Chick-fil-A and conservative militant cluelessness.

Over at Instapundit the linked headline in Stephen Green’s new post reads:  Chick-fil-A Caved to the Wokescolds…OR DID THEY?

Instapundit commenter William T Quick nailed the conservative impulse involved here:

Interesting that whenever a conservative stalwart wobbles off course, there are always “conservatives” immediately coming forward to explain why it’s not really a wobble.

Quick accurately describes the situation.  The headline is from a Stephen Kruiser piece, where Kruiser opens by suggesting that Chic-fil-a has done the nation a great service by cucking to anti Christian SJWs!

America caught a break on Monday, and was able to take the day off from a singular obsession with Impeachment Kabuki Theater. Not a complete break, but enough of one, thanks to Chick-fil-A making a shift in its corporate charitable donation strategy.

Next comes the bizarre meat of Kruiser’s argument, a vague suggestion anything less than full compliance to anti Christian SJW activists is really a bold act of defiance!

Anyone who has been paying any attention knows that just because the Right is unhappy doesn’t mean that the Left is. That’s primarily because they are incapable of not complaining. In the case of LGBTQ issues, however, unless you’ve given up your children for gender reassignment before they’ve reached the age of six, you aren’t doing enough to make them happy.

Kruiser then lectures his readers not to assume that Chic-fil-a did something as serious as capitulating to the SJW mob, before closing by explaining that whatever Chic-fil-a did, it isn’t a big deal:

There are any number of reasons that Chick-fil-A could have for cutting ties with the Salvation Army. We will only know if this was truly a capitulation to the rabid wokesters when we see who the company gives money to going forward…

…While many see this as an important battle in the culture war, I see it as a chicken place I eat at maybe once a year.

The closest Chick-fil-A to me is next to an In-N-Out anyway, and that wins out over chicken every time.

And they’ve still got Bible verses on their drink cups.

This is a textbook case of what I’ve termed conservative militant cluelessness.  It is a bizarre conservative impulse to not only deny reality, but to actively work in the service of SJWs to ensure that others do as well.  The role of conservatives has become muffling any alarm that would otherwise be raised as SJWs annihilate our culture.  This sickness goes far beyond mere inaction in the face of evil, as the impulse is an active one, to prevent any possible action (reaction) by others.

  1. I just sent this to Chik-Fil-A via their web page — https://www.chick-fil-a.com/Customer-Service/Contact

    Hi,

I’ve enjoyed Chik-Fil-A for so many years, but now you are just another fast food establishment. No, it is worse — you are a fast food establishment that unnecessarily and foolishly caved to the LGBTQ lobby. First, you shouldn’t try to appease people like that. You were doing nothing wrong! Second, you CAN’T appease people like that because they will still hate you. So now you’ve alienated many of your customers forever and the LGBTQ crowd still won’t like you. This is going in the Stupid Corporate Moves Hall of Fame right next to “New Coke.”

You used to be my first choice for fast food. Now my first thought of you will be how you foolishly caved.

It is a sad day for you, your employees and your customers.

    Regards,
    XXXXXXXX

Oh, and of course, it only took 15 minutes for GLAAD to say it wasn’t enough. Surprising, eh?

If the men of Sodom persisted even after being literally blinded by God, then today’s LGBTQX lobby — including the “Christian” Left – will never stop. Do not cater to them under any circumstances. It will never be enough.

  2. It was very disheartening to hear that CFA caved. Even if you just looked at the financials of it, they had no reason to do so! Whether we like it or not, the culture—even businesses!—are divided politically. Chik-Fil-A was a bastion of true conservatism and tradition in a sea of lifestyle Leftist corporations. Now they’ve given in—for what?
Here’s a link to donate to the Salvation Army, because apparently it’s too “backwards” for “conservatives”: https://give.salvationarmyusa.org/give/164006/#!/donation/checkout

Conserving nothing but making sure the inroads the liberals of yesteryear remain intact and then remaining stalwart on those until they too, become non-PC. A road to endless defense of nothing to the point you relinquish all sense of culture, nation, morality, Godliness and purpose. Conservatives are worse than the most leftist person on the planet, at least they are honest, upfront and stick to what they believe, a conservative is nothing but a lefty securing the line in the sand that was crossed by the liberal left a decade ago. Now they can’t even conserve their arguments, capitulating and removing all doubt that money comes before beliefs.

  4. feministhater says:

Got to hand it to the Groypers, showing that Conservative Inc is nothing but a farce. They’re just as likely to censor you, to deflect, not answer straight forward questions and then call you names instead of debate your arguments, even after pretending they are for free speech and an open forum. Liars and defrauders, the lot of them.

  5. Lexet Blog says:

Ok, but Salvation Army is it’s own religious denomination/cult.

It’s sad that a “Christian” company would do business with them anyways (proving Christian companies aren’t sincere about their beliefs).

  6. Lexet Blog says:

Just know that Salvation Army is a religious denomination as well. Just because they are right on one issue doesn’t mean their cause is just.

  7. Lexet Blog says:

I’ve been waiting for YAF to be exposed for years (I used to be heavily involved with them). Conservative inc exists, and it’s corrupt.

  8. jsolbakken says:

“The role of conservatives has become muffling any alarm that would otherwise be raised as SJWs annihilate our culture. ”

Actual conservatives are the ones who need to be dis-alarmed and pacified and made docile and quiescent. It is the role of the “cuckservatives” to do this, if they can.
Who else, pray tell, would otherwise be inclined to be concerned with the annihilation of sanity, besides “conservatives?” The Progressive SJW’s and the Cuckservatives certainly don’t think it’s a bad thing.
Just because Conservatives failed to conserve much if anything over the last century does not mean that “Conservatism” as such should be denigrated. Conservatives were bound to lose for many reasons, among them being stupid and gullible, and for another thing being like Poland facing the Nazi Blitzkrieg. Conservatives and Conservatism just had no idea what was coming at them and even now still has no idea what the hell hit them.

  9. The Question says:

Conservatives are cowards filled with deep shame, which is why they yield on every turn and lash out at anyone who fights back. Those with strength and courage make them acutely aware of their own shame.

  10. jsolbakken says:

“Conservatives are cowards filled with deep shame, which is why they yield on every turn and lash out at anyone who fights back.”

So, who is it that is fighting back? Anti-conservatives? Or, is the truth more something like, most conservatives like most people are cowards who cower in the relative safety of their trenches, whilst a noble few are willing to face the attacks of the enemy and provide active resistance?
Most conservatives ARE like most people, they may have traditional attitudes, but they don’t engage in deep philosophical thinking about their ostensible principles. And even less so do they have an intellectual apprehension of their Enemy.
This is an eternal problem, not something has arisen just recently.
Anyway, I think it’s a huge category error to suppose that the cuckservatives who lash out at the real conservatives represent conservatism at all of any kind. Cuckservatives are like false teachers, heretics, who have crept in unawares and are skilled at taking advantage of the mental and moral and spiritual weaknesses of the masses of well intentioned but ignorant and cowardly sincere conservatives. I say this with direct knowledge and experience in politics since the days of the early 1960’s when the Great Cuckservative William F Buckley did such a great job marginalizing the real conservatives of his day. I also have read of how in the early 1950’s when Eisenhower the Politician smeared Robert Taft and helped cuck out the Republican party at a very crucial moment. You too should read about this history before you jump to ill-advised misapprehensions.

  11. Anon says:

Cuckservatism is about nothing more than making leftist advances seem less rapid than they actually are.

“unless you’ve given up your children for gender reassignment before they’ve reached the age of six”

Though it is perfectly fine if your neighbor has done so. Absolute personal freedom, and all that. ‘Merica!!!

  13. jsolbakken says:

The whole point of being a Cuckservative is that conservatives will be more easily gaslit by you than by a purple haired nose ringed tattooed Progressive freak. But it’s all the same psychological warfare using weaponized insanity. I’m convinced that the insanity itself is the message. By driving us insane we are malleable.

  14. Zach Frey says:

It’s been like this for at least a century:

“The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of Conservatives is to prevent mistakes from being corrected. Even when the revolutionist might himself repent of his revolution, the traditionalist is already defending it as part of his tradition. Thus we have two great types — the advanced person who rushes us into ruin, and the retrospective person who admires the ruins. He admires them especially by moonlight, not to say moonshine. Each new blunder of the progressive or prig becomes instantly a legend of immemorial antiquity for the snob.”

    – G. K. Chesterton

  15. Anonymous Reader says:

Perhaps instead of getting all in an uproar at the company, Agree & Amplify can show them the slippery slope they’ve chosen to step onto?

“Hey, Chik-fil-a, great idea! When can we look for Drag Queen Story Hour on Sunday afternoons? Soon?”

  16. jsolbakken says:

    “G. K. Chesterton”

GK was a literary descendant of Alexander Pope, so, he knew how to be sarcastic. His point was to chide the supposed conservatives for not actually being conservative. He was not saying that the mistakes should be prevented from being corrected.
GK also said that a conservative is someone who is enamored of the present evils, whilst a progressive desires to replace them with new ones. Truly a master of sarcasm.

Alexander Pope is the acknowledged authority on satire. He wrote:
” Yes, I am proud; I must be proud to see
Men not afraid of God, afraid of me:
Safe from the Bar, the Pulpit,
    and the Throne,
Yet touch’d and sham’d by Ridicule alone.
O sacred Weapon! left for Truth’s defence,
Sole Dread of Folly, Vice, and Insolence!”
    Alexander Pope
circa AD 1738 (Epilogue to the Satires, II, 208–13.)

Therefore any time he does something stupid, it’s really just part of some elaborate 4D Chess game that will really come out to his favor in the end. It appears the author of this article has the same faith in Chick Fil A. I say put up or shut-up. If this really was a strategic move to own the libs, I’ll believe it when I see results.

  18. jsolbakken says:

” If this really was a strategic move to own the libs, I’ll believe it when I see results.”

No way, no how. This is a betrayal, pure and simple. This isn’t about politics and conservatism, this is about basic moral truth. You either believe that God created us male and female, or, you don’t. If to keep the peace you choose to join in with the Progressives in calling God a liar, then, we know whose side you are on, and your claims of being a God fearing Christian are a sham and a hoax and you expose your self as a scam artist.

“Just identify as a neo-reactionary or fascist or integralist or some combination of them. All of these ideologies are principled.”

I don’t agree. I think fascists and liberals are pragmatic rather than principled, and that’s a lot of what’s wrong with them. In that sense I don’t think of them as ideologies, as I don’t think that the Globalist Banksters have an ideology either, as such. Their ideology is power, power as in the ability to grind their jack boots in to the face of humanity for ever and ever and ever and ever.

  22. Asaph says:

Fine, what are your criticisms of neo-reactionaries and integralist.

My understanding is that a new “manager” of sorts has been put in charge of Chick-Fil-A and it’s his call. He couldn’t, however, be ignorant of the endless picketing of stores by the totalitarian Alphabet Soup sexual pervert brigade. Whoever appointed him also couldn’t be ignorant that conservatives in general and Christians in particular supported the chain’s stand.
    Two things
-There are severe warnings the risen Christ gives in the Book of Revelation about lukewarm Christians
-Isn’t there a single man in the USA who can get a fire hose and wash the front of the stores clean of this vile picketing freaky trash?

I’m going to warn my (too-liberal) church: Should LGBTIQ freaks come knocking, I’m going to make like Jesus in getting a whip and driving the polluters out of the sanctuary. Enough is enough.

  25. cynthia says:

Because they never see other conservatives’ battles as important, there will be nobody to defend them when they need it.

When are people going to wake up and realize we are in a state of total war with the Left? Any capitulation, every single inch of ground given over, every fight abandoned, no matter how small, is a loss to us and a win to them. They aren’t after any one specific thing; they’re after everything we have. We have to stop doing this to each other.

Conservatives seem more concerned with being reasonable and “ideological pure” and “morally consistent” than they do with preserving anything.

  26. feeriker says:

It also occurs to me that we’re witnessing here an early stage example of “wheat-from-tares separation,” with the lesson being that tares are going to become much more common and numerous.

    1. Don’t eat fast food it’s literal garbage. Just because it tastes good and seems wholesome doesn’t mean Jack shit
    2. Why is Chick-fil-A publicly donating to charity? That’s not Christianity it’s pharasaical.
    3. Has FCA never cucked? I seem to remember a Unitarian trend amongst them but I can’t be arsed to look.
    4. Salvation army is a humanist organization.

So a company we shouldn’t eat from stops publicly giving money and earning those virtue points to organizations that are probably filled with evil garbage people because that’s what large organizations are and we care because both those organizations suggest, maybe, that cutting your kids dick off is child abuse. Something I imagine Muslims understand. “Ya shabeb, do not be cutting off the child’s dick, you can still sodomize him regardless if he has a dick”

It’s just a chicken sandwich. Stop letting the grabblers bucket sort you. Grow your own chickens.

  29. jsolbakken says:

“Fine, what are your criticisms of neo-reactionaries and integralist.”

Neo-reactionary seems merely an insult and does not refer to anything substantive politically or philosophically so I have nothing to say about it in this context.
I can’t criticize integralism because I am my self an Christian Integralist. I believe that if one has good religious principles then they work well when applied to all of life’s problems. If one has unrealistic principles then, not so much.
My idea of applying Christian principles to social and political issues emphasizes the often forgotten principles of patience, forgiveness, forbearance, toleration, and especially anti-busybody-ism, as used in I Peter 4:15
“14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”

    Allotriepiskopos (al-lot-ree-ep-is’-kop-os);

Don’t you find it interesting that in this verse busybodies are implicitly compared with murderers, thieves, and general doers of evil?

    OT: @Dalrock

I liked your series of posts on chivalry and Christianity. The topic came up on Vox’s blog recently, and Vox had the following response to your thesis:

As Dalrock has explained, all that cultural bomb-throwers have to do is to borrow from the Satanic inversion that is chivalry, that puts women in the place of Jesus.

That’s not what chivalry is. Dalrock is confusing the literary tradition with the actual military ethos. This is basic Wikipedia-level knowledge.

Thou shalt believe all that the Church teaches and thou shalt observe all its directions (Believe the Church’s teachings and observe all the Church’s directions).
    Thou shalt defend the Church.
Thou shalt respect all weaknesses, and shalt constitute thyself the defender of them.
Thou shalt love the country in which thou wast born.
Thou shalt not recoil before thine enemy.
Thou shalt make war against the infidel without cessation and without mercy.
Thou shalt perform scrupulously thy feudal duties, if they be not contrary to the laws of God.
Thou shalt never lie, and shalt remain faithful to thy pledged word.
Thou shalt be generous, and give largesse to everyone.
Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil.

There is nothing inversive about it. Ironically, Dalrock’s description of chivalry is the inversion of the concept.

Would be interested if you had any response.

  31. Jake says:

As he’s said a thousand times, the word chivalry is used by modern users to describe Courtly love, which is an inversion of a biblical principle. I believe you could surmise that not once has dalrock spoken about a military ethos, and if you’d read any of his chivalry posts you would see that the collection of literature about chivalry stresses the inversion, and not the biblical principle.

Love vox, but I don’t see how you can autistically insist on a decrepit definition when the vast body of literary work about the thing stresses the importance of the inversion, and not following the Bible and all its precepts.

In addition, the code contradicts itself by including the inversion in the code right alongside the part you quote.

Now go stir shit elsewhere if you can’t be bothered to actually read the entries you said you enjoyed.

  32. okrahead says:

I like Popeye’s better anyway. Now, as some of the commenters have already noted, there are problems with the SA and FCA. That, however, is NOT the issue. The issue is that CFA caved in order to appease the alphabet people. I do not personally support the SA for numerous reasons; however if one of those reasons was to appease the sodomaniacs than I would be rightly run out of town on a rail

  33. okrahead says:

Of course, a simple negation, or sin of omission, will never be enough. The alphabet people will demand that CFA actually affirm their various predilections, even the pedophilic types. One thing you will notice inside most CFAs are play areas with scads of tykes tearing around willie-nillie. I suppose it must appear as a happy hunting ground to those drag queens insufficiently literate to loiter about the local libraries. In other words, it’s all about access, and this is just an opening shot to cow a formerly resistant audience to allow the sodomaniacs unfettered access to more children. I suppose there will soon be gay cowboys involved in some way or the other. Not to mention some poor calf with two bullish daddies.

It doesn’t matter much to me because I just like the chicken but conservatives still think there is a negotiation going on where they can appease their enemies and everyone will be happy. The only way to appease LGBT and the left is to become one of them. Anything short of hosting pride parades and you are an enemy.

The left breathes power so they understand what this is all about. The right still thinks it’s about ideas and being a good neighbor/citizen. That shipped sailed. You get nothing by appeasing so don’t bother unless you are ready to embrace your enemies. They will welcome your slide because they know their leverage is working on getting you to take the next step but it’s never enough.

  36. Gunner Q says:

Shrug, CFA was never an explicitly Christian company to my knowledge, not like In-N-Out. Standing against the vibrant tide was a good deed but never going to last when it wasn’t the mission statement.

Of course, appeasement is always a mistake but senior management is often short on Red Pills when not actively treacherous. If ending a couple million dollars’ donation lets them open many franchises then it certainly looks like a good business decision.

If Chick-Fil-A is serious about their pledge to stop holding hands with divisive anti-LGBTQ activists, then further transparency is needed regarding their deep ties to organizations like Focus on the Family, which exist purely to harm LGBTQ people and families.

Chick-Fil-A investors, employees, and customers can greet today’s announcement with cautious optimism, but should remember that similar press statements were previously proven to be empty.

In addition to refraining from financially supporting anti-LGBTQ organizations, Chick-Fil-A still lacks policies to ensure safe workplaces for LGBTQ employees and should unequivocally speak out against the anti-LGBTQ reputation that their brand represents. ~ Drew Anderson, GLAAD’s director of campaigns and rapid response

Death of an Instagram Girl: https://nypost.com/2019/07/15/woman-found-slain-after-grisly-photo-of-apparent-body-posted-on-instagram/

Count how many events in this story intersect with social media.

An upstate man allegedly slit the throat of a teenage social media influencer he was dating — then posted a grisly photo of her lifeless body to Instagram along with a message that said “sorry,” according to police and reports Monday.

Brandon Andrew Clark, 21, of Cicero allegedly posted the gut-wrenching image of Bianca Devins, 17, on Instagram early Sunday — after the pair had attended a concert in Queens — before bizarrely calling the cops on himself, Lt. Bryan Coromato said.

When cops found him lying next to his black SUV in Utica, he allegedly pulled a knife and slit his own throat, then posted a photo of his neck gushing blood on Instagram, the police officer said.

Afterward, he took a cellphone photo of himself lying across Devins’ dead body — which cops found under a green tarp near his SUV, police said.

Clark was rushed to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, where he underwent surgery, police said.

He later was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Devins — who has about 6,000 followers on Instagram and was reportedly popular as an “egirl” on the Tik Tok app, according to police and reports.

The pair, who met on a dating app, had been in a relationship for roughly two months when they went to a concert in Queens on Saturday night, according to Coromato.

They got into an argument at the show and drove to Utica, where police believe Clark allegedly pulled onto a side street and killed her, Coromato said.

Police first began getting calls from Clark’s concerned social media followers around 7:20 a.m., police said. Instagram deactivated his account Monday morning, a spokeswoman for the company said.

The bio for his Instagram account read “10/06/1997 – 7/14/19. Just know that I feel no pain now,” according to the news site. …

On Instagram, Devins’ sister, Olivia Devins, called Clark a “family friend.”

“It wasn’t just an ‘internet boyfriend’ this was a close family friend whom we’ve met and trusted so much. I do not want false information being spread around,” she wrote.

So apparently, two months after meeting on the internet now qualifies someone as a “close family friend,” that you “trust so much.”

Social media doesn’t cause evil, but it does incentivize evil.

CFA donated $115,000 to SA and $1,650,000 to FCA in 2018. Unless someone comes up with a better reason for their disassociation with SA and FCA, that’s $1,765,000 being diverted because of pressure from LGBT people.

The fact that the identity of CFA is so entangled with the culture war is a sign of the times and is indicative of how far we’ve come in the last 6 years. When the supreme court struck down DOMA in 2013 “conservatives” just seemed to run away from LGBT issues with their tail between their legs. Now people are wringing their hands because they can’t feel like they’re taking a stand by vicariously protesting social issues through a fast food restaurant.

  50. Opus says:

I am antipathetic to Charities (as were Bernard Mandeville and Leo Tolstoy to name but two). I take the view that if a company is so donating then it is either over-charging or in the alternative underpaying its employees – or perhaps paying for ‘special services’. We don’t I think over-here have Chick-fil-A but we do have Peat Marwick (KPMG) not that I have ever had one of their burgers who have just announced that they are withdrawing their £100,000 a year which is even more in $$$$$ donation to a certain children’s charity as though they don’t quite say it they now recognise that charity to be (possibly) a front for Paedophilia. We live in strange times: in America one may not express distaste for what everyone has always previously felt revulsion being along with incest the only sexual taboos both imposed by nature not by man and thus always with us and with which we are being now metaphorically deep-throated namely Homosexuality – incest of course also often being paedophilic; In England now one may not express or show attraction to pert, nubile members of the opposite sex even though they are of marrying age and even though one is single. Ripe fruit should be left on the vine to rot so say the ruined fruit menopausal women. Of course if that horse-faced Duchess had not frivorced the Duke he would not have been motivated to become a playboy. What else was he supposed to do save join a monastery – start a second family? Feminism thus creates the problem whilst then caning the men they have shafted for natural male instinct. The very idea that females might be sexually attracted to a Prince and not even of the half blood – I was I tell you shocked. That could never happen just ask female-empowerment feminist enthusiast Meghan Markle. Being a pervert like Reginald Dwight (Elton John to you) a man with a super-injunction (the new aristocracy) is however of course entirely acceptable indeed preferred and no ‘gay man’ (for me the words gay and predatory are interchangable) has ever been attracted to someone half his age and more just ask Stephen Fry.

Never apologise; never explain. The Duke is an idiot especially for agreeing to being interviewed by (((preying mantiss))) – as is chick-fil-A for caving – the vultures will in both cases circle.

  51. purge187 says:

“Vox seems to be at the point that anyone who doesn’t agree with every last thing he says (except for his long time friends like Nate) a complete and total idiot, or worse.”

He reached that point quite a while back. His new book deems him(self) as “the best-selling political philosopher on the planet.” More books than Coulter, Buchanan or Levin?

And I thought Milo was a narcissist.

  52. Lost Patrol says:

I was given to understand that Vox Day is a genius. Yet when confronted with what chivalry has become as shown at length by Dalrock, he defaults to the pedantry of explaining what it once was. It’s funny if you think of it as Scott described “jousting protocols”.

    Maybe he is a conservative.

  53. jsolbakken says:

    I Timothy 6:
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

    II Peter 2:
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

  54. jsolbakken says:

Haven’t you vile mindless minions played your selves out? How are not ashamed to show your hypocritical gamma faces on a real blog like Dalrock’s?
Tell your boss Alphaeus says hi.

  55. jsolbakken says:

“as jsolbakken seems to imply, spreading good ideas around is itself good”
I did not mean to imply, I meant to plainly state that William F Buckley was an operative of the Deep State, an agent of the Globalist Banksters, groomed and trained for the purpose of providing false leadership to otherwise trusting and unwary non-Progressives of all kinds.
How could such a infiltrator and saboteur do his job without telling some truth and some good ideas? The point is to attack what he seems to be supporting surreptitiously, in a way that doesn’t seem to go against his apparent ideals. WFB attacked patriots and nationalists the same way that Charlie Kirk and Ben Shapiro and TPUSA and Kimberley Guilfoyle do, using a lot of the language of the extremist antifa Left. But because of who they otherwise pretend to be, the connection goes unnoticed by the gullible.

  56. sipcode says:

This is a true story: only the genders have been changed, to protect the GUILTY.

  57. feeriker says:

As usual, the Babylon Bee called it from the beginning:

Another lesson to be learned here is that public figures (e.g., corporations, celebrities) who wear their “Christianity” on their sleeves whenever they think it will benefit them materially are going to find it a whole lot harder to be lukewarm and backslide when the label becomes a liability in terms of their relationship with the world at large. In Chick-Fil-A’s case a great (if not the largest) part of their appeal, and thus their profitability, is due to their Christian values that have made them stand apart from the competition. It is Christians, and those who otherwise hold Christian core values, who have stood up for the company in the past and have made it the success that it is, which is how the Lord has blessed this company and its ownership.

However, what the Lord gives, He can also take away. That is what is in store for Chick-Fil-A if ownership turns its back on its faith and panders to the world when their faith is put to the test. Jesus has no use for opportunistic pretenders.

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

“But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”

    Matthew 10:32‭-‬33 (KJV)

  58. vandicus says:

Democrats like messing with language, making it very difficult to have conversations about politics.

Everyone tends to be little ‘c’ conservative by reflex. This is not a political ideology but a bias against change.

Big C Conservatism in the United States is a form of English(19th century) Liberalism, in Australia for instance the equivalent group is the Liberal National Coalition.

Neoconservatives aren’t an ideological movement but originally a specific group of people, “liberals” who supported the US over the USSR in the cold war.

Facists(the title should most clearly be tied to the Italian facists since that’s literally where we get the name from) are socialist technocrats( they believe in ‘scientific’ governance), the American equivalent is the early 20th century progressive. FDR, Mussolini and Hitler have very similar views. They tend to be anti-religion and anti-tradition(except in so far as they create new ‘traditions’ for the purpose of a national mythos). They are anti-royalist and revolutionary in nature. The facist advertising of itself as a middle road between communism and classical liberalism is approximately correct.

Spanish facists aren’t facists. Francoists is truly an appropriate term for them. It most closely resembles royalism.

Reactionary, like liberal and conservative(does liberal economics mean capitalism or communism?), tends not to be a useful term. It is originally a pejorative used by revolutionaries to simply group everyone opposed to them together, and continues in this use. This term alongside facist when used to refer to others simply indicates an out-group(it is common for out-group communists to be called facists or reactionaries, Trotsky for instance)

American Protestantism is going to fold like a house of cards with only moderate persecution and I for one welcome it.

  61. Hmm says:

Back pedaling maybe, but you can be sure that CFA will never again contribute to any Christian organization that takes a stand for Christian sexual morality. They’ll give money to a few “woke” groups that have nothing to say about the Alphabet people.

  65. Anonymous Reader says:

The trouble is, many churchgoing people patronize CFA as a “way to push back at the culture”. They don’t go to a lot of movies, they cut the Cable TV cord, they won’t shop at Target, and they do go to CFA sometimes. In-and-Out burger does not offer the same “cultural resistance”. It’s like sending their children to the local church school – not ideal, but better than nothing.

CFA may be in the process of capitulation, and there’s the problem. It’s going to be a problem for CFA no matter how they attempt to handle this blunder.

    A Regular Guy
All this noise over The Salvation Army?!?! ROFLMAO! Who cares? The founder’s wife was a “preacher” who advocsted for Strong Women preachers!

No org is perfect and the imperfection gets worse. However at this point CFA is being extorted to disavow both the SA and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes “or else” – this can only lead to more demands, as we already see.

  66. jsolbakken says:

Vox Day is a fool because he makes enemies without any good reason for it. I used to overlook his antics because I tended to agree with him most of time, but eventually I had to accept that his mental and emotional instability makes him too unreliable to take seriously. It seems he only swerves randomly in to the truth, but just as often careens wildly in to asinine and unnecessary error, and with a lot of snide and smarmy attitude as well. He’s pretty disgusting, actually.

What does your personal problem with another man have to do with Chick-Fil-A’s foolish decision?

  68. Out of Nod says:

To those who are dishing on Vox:

    1) both him and Dalrock can both be correct, chivalry was originally a military idea (you feed my horse, I’ll protect you) but like a lot of our ideas it became subverted. There is nothing new under the sun.

    2) I’ve disagreed with Vox a few times on his blog and haven’t been banned. Most people that have been banned either can’t stay on topic, are disrespectful to him/don’t follow the rules of his blog, or give him a wall of text. He has set a standard to keep the quality of discussion high.

    3) Dalrock and Vox have both had disagreements through their posts and yet they still support each other. Quit trying starting drama.

This just indicates that somebody at the top of the corporate pyramid at CFA is horrifyingly stupid (as in “sub-70 IQ, profoundly mentally retarded” stupid). Dear God, what used to be widely known as “Common Sense” makes it clear that the only reason for making this kind of move is if you want to sabotage your own company.

Let’s hope heads roll over this. Otherwise Chick-Fil-A is gonna go the way of Burger Chef and Quizno’s, and deservedly so. You don’t leave that kind of stupid in charge of anything and expect it to survive, let alone succeed.

I’m not debating the point. I’m soliciting an expert opinion from Dalrock, which he has graciously provided.

Chivalry is not my heritage. I don’t know much about chivalry. On the other hand, Dalrock has done his research. So I am thankful that he has written about it, and that he has written further about it in response to Vox’s opinion on Dalrock’s position.

  80. Cane Caldo says:

According to this article, it looks wicked.

    https://www.christianpost.com/voice/mat-staver-responds-to-franklin-graham-chick-fil-a-is-now-funding-pro-lgbt-group.html

Now that the funding commitment has expired, Chick-fil-A says it will no longer fund the Salvation Army and FCA, even though the Salvation Army fits within its giving priority of funding organizations that provide housing and food banks, and FCA provides education. Instead, Tassopoulos states Chick-fil-A will now fund Covenant House International, which is much smaller than the Salvation Army (in only 31 cities) and an LGBTQ activist.

Tassopoulos, speaking of funding Covenant House, states: “This provides more focus and more clarity.” At least he is correct, and this clarity reveals the betrayal.

The founder of Covenant House, a Catholic priest pedophile, was sued for allegedly sexually abusing the youth who were seeking shelter and food. Covenant House proudly promotes LGBTQ on its website, referring to “LGBTQ Inclusion Initiatives,” and even doing an “inclusion assessment” at every one of its facilities.

Covenant House also proudly supports the New York City Gay Pride parade with its own float, banners, t-shirts, and hastag #CovUnity. Covenant House is recognized as a national funder of LGBTQ causes.

Chick-fil-A dumps the Salvation Army because it wants to expand into new markets and now shuns originations the LGBT activists falsely call “anti-LGBT,” and then turns 180 degrees to announce that it will now fund Covenant House, a radical LGBTQ activist organization that celebrates homosexuality, transgenderism, and the entire LGBTQ agenda.

And Covenant House does not stop at LGBTQ activism; it also takes girls to abortion clinics.

According to his corporate bio, Tim Tassopoulos (the COO who changed CFA’s donations policy)

Passionate about youth and education [emphasis added], Tassopoulos is a member of several guiding academic and youth development boards, including: the board of trustees of Oglethorpe University, the board of advisors at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, the board of trustees for Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, and the advisory board of the Atlanta Area Council for the Boy Scouts of America.

His passion is grooming other people’s children.

  81. jsolbakken says:

“The founder of Covenant House, a Catholic priest pedophile, was sued for allegedly sexually abusing the youth who were seeking shelter and food. ”

Wow, man, this is shocking and stunning, but, not at all surprising. The good thing about what Chick fil A has done is cause a lot of this evil wickedness to be exposed when otherwise it would not have been.

  82. info says:

One of the other roots of cuckservatism aside from “chivalry” is bridal mysticism:
    http://podles.org/church-impotent.htm

In chapter six he quotes writings from men influenced by this form of worship that is almost uniquitous among western Christianity. That to be a Christian men must become “women” individually as a “bride of christ” who is “lover of his soul” this romanticism which is inherently erotic.

As if man is to be the “passive partner” in the relationship.

Psychologically effeminates the men participating in that form of worship. And is in my opinion a huge contributor to cuckery. And if gay men and women are among the most religious in this kind of religion then its no surprise.

This form of inappropriate “worship” is very gay.

  83. Oscar says:

One of the other roots of cuckservatism aside from “chivalry” is bridal mysticism

I think they’re two sides of the same coin. I’m not sure if one caused the other, of if both are caused by a third factor, but they certainly seem inseparable.
