I had planned on changing the subject, but haven’t had time to write the next post I plan on writing. In the meantime, the Christian press continues to feed Naghmeh Abedini’s cravings for attention. Ironically this latest round involves Naghmeh teaching her social media followers that they need to fight the urge to seek fame and attention, especially in the form of social media followers:
A main theme during my time of prayer and fasting seems to be becoming aware of our (my) friendship with the world as followers of Christ. I am being made more and more aware of how we (including me) are allowing its subtle ways get to us and it is putting the body of Christ to sleep. My travels over the last 3 years have opened my eyes to the condition that the body of Christ is in. Pursuing fame, wealth and “followers/numbers” has become normal in the Christian world. We are becoming like the world and we are totally Ok with that. Yet the scripture has serious warnings even calling us ENEMIES OF GOD.
See the recent articles from Charisma News, Christian Today, and the Christian Post. All of these stories are based on recent Facebook posts by Naghmeh which don’t reference Saeed in any way (here and here). All of the news stories however still do mention Pastor Saeed, since he is the only reason Naghmeh’s Facebook writings are in any way newsworthy. Strangely, the Christian Post article makes it sound like Naghmeh is still advocating for her husband’s release, and isn’t launching a new solo act:
The Boise mother of two has spent a good portion of the last three years traveling around the country raising awareness for Christian persecution and the imprisonment of her husband in Iran.
Pastor Abedini has spent over three years in an Iranian prison despite international pressure for his release. Groups such as the American Center for Law and Justice have said that the American citizen is being punished by the Iranian regime for his Christian faith.
Naghmeh Abedini has pleaded before Congress to do more to expedite her husband’s release, and has also spoken out about the many other Christians held in Iranian prisons.
The Post knows she has stopped advocating for Saeed after bizarrely accusing him of abusing her from prison, because they reported it in their November 14 article Naghmeh Abedini Halts Public Advocacy, Citing Marital Abuse, Stress (emphasis mine):
Naghmeh Abedini, the wife of imprisoned U.S. Pastor Saeed in Iran, has said she is suspending her public advocacy for her husband, which she has kept up for more than three years, citing continued psychological and sexual abuse in her marriage among other reasons.
Even the photo for the article makes it look like she is still advocating for Saeed, as it shows a picture of her at a vigil for her husband with Rev Franklin Graham. Given her blatant desire to turn sympathy for her husband into a Christian leadership role for herself, this photo she prominently includes on her twitter page would be much more appropriate.
Clearly the papers know that Naghmeh’s Facebook posts about her spiritual insight as she temporarily abstains from coffee, chocolate, soda, and chips are not noteworthy unless they can be framed as part of the larger story of the persecution of Saeed. The longer Naghmeh goes without advocating for Saeed, the less interested the press will be in her social media posts. This will happen more quickly if posts about Naghmeh have this disconnect politely and consistently called out by readers. In the meantime, they continue write articles on her facebook posts while playing up the Saeed angle. Not surprisingly, Naghmeh has continued her efforts to morph herself into the role of persecuted Christian leader (replacing her husband):
This is why I went to Iran as a missionary a month after September 11, 2001 when everyone was avoiding airplanes and the Middle East. This is why I refused to deny Christ when in the summer of 2004 (in Iran) I had guns pointed to my head and told to deny Jesus and return to Islam if I wanted to live.
You know, when I said the Fasting was going to be Virtue Signaling, I didn’t expect it to be THAT accurate. She hasn’t even made it to the “juice cleanse” level.
Looking Glass beat me to it: my entire reaction to your post was “Wait… she calls that a fast?” I’d call that more of a diet.

Interesting what Jesus had to say about fasting (Matt 6:16-18):
“16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.”
Naghmeh is courting condemnation. Jesus expressly forbade “fast – posing” and she is doing exactly that by posting it on her Facebook page.
The Christian Press is getting on board for the ride. It seems that, like their secular colleagues, they are lazy in refusing to do the hard yards of journalism – digging up the truth, doing the research, exposing the lies. Instead they make copy with fluff pieces, this story included.
Christians, stop subscribing to them.
The question is why? Why would she do this?
Doing my part, broseph.
+1 to Boxer.
These call-outs of various nefarious pseudo-Christians don’t get exposure without others spreading the content to a wider audience.
Ironically, this latest round involves Naghmeh teaching her social media followers that they need to fight the urge to seek fame and attention, especially in the form of social media followers:
Oh, solipsism! Thy true given name is woman, and thy middle name hypocrisy!
LOL. If what she is doing is what I think it is, she sees a golden opportunity to take her husband’s role as oppressed leader. I can only imagine what his response will be if ever he gets out?
I wonder if she actually does talk to him at all. And how, if she is in fact turning on him, how she will make his plight all about her.
Dire times to be a Godly husband indeed!
@Boxer
Thanks. I left a comment on the Christian Post article as well. So far no other comments there. I suspect Naghmeh is no longer a hot topic for their readers. The whole thing is unseemly.

I really, truly, sincerely hope for his sake that he’s in the dark about what she’s doing. Unfortunately, I cannot think of a more effective and potentially lethal PSYOP torture weapon available to his Iranian captors/torturers than to make him fully aware of the extent of her betrayal of him.
Way to go, Nagmeh, aiding and abetting the enemy (both temporal AND spiritual). I hope you’re proud of yourself and that you have a spellbinding explanation ready for Judgment Day.
She’s been Westernized.
Imagine thousands of females readers of Dalrock asking:
“Where are these Iranian prisons and HOW do I get My husband
into one of these so I can be pop-pop-popular too?
Never forget you are disposable men, each and EVERY one of us.
(you)
Now go snuggle up to the gender enemy.
Kisses,love.
this is not simple hypocrisy.
neither is this simple projection.
this also ‘helps’ reduce the amount of competition for eyeballs that she faces in her search for influence.
the foolish but well intentioned may actually listen to Nagmeh’s words and either abandon the popularity contest OR defer to Nagmeh’s own attention whoring. either servers her purpose.
“Fasting” = losing weight so she can slip into the little black dress.
While it is fun to mock her, if this part is really true “This is why I refused to deny Christ when in the summer of 2004 (in Iran) I had guns pointed to my head and told to deny Jesus and return to Islam if I wanted to live”, then it should serve as a warning to all of us. When the bible says “we wrestle against flesh and blood”, wrestle is the key word. This isn’t a knockout game which many Christians are able to resist by NOT denying their faith. Rather it is in the daily grind like a wrestling match, the enemy continues to put pressure on Christians until they are put in submission.
*we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood”
“This is why I refused to deny Christ when in the summer of 2004 (in Iran) I had guns pointed to my head and told to deny Jesus and return to Islam if I wanted to live”
After accusing her persecuted husband of spousal abuse, even though the man was thousands of miles away, she has lost all credibility in my book. Until her story is corroborated by someone else, enquiring minds will want to know what she actually did to get away from her persecutors, after she refused to deny Jesus Christ. It couldn’t be that they pointed the gun to her head, demanded that she denied Jesus, and she said “No, I won’t!” Then, the persecutors said “Alright. You can go. Make sure you tell your followers of Facebook how brave you were at gunpoint”.
Christianity doesn’t need the Beth Moore that we have, much less a hypocritical, backstabbing wannabe.
@Dave
Maybe…Did King David lose all credibility after becoming an adultery and a murder? This is the same line the media feeds us. If Arnold Schwarzenegger or Tiger Woods cheats, suddenly they are no longer great men. It’s bullshit, everyone sins including Nahmeh. The bigger problem that Dalrock pointed out is that while the media come down hard on Woods and Schwarzenegger, the Christian media calls evil good, and good evil when it comes to women like Nahmeh.
*I agree Nahmeh Iranian story needs to be vetted
@Anchorman:
Given some of her further actions, I’m coming to the conclusion that Nagmeh doesn’t have another man *yet*. What she is desperately after is the fame & attention. And that allows her access to more attractive Men. The further impression suggests that Saeed is being converted into her “inconvenient” pathway to that access. She has probably gotten far too much exposure to the well-known Men in “Christian” circles, some who command a room very well.
It’s also possible she isn’t the divorcing “type”. There is a portion of Women that are like that. They’d never divorce a Husband, but they’ll work very hard to make the Marriage into a cordial roommate situation.
I also say that because she apparently hasn’t even got to the “Juice Cleanse” level of “Fasting”. (I would have a REALLY hard time calling this a fasting for Spiritual Discipline, but that’s another story.) If she hasn’t gotten to that point, then she’s not losing weight. If she’s not trying to slim down hard, it strikes me that she isn’t in full “get a Man” mode. [Side-note: this is why starvation diets are so popular with Women. They want the sympathy & attention that goes along with… getting to a proper weight so they can get attention from Men.]
Story continues to get more sad.

+1. Think we could get Michael Bay to make the movie of her escape? I like his special effects better than the Fireproof guys. At least the bomb will have a boom, right?
Jihadist 1: “Die, blasphemer!” *finger tightens on trigger*
Jihadist 2: “*whispers* Dude, the gun’s unloaded. I couldn’t afford bullets.”
J1: “Fine, use our sword.”
J2: “I thought you had it.”
J1: “Feck. *louder* Wait here, blasphemer!”
Nagmeh: “Kung-Fu Stiletto Heels!”
I find it too easy to get caught up in the cynicism in this and I respond with the kinds of comments I’m not proud of like the one above. It’s one of the reasons I closed my FB account years ago. I should be speaking life, not venom.
I find it too easy to get caught up in the cynicism in this and I respond with the kinds of comments I’m not proud of like the one above.
It might not be “nice,” but it’s still the truth. Funny how truth tends to be that way.
And in a related story, Kim Jong Il urges world leaders to be less batshit insane.
Understandable, but there’s another way women push divorce without actually pushing divorce.
They make the life of their husband so miserable, he demands a divorce or walks away. Then, she’s “forced” to move on.
This tactic was used on me. My ex made my life miserable. However, I refused to quit. This went on for years. Why would she stay in a marriage she openly stated she hated and wanted to end? Vows? Hardly. She wanted me so miserable that I’d quit.
Still, I refused to do it. Then came the abuse allegations. She accused me of abuse. Had me evicted from the house. Made the relationship radioactive, because she and I both knew she was lying. No way I’d reconcile, because she signaled she was capable of anything. So, I filed for divorce.
This absolves the wife of the “guilt” of the divorce. She plays the victim card. She gets the hand-pats. She divorces the “abuser” and he has the “gall” to divorce her!
I never really thought about the similarities until today. Of course, I haven’t been tortured for Christ.
I wonder if we’ll see the torment continue and ratchet up until he divorces her.
Then, she will hit the circuit.

yeah, one of my friends married the sister of another friend and she pulled this stunt. accused him of all kinds of emotional cruelty, threatened to commit suicide, abusive viewing of porn, blah, blah, blah. she forced him to go to marriage counseling … and when he immediately started going to the counselor she refused to go. i don’t think she went to a single session.
anyways, she broke down and filed for divorce before she started accusing him of physical violence or ‘marital rape’ or anything like that.
the problem, from her point of view, was that her father ( an engineer ) quite liked her husband ( another engineer ). so she was trying to extricate herself from the relationship without having her dad ask, “why?”
OMG, this article is a goldmine for Dalrock :
Are men to blame for women being childless?.
Melanie Whitehouse is certainly one of these women. And she is clear about the cause of her childlessness: men.
Or rather, the lack of men who were willing to settle down and start a family with her. The heartbreaking realisation that she was never going to have a baby struck late – in her 50s, while at a reunion lunch with her first boyfriend, whom she had dumped on a whim.
Plus, many of the women had affairs with married men, and now whine that these men didn’t leave their wives for the slutty mistress..
The One at 10:33 a.m. —
It’s educational that Arnold, Tiger, David and (in absentia) Saeed all were cucked. All via their wives.
David’s big boo-boo wasn’t promiscuity. God wouldn’t like that but at least it’s common in strong males, Biblical and otherwise. The great offense was being influenced by his wife (Adamic sin) to kill without just cause.
In a similar but lesser way, the series of posts here illustrate the ‘cuckholding’ of Saeed’s ministry by his wife, with aid of male influences fronting false Christianity.
Contrary to popular opinion, it wasn’t Tiger’s promiscuity that effectively ended his career. As many persons as that affected negatively, damage was limited. But when Tiger lied about the DV etc., he cucked millions of men. That can’t be quantified or captured on vidcam, but it is real nevertheless. He was told at the time that his show was over.
Again: in these examples we see continuing and varied aspects of the Adamic error. By acknowledging and countering the error, we help rebuild fatherhood and family, albeit in small ways. By rejecting the Adamic error, we also encourage Father through Christ to heal or remove the error. They’re going to do that anyway eventually, I’d just like eventually to get here a little sooner.
In all of this, I hope guys are remembering the person that matters: Saeed Abedini.
He needs our prayers and support in this hour of his need.
+10 to @LookingGlass at 3:46 pm, among many good posts (when can we have a
LIKE button?)
I have finally figured out what the Naghmeh Abedini story is all about: She wants a societally-sanctioned and church-sanctioned divorce from her jailed and persecuted husband. That’s it. That’s why she is accusing him of abuse. It is for the same reason women accuse men of abuse in general: They want a guilt-free divorce with a maximal amount of resource transfer to the women.
And she is in a hurry, because even by churchian and forgiving standards, her looks and marital market value are dropping like a rock. And she has learned the power of social mediia posing from when she used to be advocating for her husband. Now she is using that knowledge and platform to campaign for a guilt-free divorce from her persecuted husband, as well as to seek a new and more powerful and wealthier husband.
Wow, it is quite a racket she has created.
Well at least we know who the real victim is. And we thought it was Saeed, that poseur.
Looks like the fallout will soon begin. Pastor Saeed has allegedly been released. He certainly still needs our support and prayer.
http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/16/middleeast/iran-jason-rezaian-prisoners-freed/index.html
Glad to hear that Saeed is free. I hope his wife Naghmeh can find some dignity and quit attention whoring on the internet. She hasn’t set a good example for her children, but it isn’t too late for her, I think.
Boxer
(Bitch, I know you’re reading here. Shut your trap and be nice to you husband.)
Good news indeed!
Now let’s hope that Saeed has so far been in the dark about Nagmeh’s nonsense of late. The last thing he needs to have to deal with right now is marital drama.
And a hearty second to Boxer’s closing comment above.
@Anchorman
Sorry to hear of your destroyed marriage. May God bless and comfort you, and any men betrayed by his wife.
My heart aches for Pastor SAEED ABEDINNI as he stated on A NEWSREEL dated MARCH 30 th 2016,how much tougher and harder his life is outside of Prison due to these totally false accusations .She seems like a liar &most horrid person using the guise of born again believer to cover up for her true carnal self. She sure is exerting power & is being used greatly bySATAN to destroy this Godly man .
I’m sure some fault can lie a little with him as i n all marriages ,but on reading reading details of police report after he was arrested in his home state ..The details read badly for her .SHE slammed down the laptop lid deliberately whilst he was either skypeing or messaging his parents. .SHE didn’t approve of what he was saying so she slammed down the lid terminating the conversation!! .Then,Nagmeh rang police because according to her statement, he shoved her out of the room !
Question :-Who started the aggression ?
Answer:- Her .
Idetest what she is doing to her husband’ s chartacter and livelihood as a pastor with this Damocles sword over his head He cannot preach again or take charge of an assembly /congregation .What a wicked lady .
