Rejoice! The ACLJ has confirmed that Pastor Saeed Abedini has been let out of prison!
We can now officially confirm that Pastor Saeed has been freed. In addition there are reports that 3 other Americans imprisoned in Iran have also been released.
News broke late last night that Pastor Saeed had been taken from his prison cell to Iran’s Central Intelligence agency. While the details are still coming in, we can confirm that this morning he was released.
This is a major victory. We are incredibly grateful to the more than 1.1 million people who have joined us in fighting across the globe for Pastor Saeed’s freedom.
They even include a supportive response from Naghmeh:
“This has been an answer to prayer. This is a critical time for me and my family. We look forward to Saeed’s return and want to thank the millions of people who have stood with us in prayer during this most difficult time.”
With Saeed’s release we should continue to pray for healing, both physical healing as well as reconciliation in his family. God-speed Saeed.
H/T Robert
Guess we’ll find out whether the predictions of Naghmeh blowing up the marriage come true.
I’m praying that she doesn’t.
Well, she’s already headed for another branch…..or don’t you understand hypergamy?
I just read the article of his release!
Great News!

Well, THIS could be awkward….
So glad he is free.
This is great news
Well, THIS could be awkward….
My thoughts exactly. Oh, to be able to read Nagmeh’s thoughts right now …
But that said, praise God for Saeed’s freedom! May he come home to a loving and nurturing family, and may the trauma suffered during the last three years heal quickly.
Were I a relative or close friend of his, I would have hired a Private Investigator as soon as she started running her mouth publicly. She’s probably been running around on him the whole time he’s been in jail.
Nagmeh will probably go silent as she “forgives Saeed for all that has happened in the past”. Moreover, when asked by the media about the “abuse”, she wouldn’t want to talk about it, but rather “put the past in the past and look forward to the future with her family”.
It will take a while before Saeed realizes how much damage his wife has done to his reputation, particularly in America. He may be asked some awkward questions during his interview tours around the world and particularly all around America. As expected, Saeed will eventually forgive his wife, and truly put the past behind him.
Very glad things turned around for the better for this pastor.
Bet she’s hating life. I don’t know if she had time to milk this guy’s soul sufficient to her intent to portray herself as the victim. She now has to explain her accusations, perhaps a little sooner than she had planned and without as much embroidery to her story as she wanted. Ok, so now does she go BACK with him, or maintain her accusations, betrayal and desertion?
All she had to do was hang in there another couple of months and she could now have all the attention she wanted as the loving and loyal wife who adores and supports her husband through any travails. Get your popcorn, this should be good.
The timing of this is rather convenient. It has been 3 years, why now? It makes me wonder if there was some truth the hypothesis that Iran (or our own state department) was leaning on Nagmeh. Another likely possibility is that Iran was holding him as a bargaining chip and they were watching the value of that chip drop as Saeed was politically burned, or Nagmeh dropping support got back to him and he finally cracked.
Note that in only one of these possibilities has her behavior been justified. Personally, I think there is a non-trivial likeliness that it was part of the negotiations. Either our own state department requested that Nagmeh burn Saeed in order to weaken Iran’s bargaining position or Iran made it a requirement in order to prevent him from being politically influential in the future. However, if this is the case, it is extremely unlikely that anyone involved will make it known that this happened.
She won’t be asked about the abuse by any media, at least not in any substantive way. Across our culture, there is a tacit understanding, that despite feminists protestations to the contrary, women are hysterical children that sometimes “make shit up”, and this will be seen as just that “part of life people (women) sometimes go thru” and “folks, it’s really a private matter between them” and all the other White Knightedry that will go on.
And he will probably do the same…society demands it. That women be forgiven for any indiscretion, including false allegations of abuse against their wives, and even children. As men, we are supposed to cool with it, and understand it was “just really a difficult time” for her. And if he sued her for slander/defamation, which arguably he has a cause of action to do so, he will be derided by the very same White Knights, particularly Christian types.
He will do best to play along, since he probably isn’t wiling to go outside the system and MGTOW her ass and the entire Church. He has to choose a horse, and it will be the one he’s been riding (the American Liberal Evangelical Church).
She won’t even feel shame for doing any of this. None. She will be the victim and expect her to be back on parade for paid speeches.
Not for the reasons implied. Three other prisoners were released at the same time, one of whom was Amir Hekmati, the former marine held on espionage charges for several years. It was part of a prisoner exchange between the US and Iran. The Iranians got 6 Americans charged with helping them violate sanctions released from federal custody as part of the deal.
I pray the Lord gives this man wisdom and peace in these coming days. May the Lord bless Him abundantly and make the crooked paths straight. May his reunion with his children be joyous and may He somehow bring healing to the mess that he is returning to in his marriage. May He return the years the locusts have eaten. In Christ Jesus’ Name, Amen.
His release was incidental to the release of a WashPost reporter, a kid-student and a couple or three others. Most of the significance is the release of oil and cash sanctions related to the nuclear deal. what is of significance to us about Abedini’s release isn’t part of the story that is linked at Drudge. Naghmeh is either to get a pass or else amplify and go ahead with her plan to betray Saeed.
Notice carefully the phrasing of Nag-mee’s response: “This has been an answer to prayer.’
AN answer, not THE answer. She soundsdisappointed.
Great news 🙂
Maybe it was Nag-Me’s pious fast that convinced his captors?
Pastor Saeed’s wife Naghmeh, responded:
“This has been an answer to prayer. This is a critical time for me and my family. We look forward to Saeed’s return and want to thank the millions of people who have stood with us in prayer during this most difficult time.”
I think this is ominous. “Critical Time” = “Time for the Wakeup Call.” He will forgive her no matter how many coal trains she pulled while he was away. He will not exact true penance or discipline his wife in any way for being unfaithful, disloyal, and likely violating her marital vows in other ways. She will drop her lover/EmotionalAffair/future or current Fuckbuddy and return to her husband. Then she will begin an unconscious campaign to destroy his life, oppose him in everything, and make his life a living Hell on Earth- worse by far than any Iranian prison.
Mark my words, before the pastor’s jet lag wears off Nag-Me will be treating him like Catherine treated Caleb in Fireproof. The Pastor will double down on Bluepill love and false Goddess worship of the golden uterus- and we will likely see the actual result of this behavior vs. the false Fireproof depiction.
Hint: Bowing down and worshiping her doesn’t make Nag-Me all tingly like Catherine and Saeed doesn’t get remarried in a vile and disgusting scene at the end of this movie.
He may be asked some awkward questions during his interview tours around the world and particularly all around America.
No doubt, and by so-called “Christian” journalists at that, whose ethics differ not at all from those who write for the National Inquirer. In fact, he probably won’t even have his second foot firmly planted on American soil for the first time in nearly four years before one of these vultures asks him, point blank, if he really abused his wife.
Can’t seem to get away from the idea that this is not actually happy news to her.

In fact, he probably won’t even have his second foot firmly planted on American soil for the first time in nearly four years before one of these vultures asks him, point blank, if he really abused his wife.
I don’t see that as such a bad thing. Maybe he’d finally be able to respond to the gossip that the “Christian” media sites have been spreading about him. I just wonder how loaded their questions will be, though. I wonder if it will be more like, “Have you stopped abusing your wife?”
I think Naghmeh could set a good example for many modern women if she quits attention whoring on fukbook/twatter/instafag immediately, and works to heal whatever bad feelings are between herself and her husband. In doing so she would be elevating herself far above most other women (Christian or whatever) and would be fulfilling her potential, unlike most of these other ho’s we talk about. She needs to become a proper wife again and I think we should all be supportive of this.
Whatever she has or hasn’t done is for her husband to discover and pass judgment on. Let’s not be like women, who drive married people apart with all sorts of looney speculation that no one has any evidence for. I’m sure he will find this place and he should feel like we have cared about him. After all, he was a political prisoner who didn’t do anything wrong, was punished unjustly.
Glad he is free. Hope his reunion is good and he has a nice peaceful life with his family who loves him.
Boxer
Wonderful new!

Yes, that would be a good thing over the long term, after he has readjusted to covilzation.
My point was that after three-plus years of enduring unimaginable brutality and suffering through a hell most us will never face, the LAST thing Saeed needs to be blindsided with as the first thing he faces on his return home is news of his wife’s betrayal. Put yourself in Saeed’s place: would YOU want the FIRST thing to greet you upon returning home after a years-long ordeal to be the news that the one person on earth whose love gave you hope and whom you placed faith in, the one human who was supposed to “have your back,” had in fact stabbed you in the back? I think many of us would come unhinged at that point. Saeed might even take the first plane back to Tehran upon receiving such news.
AAAAARGH … make that civilization. One day WordPress will all9w corrections…
Well, Saeed has already been convicted in the Churchianity court..its all damage control from now on.
I’d like to buy him a beer, after he’s had time to catch up on all the drama over in GreatSatanistan.
Several beers, in fact.

I can’t tell what’s going on anymore. Either there’s a freak-ton of coincidences converging upon a single point in time or Dalrock has unearthed the most perfect soap opera for our generation or this is one of those little moments in history God uses to tie up a lot of loose ends we’ll never be able to completely figure out.
“This is a major victory. We are incredibly grateful to the more than 1.1 million people who have joined us in fighting across the globe for Pastor Saeed’s freedom.”
It’s a victory all right, a victory for King Jeshua. If you think the ACLJ arranged this, pls. contact me about Florida land lots.
Sure, it didn’t hurt that Iran is obsessed with nukes right now, just like it didn’t hurt to see Saeed’s name plastered around this site. Keeps the pressure on.
Praise the Lord for his mercy! Our powerful king, close to our prayers.
This will be interesting. She can play all of this off when she meets him. I’m sure he wasn’t on the internet while in prison. Chances are she is tarnished with all of the attention she has gotten as the loving wife and as the abuse victim. Winnie Mandela comes to mind once again.
While I’m pleased that Pastor Saeed is out of prison, if he was close to the Lord there, he might feel like returning soon. And that’s not actually a joke. Persecution brings the Spirit near, and even in the torment, it’s a “better” place than all of the world’s pleasures. At the same time, he’s been brutalized by the Iranians. Which adds a wrinkle to all of this.
Let’s just be honest, Pastor Saeed has served 4 years in an Iranian Torture Prison. He is going to be a very “hard man” after that experience. All of his personal relationships are going to be drastically effected by that.
Though I can’t call this a “good day”. He’s only being released as a “booby prize” for Obama & Kerry ensuring a Middle East Nuclear War in a few years. The Saudis will collect up their nukes from Pakistan (ever wonder who actually funded that project?), and someone might actually just push the button in the next decade. Not that a proxy war hasn’t been raging for several years already.
1 Samuel 9 comes to mind. The Lord will let you fall into your chosen foolishness. We should be reminded of that a lot.
Looking Glass…..right on! The House of Saud is locked into a war of survival with Iran. The problem is this……Saudis use mercenaries and hired tech mechanics. Iran basically doesn’t. You just have to wonder about Pakistani nuclear weapons. Are they 1.0 safe? Belmont Club posits that there will be a huge nuclear accident in the Islamic Nuclear industry.
Saud will fall to internal fighting. We will see that huge family beheaded. Israel ain’t going to escape.
We should keep praying for Pastor Saeed and his family. Though rescued from the jaws of one monster he now must face the wolves in sheep clothing here in the West and deal with whatever damage may have been done to his family in his absence.
Jer 32:17 ‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.

You know, part of Nagmeh’s comment reads like standard “PR-Speak”, but on reading it again, something is SO far off. The word that is missing is “overjoyed”. Or something to that affect. I’ve had long-asked prayers answered; life-changing events. Yet it comes across as less joyful than beating your friend on a $20 bet over a football game.
I don’t want to over-analyze it much, seeing as it could have been written by a PR person in the first place (after being coaxed out of her), but the more I think about it, the far more something seems terribly far afield from the real response.

Her follow up posts are likely to throw more lights on her state of mind. A very happy woman in her shoes can’t wait to update her readers about the step-by-step progress of her husband’s release.
She is shocked by his release, but she is not backing down on the abuse allegations;
““She confirmed that she had experienced “physical, emotional, psychological, and sexual abuse through her husband’s addiction to pornography.” She wrote at the time, “The abuse started early in their marriage and has worsened during Saeed’s imprisonment,” which she confirmed on Saturday. The two had been speaking by phone and through Skype, but she said she has not spoken with him since October.”
“I think he would have to deal with a lot of issues,” she said. “There will need to be a time of healing for him and his family.”
@looking glass, You know, part of Nagmeh’s comment reads like standard “PR-Speak”, but on reading it again, something is SO far off.”
What is “off” to you is that Naghema is a feminist slut coached by other feminist Christian sluts to extract maximum value from Saeed’s circumstance. I suspect this is all routine, except Naghmeh didn’t expect him to come home so soon. Her party is over. She either comes home to her man or completes the betrayal. I’m voting that she completes the betrayal. Feminist sluts are like that.
This is fantastic news! God is good!
“Well, THIS could be awkward….”
After reading his letters to Naghmeh, he may very well forgive her. He was ministering to his wife with a Christ-filled spirit while under such mind-blowing suffering, it was amazing. How can the sins of a treacherous woman break you when you have God on your side?
It is great news that Pastor Saeed is free. It tells us tangibly that there is hope even when the world is getting spiritually darker. Christians, rejoice!
Naghmeh reminds me of an incident in my childhood. My godfather was a kindly man who smoked too many of those stinky cigarines. He worked as a manual labourer and supplemented his life by growing his own vegetables, tending his own chickens and often trading his labour for other things, like wine. He was married to a former prostitute who treated him like crap. She was a peroxide-blond, crew-cutted smoker who was considered “brassy” but really was rude and ugly. More than once my father was called because she had a lover in the house who threatened my godfather with his own shotgun. She would belittle her husband in public, get drunk and tell everyone how lousy he was in bed – the works.
My godfather then won the lottery*. She then said at the celebration party:
“Cross my heart. I’ve loved him all the time!”
-which will be Naghmeh’s refrain…until she goes the way of Ronda Rousey….
*the sum was 24 000 pounds sterling, which in 1950s Australia would have been enough to retire on
Thank God for delivering Saeed.
I believe all options would be open for Pastor Saeed. He should take time to seek God and have some understanding of what direction he should take. His conscience should be clear if he kicks her out, and if he decides to keep her, no one should question that choice.
God grant you wisdom, brother. Welcome home to your loving children!
It’s going to all be Knighted by the usual, “folks, give them space” (translation: No one hold her accountable, we will join them together in our comments, in order to shield HER from the actual questioning she deserves).
Kinda like when feminists use the whole wordSPEAK about abortion, “look, this is a tough, very tough, agonizing decision between a woman, her husband and doctor”. I’ve heard feminists actually say that sometimes using the word “family” instead of husband. This is to give this impression that there’s some kind of group meeting, general consensus about murdering the baby…when EVERY FEMINIST and everyone else KNOWS, MEN HAVE NO SAY in abortion, even while married.
So this woman will be paired with Saeed, and if she wants/needs to milk it more, they will re-appear like Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker, and we will hear about “the miraculous recovering and spiritual regrowth God has given us”, smiling, starting at each other while holding hands. It will be her signal to other women to kinda lay off, she made her allegation, it’s more strategic to let it go now, and she needs EVERYONE to play along with it.
There’s some gravy train ahead so I don’t exactly expect her to roll out yet. unless some “ugly” one-time lover (of recent) shows up,and he will be shot down anyhow, and she will be PUBLICLY forgiven for anything she’s done…funny, she won’t even ask for forgiveness, it will just arrive.
It is up in the air on this one. It is more dependent on his celebrity than anything else. If he is paraded around as some Christian hero she may claim her love and forgive him for looking at dirty pictures. Good chance she’ll take that route as Dalrock’s last post on the drama showed her star was fading. It would be cool if he comes out of this as some hard gangster dude. Chances are he may have become frail as an abused dog and she will sense it and shit all over the guy.
@greyghost
Chances are he may have become frail as an abused dog and she will sense it and shit all over the guy.
Given that the vast majority of media is visual, and given the statements about him not recognizing his own face from the beatings and his lack of medical care, I suspect that after photos of Saeed get published Nag-Me will be the one that gets shit on. All he has to do is keep his mouth shut and people will fill in the blanks from their own imaginations about what he’d been through. The “before and after” photos will come quick, it’s just too good a visual to pass on.
…and she will be PUBLICLY forgiven for anything she’s done…funny, she won’t even ask for forgiveness, it will just arrive….
Ok, Ok, I am beginning to understand why Bruce Jenner decided that he would rather be a woman than a world renowned male athlete. It’s making a lot of sense now [nods head up and down].
Oh SNAP! DELETE DELETE DELETE…..

1) How in Hades was he viewing pornography while in an Iran prison?
2) How in Hades did she know he was viewing pornography while in an Iran prison?
3) How in Hades would his viewing pornography–WHILE IN AN IRAN PRISON–be a form of abusing his 5,000 mile away wife?

Looks like you’re late to the party. let me get you up to speed.
It’s been found that the man, Saeed, indeed possesses supernatural powers, and is able to be at two or more places at the same time. Apparently, he exercised one of such powers while he was supposedly thousands of miles away from his wife, abusing the poor woman when he should have been comforting her and the kids. A bad person, that man Saeed. And a hypocrite at same time.
Hopefully this will be Churchianity’s “jump the shark” moment. They are not going to sweep this under the rug when more find out about how they were dumping on Saeed while he was in prison. This will show what phoney Christian’s many people are. You will know them by their works.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/for-three-americans-held-in-tehran-reason-for-travel-was-deeply-personal/2016/01/16/bc044322-bc72-11e5-829c-26ffb874a18d_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_kerry-812am%3Ahomepage%2Fstory
Washington post obviously knows nothing of Naghmeh’s betrayal. They too quote her remarks saying Saeed will have many issues, no doubt. But not a word of her betrayal and her ridiculous allegations of his “sexual abuse” from the Iranian prison. The press is going to cover her. This is unbelievable to me. How do they cover it? How in the world does she get away with this? After all this, she gets to scavenge “loyal wife” points even as she draws “abused wife” points. WTF? Am I high, or what?
Red Pill Latecomer, I do think that many look to celebrity women for clues as to “what should I be able to get away with it”. On the other hand, there are also some cautionary tales in the mix, about the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock, who end up childless.
Well, Sandra and Jennifer certainly had enough opportunity. Jenn must, if she regrets her dead womb, LOVE seeing Brad Pitt surrounded by his wife and many children, even if adopted. Angelina at least, still has her hot Hispanic body. Sandra and Jennifer at least, have their money and expensive cats to keep them warm at night. I believe they could not give a shit about children, good husbands or any of the other things that denote family, romance and late-life comfort. Their fame and money will suffice.
Doubt Jenn and Sandra care. They have money, expensive cats and fame to keep them company. As thy age utterly alone, they’ll gather attention and sympathy for their condition for look how brave they are, blazing new trails, utterly alone and childless.
Jenn and Sandra could not care less. They have money, fame and expensive cats to keep them company. Utterly alone and childless, they’re blazing new trails and doubtless will garner attention for their courage in rejecting such nonsense as a loving husband or children. Husbands and children to these shrews are a useless encumbrance. Pity the upper-class feminists send their attitude out to the women at the grass roots however, as it is at the grass roots that most women, bereft of the wealth of the upper-crust feminists, suffer the pangs and longing for children and a husband. It is these women that will realize they were snookered and should never have listened to the top-of-the-feminist food chain on such matters. There have doubtless been hundreds of millions of them from Gloria and MArlow right up to Jenn and Sandra Bullock, grass-roots women that heard the siren-call of feminism to their now-eternal sorrow.
Sad, huh?
@Jim Christian:
The WaPo’s writers probably no nothing of the allegations. Even though they have a “religion” reporter, I’d be surprised if she had a clue about it. While I have little qualms about raking media outlets over the coals, complete ignorance on the topic is the most likely answer.
As the Churchian Feminist World Turns
She knows that he will found out. She burned her bridges. Even if he forgives her there will be a long time before he trusts her completely. She knows this. Her strategy is now to greet him with love, then begin to be a bitch. After a few months of this she will claim that he has anger issues brought about the torture he suffered in jail. She will say that she loves him but is now impossible to live with him. Both of them are victims according to her. This process won’t take but about 6 months. Of course he will deny it and ask here where is this all coming from? But who will believe him?
@New Anon
This man thinks Nagmeh is telling the truth:
http://www.singlemind.net/?p=8805
I bet nag me can get this abusing bastard locked up in the Us of A.
Lock that abusing penis right up!
Penis!
Lock!
Probably been said several times, Ive been MIA so missed it ….perhaps she knew of his pending release and it helped the abuse accusation along. It could all fit, and to think she is unaware that there are those of us who can see this for what it is.
My gut assessment is that her feminarcissist freak-out was entirely genuine (her mincing, self-justifying rhetoric could never have been cued by a calculating bureaucrat), and that they will stay together nonetheless. I accept what was said above (can’t recall by whom at the moment) that should Saeed’s choose to remain married his decision should be respected, but I would find it a dreadful capitulation, in the absence of meaningful consequences, given his wife’s treasonous hysterics. It may be no right of ours to know the intra-marriage consequences of her actions, but if they don’t fall upon her, they will fall upon Saeed and perhaps their children. I hope that my respect for his sacrifice of his freedom will overshadow his embarrassment of having to love a woman such as she, and that he proves better than to become another pathetic teddy bear pastor in an era when civilization already suffers a dearth of masculine self-respect.
For her part, She has been given a choice to derive her power from rebellion, or from her famous and inspirational husband who will soon have what amounts to a blank check from his choice of book publisher. It’s not as clear cut as it used to be, there being so few consequences for rebellion with in the church, which appears to have nearly fully incorporated the Sisterhood. Sadly, the entire episode can be whitewashed in the eyes of most, even among those few who know if it, with the application of a little GospelSpeak. I think I know which side of the fence she’s going to come down on: the one with the greener grass.
I encourage anyone who hasn’t already to view the video of her reaction that was aired (on fox at least) recently. She was unmistakably, caught-red-handed, deer-in-headlights, spooked.
“empathologism says: ….perhaps she knew of his pending release and it helped the abuse accusation along.”
The more likely scenario (imho) is after the Obama/Iran agreement last year failed to address the hostages Iran held, she realized her husband might remain in prison indefinitely–1, 2, 5, 10, or even 20 years. At which point, she decided to start laying the groundwork to divorce her husband, so she could move on.
