going to take 208 years is because your money is going toward getting the nation’s best and brightest girls aborted instead of born, nurtured, raised educated and becoming contributing members of the great civilization we live in.

Yes, Melinda. It’s YOUR sacrifices to satan that’s holding the country back.

One thing you can rely on Satan to do is lie to you. And his scumbag followers, no matter how rich, sophisticated and persuasive, always have holes in their arguments, because truth is consistency.

In the previous Melinda Gates thread a few months ago, there was a pathetic whiteknight who vigorously defended Melinda Gates from assessments that she is unattractive. That whiteknight got ganged up on and crushed.

The funny part was, he defended her by saying “she is good-looking for 62”, when she was in fact 54 at the time. I can think of few things that could offend a 54 year old woman more than telling her that she is “good-looking for 62”. Heh.

This time, take the second video, mute the sound, and just watch. She is UGLY. Her exaggerated facial expressions, and innate phoniness are evident on a level beyond just looks, but it is unpleasant to even look at her in a muted video. There is something just sinister on a visceral level (similar to Elizabeth Holmes’ eyes).

The facts do not matter in these vids,,..not at all… they are intended to create an emotional response. Responding to an emotional argument with factual statements will generally fail. To fully understand, read the book Propaganda by Edward Bernays. One example of his genius is how he greatly increased cigarette consumption in the US in the 1920’s with a very simple Easter Sunday PR stunt in New York. His biography is very interesting.

PS: Bill Gates is clearly a very whipped Betabux boy. I wonder if Melinda ever made him have a vasectomy?

    From Info Galactic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melinda_Gates#Early_life

French [Melinda Gates’ maiden name], a Roman Catholic, attended St. Monica Catholic School, where she was the top student in her class year.

She graduated as valedictorian from Ursuline Academy of Dallas in 1982. She earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and economics from Duke University in 1986 and an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in 1987.

Obviously, Melinda Gates had no trouble earning a STEM degree, yet she achieved unimaginable wealth the old fashioned way. She found a young man whose career had a Saturn V strapped to it, and she clung to him for dear life.

It’s almost as though there’s a lesson there.

Rather I am pointing the finger at the real problem: weak men screwing feminism up. Specifically: all of you here! How many of you actually fixed feminism? By yourself? None of you, that’s what I thought. So you better not complain! I am a Boomer (born 1957). My wife obeys me. Really. My daughters’ husbands asked me for permission before dating them. Then they asked my daughters for permission to date them. Then they asked their pastors for permission to date them. Then they spent half their fortune on the proposal alone, and half their fathers’ fortunes on the eventual wedding. See how manly I am?

I fight back feminism by serving in John Piper and Beth Moore’s ministries. What have you done?

How many of you crawled in the hot Afghan desert for 18 days on nothing but cacti for food and camels for water? No? Then don’t you dare point out how wrong the feminists are!

Most of my in-laws are hardcore feminists. The younger generation of cousins and daughters has largely failed to reproduce (and probably won’t, thanks to the steady diet of “well Aunt So and So has her first kid at 42 so you’ve got plenty of time” stories). They all have advanced degrees though.

There was one in particular, almost 45 now, whom I heard a lot about before meeting her. She never had kids despite getting married at 23. But she had a very important job. Worked in IT. Very important work. The family is very proud they have a woman in IT. I’m also told constantly that she is living proof that girls do like to code and do engineering and all that. Her favorite toys were LEGO’s!

She builds videos and powerpoints for a small company none of you have ever heard of. But she gets to say she works in IT.

I worked in IT when I was in the military. Real IT; software development and hardware maintenance etc. I loved the people but didn’t care much for the technical aspects of it. We also ran at one of the most severe male:female ratios outside the combat fields. Most women can’t or won’t do that job. There’s just not that much there to hold your average female’s interest, and that’s fine. I don’t know why feminists keep insisting that we be in IT. Like honey, it’s just going to make you miserable.

  41. Opus says:

I remind myself: when I was falling out with my G.P. and far from caving in and apologising but going on the attack, one of my observations in my letter of response to the (male) Doctor went as follows: ” I observe that you have now achieved 100% equality in your workforce in that amongst your employees there is not so much as one man”. Now that, I preen myself, is funny – and true.

Here and even though he will not be the most popular person on this blog is a video of the late Christopher Hitchens basking in self approval in his dismissal of female comediennes and as he says women are not funny because they do not need to be funny. That is the point. The same of course goes for just about everything else (i.e. why there is no female Beethoven).

  42. Warthog says:

Because, as a white man, I should feel guilty that women choosing their own major choose not to be engineers…

  43. Scott says:

    Bear with me one moment.

Doesn’t it kind of seem like they aren’t really selling it?

Forget Sarah Silverman. She’s a true believer.

But look at the rest of them. I detect zero passion and belief in the delivery. I don’t get the feeling Maya Rudolph gives a rip about “women’s equality” (whatever that is). You can almost see the roll in her eyes every time she says the phrase.

It’s like the way my dad used to describe communism in the 50’s When some leader or rally would come to their factory, they would be required to stand there and show their enthusiasm, and there were others around the outside of the crowd looking for people who failed to be convincing. They would disappear the next day.

These people were approached about this and they were like “Yeah, lets totally do this!” but inside they are dreading the entire project, thinking “not t his again.”

That’s what they all look like to me. That’s the depth of why its not funny. Jokes about social issues are only funny if there is a grain of truth to it, and they all know its BS.

  44. Scott says:

…if this video was being made in a former eastern bloc country, the handlers would be whispering to each other “we need new comedic comrades. These need to go to the reeducation camp.”

The only source they cite to support their claim is a World Economic Forum report that measures women’s success in education, career, politics, and health. However, the report found that in the US, women have improved in all categories except health. In other words, as women’s equality scores “improved” in education, career, and politics, their health went down. Funny how they don’t seem to compute what that implies.

I made a video response to their video where they try and defend their claims for all those interested.

  46. The down votes on all over these Youtube videos offers some surprising encouragement perhaps. Not sure.

Also, I could be wrong but the argument about “females in STEM” seems to already be lost.
There’s a lot of fatigue in the world of work around these ideals and messaging. Sure it’s well ingraned in corporate speak already, but my sense is that diversity at work is being revealed as just another example of annoying corporate “sacred cow dung”, following the other colossally stupid jargon like “Buy-In”, “Bleeding edge” and “Scalability”.

This is because no thinking person believes anymore that there is a conspiracy to prevent girls and adult women from participating in STEM education and STEM careers. And no one believes there is a lack of opportunity for women in these sectors either.

  47. Frank K says:

Another outright lie from Melinda Gates in the second video (above and beyond her feminist lies).

  48. Frank K says:

There’s a lot of fatigue in the world of work around these ideals and messaging. Sure it’s well ingraned in corporate speak already

Every large company has a special built in organization/club for the advancement of women in STEM. This includes company paid banquets and award ceremonies, travel to conferences, college recruitment efforts, etc.

One year at a former employer (a once prominent tech firm that is a shadow of itself now) we were striking out big time when recruiting protected class engineers, so we extended an offer to an utterly incompetent woman who couldn’t code her way out of a paper bag. After just a few years she got a better offer somewhere else (I hesitate to say job because she did no work) and moved on. Last time I checked on LinkedIn she was still employed, at another large company. Her work history showed only larger tech employers.

We (the interview team) protested the decision to hire her, as there was work to do, and she wouldn’t be doing any of it. Our director assembled our team and told us that was the way it was going to be, end of story.

  49. @Frank K
This kind of stuff is commonplace.
I have worked in an industry that is male dominated. We’re talking 95% to 98% male. Last 10 years a lot more women entered the space, but primarily in marketing, finance and sales roles. For hardware, software engineering and development, or software coding or installation and tech support, you can forget it. It’s too freakiing hot, humid, cold, wet, dry, sunny, dark and uncomfortable. There are more female “product marketing managers” now however, but few female “product managers”. There is a difference. The invented titles these days come straight out of a Hollywood movie script. “Customer Experience Manager” and ” Customer Success Manager”. I don’t know man.

Contrary to what one might expect, there are ridiculous levels of white knighting and pandering to female job seekers, employees and management in this industry. But a good contingent shakes their heads and keeps nose to the grindstone.

There is of course the customary “Women in ABC Industry Award” ceremonies at trade shows, company events, and even in company media press releases. Just absurd. It must seem embarrassing and infantilizing to those women who did bust their ass in school and in the workplace, who had to prove their mettle to naysayers, and are actually competent. I’ve worked with a number of such women, and it was a pleasure and refreshing.
To be sure, there’s no shortage of men who have advanced the corporate ladder but are utterly incompetent idiots and seem impervious to decision-making errors. But this seems rare, probably because there are bullshit meters throughout “preventing the career success of village idiots”.

Also, try to imagine a “Men in Nursing Award” or “Men in Teaching Award” ceremony.
    Dumb.

  50. Frank K says:

    “Customer Success Manager”

I’m still trying to figure out what they do. I found this gobbledygook definition online:

A customer success manager guides customers through the sales process into the support phase. Rather than functioning as a customer support agent, CSMs form a direct relationship with customers and provide them with timely value propositions.

Guide them into the support phase? Shouldn’t that be tech support’s job? Provide them with timely value propositions????

I suspect that maybe their real role is to provide sales leads. One thing I do know is that a whole bunch of them got the ax in a recent reorg at my current employer.

As someone employed at one of the largest defense contractors in an engineering role, my experience has been the complete opposite of what Frank K is describing. Meritocracy has been replaced by Diversity and Inclusion. If women or minorities have a degree, they will be hired without question. I have even seen cases where women were already employed in a non-engineering role and were enrolled in a STEM program having not yet graduated, and were promoted to a level 1 engineering role.

Article makes no mention of how she came to be a Single Mom. No mention of a former husband(s) or boyfriend(s), or whether she’s collecting alimony or child support.

Article does mention that she’s a “fitness blogger” and “personal trainer” by profession, implying that she’s a Strong, Independent Single Mom.

Kevin: Is Mrs. Gates, the gates that used her good looks to marry an Alpha male –

Bill Gates is no Alpha. He’s an Apex Beta, but still, a Beta.

Were Bill Gates an Alpha, he’d have his pick of beautiful women even if he were poor. But I don’t think that’s the case. He is “economically attractive” — very much so — but I doubt he gives many women the tingles.

Which is why Melinda is so surly, discontent, and unhappy.

  58. Otto says:

OT, but a great example of men toeing the feminist line.

Peloton created an ad for its exercise bike. A man gives his wife the bike for Christmas. She’s excited, and makes a video to show her husband how much she appreciates the bike.

I’ve yet to find an article about this ad that doesn’t condemn the husband for giving his wife an exercise bike. This article (from a “conservative” site; written by Stephan Kruiser) is titled: “Cops Should Do a Wellness Check on Woman in Peloton Christmas Ad”.

    https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/the-morning-briefing-cops-should-do-a-wellness-check-on-woman-in-peloton-christmas-ad/

Like most articles, it’s attitude boils down to: how dare a husband expect his wife exercise and keep herself in shape!

A typical comment from the article (again, by a man, of course):

DavidD • 6 hours ago Who the hell has the gall to buy his wife an expensive exercise bike as a gift, anyway? Might as well say “Honey, you’re not quite thin enough for me.” And to top it all off, this is an exercise bike that comes with a personal trainer on video, reminding you every time you use it that you’re not quite good enough.

  60. Rpro says:

208 years is all it takes for women to grow balls and gain testosterone? That’s the fastest fake evolution I’ve ever heard of! Let me guess, giving rich people money will do it faster.. stupid people don’t know theu’re stupid. If your philosophy doesn’t grow naturally and has to be forced, you might be a redneck. Memorize all those faces, know their names. THESE are the ones dividing the country. Dividing the races, the sexes, the abled from the disabled (Incel!).. These are the ones on the wrong side of all history.

“[Melinda Gates] could have tried starting her own company from scratch out of a garage, by that would be hard.”

To women, marrying up and riding a man’s coattails is an accomplishment.

Just after Amal Alamuddin married George Clooney, she did an interview with Barbara Walters, and was congratulated on her “GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT” in marrying George Clooney. That was the phrase she used: great accomplishment.

Warren Farrell in his book Why Men Are The Way They Are spends an entire chapter on what he calls “The Flashdance Phenomenon.” The analogy is based on the movie Flashdance. A woman is swept to the head of the line in life, not due to any hard work on her part, but simply by associating with a successful man. Any accomplishments are credited to her, even though she only “accomplished” them due to riding a man’s coattails.

Hillary Clinton is a perfect example of this. Prior to Bill, her greatest accomplishment was getting booted off the Democrat’s Watergate investigative team for unethical behavior. Without Bill, she would have ended up as just another Washington political lawyer. After riding Bill’s coattails to the Whitehouse, she was described as “the most accomplished woman in politics” even before her senate run.

s someone employed at one of the largest defense contractors

I was speaking more in the context of smaller firms. With Corporate America, especially with .gov contractors, it’s a different game. They have quotas and will hire anyone who helps them meet them. In the case of defense contractors you will have to get a security clearance, which doesn’t require any real competence, but can be torpedoed by something as simple as dual citizenship,

Smaller firms, where the bulk of the jobs are, don’t have “Women in STEM” clubs, etc.

They have a classic self-serving, boil-in-the-(old)-bag excuse for this, as per.

    >>> “Because The Patriarchy is so dense, so suppressive and immanent, the only possible way for even the most brilliant, bu-hrave and (perm any word for irritating&noisy, e.g. sassy, feisty etc.) of women to bust through the Glass Ceiling is to use a hapless nearby man’s Privilege as some sort of anti-tank round against it, and climb through the resulting hole.”
“Ergo, I (Me, The Writer, Comedienne etc., but most of all Me. Me Me Me! Go Me!), am the most talented, deserving and spectacular person in all human history. Give me things. Now!”

This is an example of what Rollo means by the phrase “Men become, women are” as well as the great reality check about waiting at the finish line to bed the winner.

It’s evolutionary psychology. For those who reject evolution, then this is “the way they are, God made them that way”. Once one accepts that women are physically and mentally different from men , that the primary directive for women is carrying children to term and raising them — I mean, really, emotionally, accept this fact – many aspects of women’s behavior falls into place.

No band of women every fitted out a sailing ship and went off in search of distant lands, adventure, gold, treasure, plunder, etc. Sure, there are women who went on such trips following a man. Just never on their own, literally not ever on their own. Because any women who tried that rarely or never reproduced, and therefore did not pass on the Bold Daring Genes…

In the merciless world of nature, eggs are expensive. Sperm is cheap. It makes no sense for a woman to become her own beta, but that’s what we as a society train our girls to do, and it is not just foolish, it’s dysgenic.

PS: I have a comment forming up on the Pity article, & as I’m writing this I’m listening to Tai Bachmann’s “High above me”. I’ll post the vid with lyrics in the next thread, because it’s relevant.

  67. Moses says:

It’s funny and a bit sad how the supermajority of women like Melinda Gates pushing for “equality in STEM” stayed far away from STEM in their own and careers. Although Melinda studied computer science in undergrad, she joined MSFT (where she met Bill) in marketing. Now she’s spending her husband’s money to tell girls to do what she herself didn’t do.

Wait — by Current Year standards isn’t it a kinda creepy and perhaps illegal power imbalance for Bill to date and marry an underling?

  68. Moses says:

    ^Money quote right here.

You don’t see Melania or other wives of wealthy alphas doing this nonsense and badmouthing their husbands, ever.

I once read an interview with Melinda where she bitched that she had to pick up and drop off the kids every day, and Bill didn’t help enough.

What a shrew. Bill obviously tolerates that behavior, so he gets what he deserves. Uber beta, like Bezos (btw one look at Bezos’ girlfriend and you can tell she is a maneater. Bezos can’t do better?)

The odds are high Melinda is getting some bad boy action on the side.

Unless she is paying Gigolos, no.

Look at her. She is fugly. Watch the second video with the sound muted, and just look at her.

Even a working class non-cuckservative man would rather not be married to someone like that. Bill Gates is an Apex beta. Note that he married her when he was already a billionaire. It is not like she was with him from the start.

    No, Dalrock.

    Melinda Gates is a genius.

She is a living, breathing comedic philosopher’s stone.

Should Melinda ever encounter Thalia herself, the muses’ envious rage would be so acute, it’d be like the time Laquisha and her squad ran into Raerae’s sidepiece down at the Popeyes. Phones horizontal; somebody’n’a lose they weave.

I know you’re trying to be nice and everything, downplaying. I really appreciate that, I do. But everybody here knows that Melinda Gates was responsible for Microsoft Bob.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Bob

Do you know what it’s like?

Do you know what it’s like to realize that you could leave a delighted Terpsichore flat on her lovely posterior, shy, lip-biting Calliope, self-steamcleaning, composing really, really bad billionaire werewolf vampire fan-fiction to you behind her fogged-up hornrims, the rest swooning at your metrical prowess, chasing you around like Justin Bieber at an early-aughts shopping mall opening; it doesn’t matter– nothing you write, nothing you will create, nothing you will even think, will, ever, be as funny as that.

    Ever.

  78. Reluctant Redpill Jedi says:

Equality has already been achieved. We now live with institutionalized misandry on an industrial scale.

Feminists achieved legal equality for women decades ago.

But, because “the feminist project is to increase female power with no stated limit,” feminism now hopes to enact and enforce social equality, and to eliminate men’s unconscious prejudices. Those are goals both impossible to measure and dangerous to attempt.

STEM work is object-centric, not people-centric. It is a rare woman who wants to spend her productive hours this way; rarer still is the woman who thrives at it.

But there is no limit to the just causes one can find worth fighting for, if one will but presuppose that phenomena they don’t understand are the result of imaginary malign intent, unconscious bias, and that these two cause systemic discriminatory practices.

    Such funny stuff. Hah.
