The Daily Mail ran an article this past summer titled: Talented ten-year-old boy takes the beauty industry by storm with his flawless make-up looks
In our current culture it seems strange to see a young boy (or a man) made up the way young Jack is made up. But the Social Justice Warriors have a plan to make what looks freakish to us today feel entirely normal. The Daily Mail quotes Jake-Jamie Ward:
‘Seeing Jack’s Instagram photo’s have absolutely melted my heart, it so lovely to see a young boy so confident within his own skin.
‘I think it’s an excellent idea to embrace makeup at a young age – it’s creative, it’s fun, it’s art!
‘The #MakeUpIsGenderless campaign was geared towards making these changes – to help create a world whereby future generations can freely grow up being who they personally want to be, therefore seeing movements like these leave me bursting with pride and with a huge sense of hope for the future.’
The conservative impulse is to dismiss this kind of “progressive” gender bending plan as something that doesn’t stand a chance. They will never make it seem normal for a boy to look like that, we tell ourselves. Yet this is surely what conservatives back in the 40s and 50s said to themselves when feminists set out to remove “confining” “gender conforming” limitations for women. What strikes us as freaky today will very likely seem as normal to our children and grandchildren as these women seem to us today. Yet if you could somehow travel back in time to the 40s and 50s and show them what feels perfectly normal to us today, they would be incredulous.
Half of all crossdressing feels perfectly normal to us. It is in fact now a tradition we are quite proud of. Why should we expect the other half to feel any different in a few more decades?

This ties in with what Roosh was discussing on his recent podcast about the black pill. At some point, you just stop getting outraged and shrug. Or, if you’re in a darker place, you find amusement in society’s decline and mock it.
I doubt this society will last beyond the next decade. Each year exponentially increases the acceleration of decline. Just make sure you have the right precious metals when that time comes.
Jail-bait

He paints his skin to look like someone else. Therefore he’s obviously “confident within his own skin.” Logic.
Walked into a Sephora store just last week and the guy who walked up to help us was in full makeup, complete with glittery lip gloss.
It was somethin’.
Half of all cross dressing feels perfectly normal to us.
This can’t be stressed enough. Thank you again Dalrock for using your gift of verbal formulation to address this long neglected subject. Convincing fellow Christians of this fact has been one of the toughest nuts for me to crack, and I’ve cracked a few nuts.
That was your first mistake 😉
And have an exit plan in place. Procure a foreign passport if you can, as I suspect that after we fall that a US Passport will be next to worthless, plus with a foreign passport you migrate to said country as you are a citizen. It your parents or grandparents came from somewhere else it might not be too hard to get one, though I suspect that any EU passport will also be worthless as they are and will be further down the rabbit hole than we are.
Agree and amplify. Toxic masculinity up to 11.
Exit plan? What foreign country might be desirable? Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand — full of feminists, gays, and Muslim refugees.
Indeed, what’s a good place to live in the U.S? I’ve long considered leaving Los Angeles, but to where? I like the weather in Seattle and Portland, but they’re liberal and awaiting an earthquake.
In what U.S. city can a single white male, 50s, conservative Catholic, feel comfortable? Preferably a city not too hot or humid.
When people feel powerless they give up. Some become indifferent and just shrug, others become cynical and talk about eating popcorn while the world burns. But both have a commonality, they both believe that nothing can be done.
And history does show that when societies become degenerate that they have to burn to the ground and start over from the bottom. What is unique about our age is that change now happens so quickly that a single generation can see it burn to the ground twice in it’s lifetime. Children in the 1940’s got to see Germany reduced to rubble and are seeing it readying itself again to self destruct, Except this time there won’t be Marshall Plan to help start over.
I saw a youtube video (don’t have the link anymore) that dramatizes what many think will be happening soon in Europe: outright civil war, In the video are shown quick images of a family, starting with a child’s birthday party in a peaceful setting (while the TV in the background has footage from the for now “distant” civil war that is starting). Things escalate and soon they have to pack and abandon their home. As time elapses the situation becomes more dire, they abandon the car (no fuel, breakdown?) and they eventually reach a check point where dad is not allowed to pass and the family is separated. At the end the child is alone, separated from her family, who are probably all dead by that point, and she is in a refugee camp, one year later, on her birthday,
Dramatic? Yes. Possible? Yes, Probable? A very good chance.
Those are all pointless. Eastern Europe will probably be the last bastion of Christendom, but as a westerner it will be hard to learn the language and fit in. It could be a third world country in South America, though they have their own problems. As bad as Mexico is now, it could be better than staying in the US when the SHTF. I didn’t say it would be easy.
@ Red Pill Latecomer, the WA state small towns felt good to me, on a recent trip. Idaho, WY (need to figure out your job situation beforehand).
Perhaps some small town in flyover. It won’t be utopia, just less infected, thus buying you time.
paddy, at this point, I can live off my investments. In my mid 50s, I no longer need to work.
As an unmarried Beta, I’ve lived a frugal life. Never had a wife or kids to spend money on. Never did much traveling. Bought my current car 11 years ago. My previous car I’d owned for 14 years. Own a one bedroom condo, in a very nice area.
The single life (for me) is lonely, but inexpensive.

“Indeed, what’s a good place to live in the U.S? I’ve long considered leaving Los Angeles, but to where?”
You might consider Paso Robles along the 101. It’s still in Commiefornia but has been growing quickly in recent years. Wine country would be a strong improvement over Los Angeles and it’ll be much cheaper for you to check out than an out-of-state location. Let me know if you want more ideas; I’ve traveled quite a bit around the state.
You gotta leave Los Angeles. The city government has wired L.A. to explode once disaster strikes again. Between that, the aqueducts and the vibrants from every shi#hole on Planet Earth, it’s a worst-case scenario.
“Procure a foreign passport if you can, as I suspect that after we fall that a US Passport will be next to worthless, plus with a foreign passport you migrate to said country as you are a citizen”
Then it’s Mexico for me. So many times I’ve been told to go back to Mexico, and this might be a good motivation.
“Just make sure you have the right precious metals when that time comes.”
And guns, and seeds, and enhanced skills on everything from carpentry to embroidery to mechanics.
rocko, I don’t know much about Mexico, but I have heard that the drug cartels run practically everything now. That it’s very dangerous for anyone with money, as they are always at risk of being kidnapped for ransom.
I don’t know how accurate that is. But it’s what I’ve heard.
Yet another fitness test at the societal level. It’s far beyond the Goth teens and their black nail polish. I can see where this would actually appeal to some boys, especiallly those subjected to single mothers. Another blow against Teh Patriarchy and toxic masculinty!
There were a couple of Roman emperors in the declining period who used makeup, I’ll have to do a search…

Caligula. You seek Caligula.
Red Pill Latecomer, et al, I am, reluctantly, becoming convinced that a sane, separate homeland may be necessary. Not sure about the Northwest front, but at least they have a plan. Even a bad plan is better than no plan. I would appreciate your thoughts, and no I am not a member. But I am considering my options. http://northwestfront.org/ The book The Brigade by Harold C. Covington is an interesting read. I am not convinced, but last year never thought I would even be considering this. Things are moving fast and the hate and rot are growing.
French aristocrats, in the decades before the French Revolution, are often depicted wearing powder and rouge and fake beauty marks. Along with their powdered wigs.
If we don’t get used to it, our kids will unless…
@RPL
That was my first thought, too.
But what I didn’t think about this when I first read this piece, was that “high status” men going back to makeup again was probably doomed from whenever moment we decided it was acceptable and even preferable for all women to wear makeup all the time.
Victorians eschewed makeup, then it came back into fashion for women, and it’s been slinking back into the male world for awhile. David Bowie, KISS, a shedload of 80s musicians, etc. It’s probably a cycle, and it sucks that we have to live through the upswing of the cycle.

Men’s makeup, in certain contexts, can be macho and Alpha.
Richard Brookhiser observed that when he had cancer in the early 1990s, and became bald, strangers were wary of him. He theorized that it was because he was a tall, imposing man — who was bald. He theorized that any unconventional dress or grooming sends a message that the person doesn’t follow social convention, and is therefore potentially dangerous. (This was before baldness became commonplace.)
Men’s makeup can have the same scary, macho effect. As with the KISS rock band.
In some older films (1980s and 1990s), gang members are sometimes portrayed with mascara or black lipstick (along with tattoos, leather collars, etc.). It’s to make them appear dangerous, tough, even a touch psychotic.
For instance, the “Baseball Furies” gang in the 1979 film, The Warriors.
Men’s makeup, used in certain ways, functions like war paint. Like the blue men of England, or the Indians of North America.
Johnny Depp played his pirate character with heavy mascara. I think he claimed that pirates used to wear makeup. I suppose it could be true.
But as with baldness and tattoos, as men’s makeup is normalized, it will become middle class and no longer scary.
What’s noteworthy about that 10-year-old boy is that he’s using makeup to appear effeminate. Whereas the Baseball Furies, KISS, and ancient warriors, used makeup to appear dangerous and scary.
@RPL
Yes, that’s the makeup usage that’s coming back around again.
This is a common practice in Afghanistan, where the boys are called bacha bazi: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacha_bazi.
When that was in the news, the Left criticized our military for allowing the locals to continue that practice.
Now the same Left celebrates a white boy, who is doing the same thing. Is the White Privilege we all keep hearing about?
Grooming little faggot boys to feed to the Muslims. They’ll be grooming more than little girls there in the future..

“In what U.S. city can a single white male, 50s, conservative Catholic, feel comfortable? Preferably a city not too hot or humid.”
New England is good. At 60, I’m all done too, except I keep my hand in the telecom and electrical work a bit. Plenty of girls up here, no need to marry, but I suppose you could always find some to. I’m North of Boston at the end of one of the T lines up toward North Shore. It’s cold for 5 months, but the motorcycling is more temperate for me in the summer, so I gain weeks or a couple of months’ time. I don’t ride in heat. Want the beach? Here. Mountains? Really here. Sports, arts, food, check, check, and again, broads. Liberal though. Really, really. That’s why the women are easy, and forget finding a churchly chick up here. But there is such a lack of diversity, if you can get past the liberal part, the intellects are rather elevated up here because a lot of the brain trust is here, believe it or not. Something I thought I’d have to get used to. Besides, outside Boston, much of life (guns, weed, getting pussy is ok) trends toward red up here in Vt., Maine, NH. I fled Northern Virginia in 2009 and never have looked back, except for weddings and a couple of funerals I hadda go back for. Each time back, the place from Warren County out West to Fairfax and Arlington is worse than the last. It’s an Hispanic/Indian/Chinese Disneyland now (was getting there when I left, the transformation is complete), the Southern town of my upbringing is gone. Throw in the muggy, filthy air that sits over the DC area for 6 months a year and I can understand why Indians love it in Washington so much. They even have 45-dollar, one-way tolls to speed you through the traffic jams THEY engineered. And the entire regions is stinky just like back home in New Delhi, or whatever the fuck they come from. New England seems to be a lack-o’-diversity zone. Maybe the cold and the snow keep them away. Even our Hispanics are White. They’re married, the kids go off to school, they fill the churches. Sorry, I went travel agent, heh..

I honestly don’t even pray for America anymore. I fully expect God to throw the lightswitch in the next few years.
And nice to see a fellow Christian New Englander, Jim. I’ve been a lifelong assxual, so the fact that most of the Shaker sites are in or near New England has been a blessing for me.
