Not quite back on topic but moving in that direction…
Yesterday Gersh Kuntzman with the New York Daily News wrote about his emotional reaction to firing an AR 15:
Squeeze lightly on the trigger and the resulting explosion of firepower is humbling and deafening (even with ear protection).
The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don’t know what you’re doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.
This display of journalistic pants wetting predictably lead to much fun being had at Kuntzman’s expense. Today Kuntzman came back for more, hilariously complaining about all of the emails he received calling him a girly man:
…the majority of email senders trained their laser sights on my masculinity — often in graphic terms that would sound more appropriate in a magazine about erectile dysfunction or an ad for Depends.
…Others sent me videos of 7-, 10- and 12-year old girls firing the same weapon I fired — except these kids were smiling.
For those who haven’t fired a semi automatic .223 rifle, I should point out that while the videos he received are no doubt examples of conservatives being enamored with girlpower, they aren’t feminist hyperbole. These rifles are in fact very polite to shoot, and a child can manage the recoil*. I first fired a .223 in grade school. It was my uncle’s varmint rifle, and I loved it because it was so easy to shoot. It had more kick than my Ruger 10/22, but was far more pleasant to shoot than any other rifle I had fired.
The funny thing is that after Kuntzman’s second piece I no longer think he made the whole thing up for propaganda effect. I now believe he was serious when he wrote that firing an AR 15 made him “irritable and jittery for hours”. While shooting a rifle made him weepy, getting made fun of on the internet made him too afraid to write articles about guns. Won’t some big strong man come and save him?
Besides, if masculinity is defined by the power to commit violence on a wide scale, I proudly choose femininity. At one time, “being a man” meant standing up for what you believe in — and against injustice. By that definition, we need more real men in power taking on bullies like the NRA, which seeks to bolster the Second Amendment by shutting down opponents’ right to the First. We can’t even debate guns in this country, thanks to the gun lobby.
Hat Tip Instapundit.
*The right age to take a child shooting, and what kind of rifle they should first shoot are questions beyond the scope of this post. However, I’m sure opinions on this will be shared in the discussion.
To paraphrase the Apostle Paul, I hope he just gets his junk chopped of, as it’s of little use to him anyway.
What a horrifically pathetic man. May he turn to the Lord because that’s the only thing in this universe that’s going to save him.

I was going to come up with some witty remark about his manhood, but I couldn’t see the screen on my laptop through the tears of laughter……
Has he considered testosterone
replacementtherapy?Wasn’t the quintessential faggot Milo Yiannopopopopopolis recently photographed firing an AR15?
(Milo being in fact a bit of a hero of mine lately. No disrespect intended to him)
Also, how hard is it to learn to keep the butt into you shoulder? Or does he just not have any muscle there?
He should have got a responsible adult to teach him and stuck some padding under his bra strap.
“*The right age to take a child shooting, and what kind of rifle they should first shoot are questions beyond the scope of this post. However, I’m sure opinions on this will be shared in the discussion.”
Well, if one is to teach their children how to “shoot with guns” I think it could reasonably start at age 15 and older.
Because I’m not “really into guns” as they would only be useful for “hunting” and “personal protection” as a Christian civilian; (I don’t even need a gun to protect myself most of the time or for hunting if I wanted to…) it would have to be a “common sense” approach.
I’m really not thinking it “jives right” to teach young “girls” how to shoot guns but with a father steadily and firmly teaching his able-bodied son how to shoot guns; I’m thinking it’s okay for young boys to learn how to shoot guns under the firm guidance and INSTRUCTION of their fathers; but not the place for young girls.
Young girls are best to be learning the ways of “homemaking” from their mothers in the kitchen, doing the laundry and washing the dishes in the traditional feminine gender roles.
Young boys are best to be learning after the ways of “providing and protecting” from their fathers and the ways of “manhood”; so a young boy learning how to shoot a gun early from his father I’m cool with as it’s more *NATURAL*. But for a daughter… no. Amen.
~ Sincerely,
Bro. Jed
His detractors are correct – AR-15 recoil is mild. Choose a manly piece like the FN-FAL which shoots 7.62×51 (.308 Winchester). More firepower, more recoil, and less likely your target will bother you by billing Obamacare afterwards.
“We can’t even debate guns in this country, thanks to the gun lobby.” Except on every newspaper, on every channel, by every person on half the political spectrum trying to take our attention away from terrorism. Except for that.
Ignorant liars going to lie.
As for masculinity, this person is subhuman. Femininity has far more grace and beauty than this thing. Celebrating that you are a pathetic wimp and emotionally unstable, shameful, and unmanly.
I’m from the Midwest and all girls learn to shoot guns. Which I appreciate now as an adult because my husband goes on business trips overnight sometimes and I’m alone with the kids, and thanks to the last two posts I now know police don’t have to protect me
@Jed Mask
Sir, I will have to respectfully disagree with you about the necessity for females to learn to shoot guns. Howevwe, this skill should be learned with a sober and serious attitude, not a feminist “you-go-tough-girl!” attitude.
It is the responsibility of husbands and fathers to protect their families. However, one’s husband is not always present. Sometimes he has to go to work. Sometimes a woman must go to the grocery store or other places without a male family member as escort. It is the responsibility of husbands and fathers to protect their own, but it is no other man’s responsibility to protect me. Not that I wouldn’t be grateful if he did, but the responsibility is not his. When I go out without my husband, I concealed-carry wherever I am legally allowed to do so. Not because I am some kick-ass feminist tough girl, but rather because it is my responsibility in this sick feminist society to protect myself and our children when I am out without my husband or father.
Ask Dalrock noted in his previous post, the police in the Orlando shooting situation were not exactly quick to respond to those in danger. Each man and woman should take responsibility for his or her own safety.
(Please forgive the typos in my comment above. I am commenting on my phone. )
Learning to shoot both handguns and long guns is something both boys and girls in America should learn. Especially girls, since a firearm is an excellent defense weapon in case of home invasion while all the menfolk are out working elsewhere, Bro. Jed.
Kuntzman should shut his trap, if firing an AR 15 gives him PTSD then handling a Mosin Nagant would probably kill him. As a member of the feminine sex, I can testify that we don’t want any shrieking eunuchs like him hiding behind our skirts.
…the majority of email senders trained their laser sights on my masculinity —
You mean the complete lack thereof, sweetie.
“Laser sights?” I’ll bet those, even figurative ones, made you soil your pants too.
Mere words fail here. “Pitiful,” “pathetic,” and “hopeless” don’t even come close.
Dear Vladimir,
Are you reading this stuff. You will not need to soften the beaches. They’re soft , and we’re toast.

Works as long as some actual men are willing to protect your right to be a pussy.
the NRA, which seeks to bolster the Second Amendment by shutting down opponents’ right to the First. We can’t even debate guns in this country, thanks to the gun lobby.
Yeah that must be why Leftards don’t scream for gun control every time there is a shooting, because the NRA shut them down.
A journalist who wrote an anti-gun article complains his First Amendment rights have been shut down – LMAO, talk about self-refuting.
Bruised by a .223? Are his arms made of wet spaghetti? Did backstop the butt with his face?
Not really understanding all the scare quotes from Jed Mask.
I’m really not thinking it “jives right” to teach young “girls” how to shoot guns
You put girls in quotes because you are referring to girls who are actually boys or something?
That aside, you better believe my daughter will be taught to shoot no later than age 10.
@pancakeloach:
“As a member of the feminine sex, I can testify that we don’t want any shrieking eunuchs like him hiding behind our skirts.”
I think you win this thread. I’m still chuckling about this line 5 minutes later.
@Jed Mask & on topic
In my state it’s legal to hunt big game at 12. I did it at 12, and so did my boy. To do so you need to have spent some time shooting guns much larger than an AR15. I’ve never heard of a 12 year-old hurting themselves or others.
The AR15 is designed to have as little kick as possible in a gun that can kill a person. Soldiers wouldn’t have a hard time shooting a modern hunting rifle all date for several days. Their shoulders would get bruised after the first day. They have about 25 grains of powder and a 55 or so grain round. A smaller hunting rifle, such as a 270 has about 65 to 70 grains of powder and a 150 grains round. So 12 year-olds can handle guns that are 6 to 7 times as powerful.
When the army first issued M16s to soldiers, they hated them. One vet told me, “it felt like I was firing a toy gun.”
I call bullshit.
In boot camp, my drill sergeant demonstrated the kick of a .223 by putting the butt of his M-16 against his crotch and letting off a few rounds. Then he had us do the same thing.
So… my balls are tougher than this journalist’s shoulder. What a wimp.
Keep Kuntzman away from a 12 gauge, that would probably kill him with the recoil.
D-
From my first read of the original article, it never occurred to me that this was cynical propaganda piece. It seems to me that these kinds of articles are written by people who, at the very least believe that this is what they are supposed to say, and probably actually experience what they are describing
That is to say, they have never fired a weapon of any kind and so having no frame of reference the slight bump you feel on your shoulder from an AR platform rifle should be quite harrowing.
It is also a function of low insight. In therapy, we often ask patients to rate their internal discomfort on a scale of 1-10, sometimes called “SUDS” (Subjective Units of Distress). Patients who have a very low internal locus of control and poor coping mechanisms often rate everything as a “10.” This is because they have never been asked to introspectively rate and perceive the difference between a 3 and 5 for example. The writer here is doing something similar. In fact, he was primed to experience this at first sight of the weapon.
The article also appears to be an attempt to say “anyone who enjoys this sensation must be a violent psychopath.” This is also part of the now defunct narrative that anyone to the right of Oliver Stone is crazy, paranoid and stupid.
Finally, there is no such thing as “temporary PTSD.” I have spent an entire career trying to “guard” the diagnoses in that spectrum from this kind of nonsense, because the credibility of the profession and the term itself is at stake. There are those who actually have PTSD from real trauma and are entitled to our compassion.
When Leftists complain they can’t have a debate about a subject, in this case guns, what they mean is they aren’t able to set the terms of the debate leading to weak opponents who are just negotiating the articles of surrender.
There are really guys like this? How many are there? Is this why women are taking control?
I may have underestimated the scope of the problem.
Besides, if masculinity is defined by the power to commit violence on a wide scale, I proudly choose femininity.
Okay, fine, but femininity is now defined as women being able to commit violence on a wide scale through things like divorce, physical fitness testing, and ultimate fighting girl power, all in order to be masculine,
“I now believe he was serious when he wrote that firing an AR 15 made him “irritable and jittery for hours”.”
One proposed reason psychology has for liberals not liking guns is inappropriate emotional responses to violence–they have either a near-phobia or near-fetish depending on the study. Liberals are also prone to projection which together helps explain the hatred/fear they direct at law-abiding (the most visible) gun owners. They assume we’re as emotionally twisted as they are and our resistance to Big Brother oversight confirms their paranoia. That doesn’t excuse leftism but if a man realizes he’s mentally unfit to handle weapons then there’s no shame in avoiding them. Just be appreciative when other men are violent to your benefit.
@Looking Glass, thank you kindly.
I laughed out loud at God is Laughing’s “Did he backstop the butt with his face?” comment, myself.
The funnest gun ever is an AR with a suppressor. Extreme accuracy, mild recoil, and not so loud.
Pingback: Shooting an AR 15 made him emotional, and then the internet was mean to him. | Reaction Times
Kevin,
Your points are valid, but I seriously doubt he is as open on discussion on many issues as he wants to be on guns. He wants guns to be controlled, so any conversation will naturally lead to that in his mind.
I would ask him if he is open to a discussion on whether others can come and beat him senseless. I suspect he would not be open to that as he would find the argument ludicrous. He desperately needs to understand that talking about restraining guns is equally foolish, even though he worships things like that.
Well, his last name IS Kuntzman. In all seriousness, he is never going to get laid again if he keeps writing things like that.
The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.
Geez. It’s tempting to believe that this was satire. I mean, even me, all 5’4″ 105-110 lbs of me, can handle a gun. I’ve shot a 9mm S&W military/police full-size pistol during a concealed carry class not long ago, and I handled it just fine, even though I was very nervous from having never shot a gun before (apart from water guns, of course). I also got clobbered with like a dozen casings in a row from two shooters in line right ahead of me, and just laughed it off like “what the heck! :-P.”
Compare my size and that gun with the average size of a grown man with the gun he shot, and he *really* shouldn’t have reacted the way he did, even apart from him being a man and me being a woman. If scrawny little me could handle *that* gun, then a grown man should be able to handle a gun that even kids can easily shoot. It only makes him look even more wussy than first glance would suggest, especially since I’m a pretty big wuss myself.
The right age for a child to learn how to shoot is anywhere between 5 and 10; parents know at what age their children can handle things, but going past 10 means you’re sheltering and helicoptering. The right gun is obviously the Ruger 10/22; if you insist on being wrong, another .22 can be used.
We have guns in the house- therefore our kids know how to shoot. My 16-year-old daughter hasn’t learned to love large caliber guns but she’s proficient. The idea of a grown man claiming temporary PTSD from shooting an AR15 is cringeworthy. But it gives a lot of insight into the mind of the anti-gun crowd.
sorry, a 223 “hurts”? seriously? Pussy…. even an AR-10 (308) doesn’t “hurt”….
Pussies….
now go for a 338 lapua …. give that a whirl….
Oy….
>>>”Not quite back on topic but moving in that direction”
Dalrock, this IS on topic. Masculinity is under attack by the forces of Satan and your type of salt is the only thing keeping the meat from being trampled.
>>>>”Young girls are best to be learning the ways of “homemaking” from their mothers in the kitchen, doing the laundry and washing the dishes in the traditional feminine gender roles.”
Please. God made man and woman but Col. Colt made them equal. Any daughter of mine will have been to the range with me several times by age 15 and by age 18 she will hopefully have her CWP. She can shoot after the dishes are done.
>>>>>There are really guys like this? How many are there? Is this why women are taking control?
Yes. A lot though they need White Knights to reach a majority. Yes.
Good, hard LOL when I first read it, especially as someone who carries a handgun every day and owns a .300 Win Mag rifle (can’t wait until I can get my hands on a .50 BMG). And “the smell!” That was probably my favorite part. Good heavens, you wuss! Bacon perfumes itself with Eau d’Cordite!
“At one time, “being a man” meant standing up for what you believe in — and against injustice.”
If Kuntzboy can’t handle even firing a .223 without literally suffering physical and mental trauma, what exactly does he think ‘standing up’ to injustice entails? He thinks writing or saying words is an action. He hasn’t done anything, and he never will. He wouldn’t be able to defend himself or his family and friends against a couple of mean kids, let alone any real “injustice”.
” We can’t even debate guns in this country, thanks to the gun lobby.”
What he really means is he can’t talk about it unopposed. He said his piece, and then got scared when the other side answered. It’s not a “debate” if you don’t want to hear what the other side has to say, dipshit.
May his chains rest lightly upon him, and posterity forget that he is our countryman.
Seriously? Is the writer exaggerating for effect, or is he really that much of a priss? Am I reading the numbers right? Is a .225 about the same as a .22? That many kids used for target practice at nine or ten years old on a camping trip? (Funny that as ‘green’ as society wants to be, they spend a whole lot less time camping now) What would the poor dear be doing if he’d handled a 44 magnum?
Pingback: Lurking danger and fear-induced political manipulation | The Sunshine Thiry Blog
p.s. My opinion (a west coast suburb dweller) on when kids should learn to fire a gun…
I’d say eight or nine is a safe age for them to shoot a rifle, if your kids are well disciplined. If they have really poor impulse control and can’t slow themselves down and focus, then you need to get them there first. A child needs to be able to respect what even a small gun can do if they’re careless and unaware of their surroundings before they are allowed to handle one.
The most recoil I’ve ever felt from shooting a gun was firing The Judge by Taurus. THAT was the perfect gun for home defense let me tell you.
I’m betting that some scalliwag handed him an AR-10 in 762×51, and told him it was an AR-15.
This journalist personifies Generation Snowflake. I did not read any satire in his remarks. He is an unadulterated pussy and doubling down on it.
We’re doomed.
I should have looked at his photo first. Definitely too old for GS, but channeling it perfectly.
He was holding the gun in the wrong direction. The small part of the muzzle is supposed to be pointing towards the target. Not at one’s shoulder.
Seriously? Is this the same AR-15 I fired on a rifle range in Hawaii when I was there? They were chosen as a cartridge because it was a lighter easier to shoot bullet that didn’t kick much. It also had the advantage of wounding rather the enemy rather than killing him outright, thus tying up enemy resources.
I call bullshit on this one. He would have made it up.
post post script… the link to the ‘Ask Kuntzman’ piece of satire gave me weekly allowance of laughter. Thank you. It kind of reminds me of the early internet days, where a couple folks created a website dedicated to informing people of the dangers of di-hydro oxide. Like for example, that it can suffocate you, affect your hearing, obscure vision, etc.. There were actually city councils moving full forward to ban H2O before someone pointed out the joke out to them.
One has to wonder if equal overexaggeration a la ‘Ask Kuntzman’ would wake sheeple up or not. If demonizing hybrids, cats, yoga, expensive coffee and similar passions of urbanites might wake them up to the fraud they’re falling for… or if they’d just be duped into locking themselves indoors and never coming out because we’d just add to the list of the things they’re terrified of. Either way, seems like a win for society. So hopefully we can do some more turning on the ear of all this absurd propaganda. Some one order some more ‘Ask Kuntzman’ columns.
Women react the opposite way.
On some of my action/thriller/horror DVDs, in the Special Features docus on the “making of” the movie, I’ve seen these petite actresses give interviews about training for the film. They say things like “Yah! I felt really kick-ass shooting a gun for the first time. My character is really strong and empowered. She’s a real real bad-ass. She doesn’t bake cookies. She’s like, pow, bam, pow!”
Our media promotes emasculation for men, and grrl power for women.
Kuntzman
How appropriate. His name itself indicates his eunuch nature. He is a ‘man with a kunt’, so ‘Kuntzman’.
By that definition, we need more real men in power taking on bullies like the NRA,
Yeah, take on the opponent who will not harm you in return, while never uttering a peep about Islam.
Besides, if masculinity is defined by the power to commit violence on a wide scale, I proudly choose femininity.
Once you go full eunuch, there is no going back.
So the leftists have effectively told the Muslims what is the best way to conduct a terrorist attack in a manner that avoids scrutiny.
1) Use a gun. No bombs. Gun use = media attacks NRA.
2) Shoot up a nightclub. Easy targets and no police response.
3) Induce the SJWs to do double-duty of insisting that terrorism has nothing to do with Islam…
Done. Rinse and repeat.
The initial reports of the gun being an AR-15 are wrong. The gun was a Sig Sauer MCX. That does not really change the story much though.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2016/06/14/the-gun-the-orlando-shooter-used-was-not-an-ar-15-that-doesnt-change-much/
What Kuntzman wants is his own Gestapa Officer with a death-ray to eliminate his personal/political opponents on his behalf, sanctioned by the State his is petitioning.
Because he wrongfully wishes to impose his personal will against the majority of his countrymen.
I’ve seen cunts like this before, they walk in lockstep, the passive aggressive nanny State seekers.
He’d have fit right into WW II Germany of Russia real well, like his Marxist Sistahs.
Make no mistake,he IS dangerous.

It’s called “agency,” something I’ve been at you to understand before.
It’s even MORE important to understand this because it is women teaching men this female passive aggressive nanny State seeking victimhood.

The man is a complete pussy. The recoil on that rifle would barely make a ripple on a petite, but pleasantly contoured, females tush.
My father started me wi h gun safety at the age of 3, bolt action 22 at 5 and 12 gauges at 7. (To be fair, the 12 gauge almost put me on my ass, but that was part of the fun of learning to shoot)
pdwalker: The man is a complete pussy. The recoil on that rifle would barely make a ripple on a petite, but pleasantly contoured, females tush.
It’s possible that Kuntzman wasn’t at all bothered by shooting a gun. Rather, the article is just some virtue signaling. He’s telling his liberal readers, “Look at me! See what a nice, sensitive, compassionate, New Age Man I am. I’m so progressive and good, I actually feel physically ill upon shooting a gun. Can you beat that?”
IOW, whereas in past cultures, men bragged about their bravado and physical prowess, in today’s progressive culture, men brag about their fragility and tears. In both instances, the bragging isn’t always truthful.
>It’s possible that Kuntzman wasn’t at all bothered by shooting a gun. Rather, the article is just some virtue signaling. He’s telling his liberal readers, “Look at me! Ugh. Now I can’t decide which is worse, the guy that really can’t hack so little a thing – or the guy that can unashamedly do what you’ve described.
That guy has made being a pussy as an extreme form of virtue in his circles. That was pure status seeking for the tribe he chose to belong to.
This is most likely the case with this guy. (at least that is what I’m hoping ,my God his mother and father must truly be ill )
Can you imagine being the wife or a child of this guy and have the lights go out with reports of looting and rioting.
@pancackloach
A fellow Mosin Nagant owner? I love that MBR.
@jedmask
This is why I think women should learn how to use a gun, it is the great equalizer.
@Jed
Historically speaking, firearms proficiency fits much better into the category of “traditional feminine gender roles” than running a dishwasher or a washing machine does.
(I think Jed is a troll)
If he’s smelling sulfur, it’s probably because he passed gas. Modern smokeless powders do not use it. Perhaps it was the very brimstone vapors of hell, he whiffed. With each pull of the trigger, the gates of hell opened for a second; nah, they don’t believe in hell.
What a puss..These are the guys that grew up indoors, never got in a schoolyard fight, never played any sports, they might as well be women, for these men, the room their little wee-wees take up is a waste of real estate. That’s all. They’re the ones that get whiny and challenge you out on the street until you go toe-to-toe and then they get all apologetic after looking around for help. The West is full of them and THEY will be first-targeted when the Muslims command (That day is coming). Europe is our preview. But OUR enemies for now aren’t terrorists, the feminists, gays and trannies and ruling class are our enemies. Hell, I can always turn into a Muslim, but I’ll never defend feminism, the gays and the rest. Those people hate my type, embrace and defend those Muslims that are now coming specifically to kill them, and they are as a group, irredeemable, as the guy says at SBPDL. Defend a feminist culture with MY life? Never again.
This is my country, completely stolen from me in 50 years. I don’t worry about any of it anymore. Take care of your own, watch the decline, gents. These perverts and freaks aren’t worth arguing in defense of. It’s a culture not worth saving. And we can’t reverse any of it in any case.
In the 1980s The New York Times Sunday Magazine introduced a column called “About Men.” Every week a different male guest columnist wrote about “men’s issues.”
Always, the men discussed their fears and weaknesses, their tears and sensitivities. Always, they’d allude to ways in which women were superior to men. “Women, I think, are better at coping with their feelings in circumstances such as … yada, yada …”
Every column had the same tone of disingenuous self-deprecation. The men would beat up on themselves, but in a humblebrag sort of way. See how sensitive I am. I’m more of a woman than you. More of a woman even than some women.
The “About Men” column raised (or lowered?) male self-abasement to a whole new level.
Even so, women were jealous. They complained. And The New York Times responded. They turned the “About Men” column from a weekly to a biweekly, alternating it with a new women’s column called “Hers.”
I haven’t read The Times in many years, so I don’t know if they’re still publishing “About Men” and “Hers.”
I’ve never fired an AR-15 myself personally. However, I have fired weapons much more powerful, and definitely a lot louder. The .458 and .460 Weatherby comes to mind, along with the .50 Desert Eagle…..and that was in a handgun form, and my hands aren’t tree trunks, so yeah that hurt just a bit.
But you know what didn’t happen from firing these weapons? I didn’t automatically lose my balls and stick and instantly grow a sand filled vagina between my legs. I did not experience overwhelming mental incapacitation to the point of having to retreat to a pink pony filled safe space. I also did not look at these weapons like they had 10 heads and 20 horns. I looked at them like DAYUM……RESPECT!!!!!!! This is the difference between a man who is not a pathetic pansy right out the gate…..and a man that should have went ahead and have a sex change operation before he even pulled the trigger.
@They Call Me Tom
The two rounds have a comparable caliber (bullet diameter), but they are very different. A .223 is pushed by far more powder and has a heavier standard projectile (55 grain vs 40 grain). Here is a picture showing the two side by side for reference. The .22LR is still the gold standard for introducing young people to proper safety and marksmanship skills. The .223 is louder and has a more noticeable recoil, but it is nothing like what Kuntzman describes.
Off-topic: there is an interesting biblical soap opera about Moses life i watch here in Brazil that i find interesting how they frame the good and bad people in regards to marriage relations: Basically, the good men and women are (or appears to be)complementarians while the (bad) wifes of the bad guys are obedient and often claims it is their obligation to do so while questioned, while a good wife with a bad husband will nags them that they are making bad choices, etc.
There is an interesting dialogue between Moses wife and his sister (who was being punished by God), that his sister didn’t accept female submission to their husbands(she was the sole exception of a rebellous wife with a good husband), and Moses wife explained that female submission is not really female submission, but complementarianism (not exactly in this words).
Sorry for the bad wording, but i find all this stuff subversive. But it also makes me wonder when(or if) should a wife disobey her husband.
In all seriousness, he is never going to get laid again if he keeps writing things like that.
Probably not high on his list of priorities. I get the distinct feeling that getting laid would be too physically painful and uncomfortable for this … “person” (the word “guy” just doesn’t fit here).
Dear Vladimir,
Are you reading this stuff. You will not need to soften the beaches. They’re soft , and we’re toast.
I really have a difficult time imagining that Vlad would even want to invade. I think he’s just gonna sit back and watch us destroy ourselves. He won’t even have to wait very long either.
God Bless the women who died defending Stalingrad.
Imagine how they would have reacted to a sniveling, cowardly, pathetic little eunuch like Cunts-“man.”
I was planning to put a few rounds through my M-1 Garand, but according to Ms. Kuntzman I better stock up on Depends before I go to the range.
One more prime example of how the definition of masculinity has been deliberately confused and opened to subjective interpretations by the Feminine Imperative. Masculinity is whatever best serves the FI. For generations now “masculinity” has been intentionally obfuscated to the point that men define it for themselves as whatever fluidly benefits the FI.

Man Up or Shut Up – The Male Catch 22
One of the primary way’s Honor is used against men is in the feminized perpetuation of traditionally masculine expectations when it’s convenient, while simultaneously expecting egalitarian gender parity when it’s convenient.
For the past 60 years feminization has built in the perfect Catch 22 social convention for anything masculine; The expectation to assume the responsibilities of being a man (Man Up) while at the same time denigrating asserting masculinity as a positive (Shut Up). What ever aspect of maleness that serves the feminine purpose is a man’s masculine responsibility, yet any aspect that disagrees with feminine primacy is labeled Patriarchy and Misogyny.
Essentially, this convention keeps beta males in a perpetual state of chasing their own tails. Over the course of a lifetime they’re conditioned to believe that they’re cursed with masculinity (Patriarchy) yet are still responsible to ‘Man Up’ when it suits a feminine imperative. So it’s therefore unsurprising to see that half the men in western society believe women dominate the world (male powerlessness) while at the same time women complain of a lingering Patriarchy (female powerlessness) or at least sentiments of it. This is the Catch 22 writ large. The guy who does in fact Man Up is a chauvinist, misogynist, patriarch, but he still needs to man up when it’s convenient to meet the needs of a female imperative.
Well, I remember Chuck Norris saying once –
“I was once a man trapped in a woman’s body….but then I was born.”
“At one time, “being a man” meant standing up for what you believe in — and against injustice.”
It never changed. We ARE standing up for what we believe in, and against injustice. Let me spell it out for you. We believe in: the right to self defense, guns (the means of our self defense), and legitimate masculinity (an essential component of any long-standing society that would allow both self defense and guns).
You just don’t like that others believe in something different than you. Welcome to planet Earth.
Someone needs to get a war veteran who has been injured and suffered real PTSD and get that man to go down and stuff this fruitcake’s face into the ground and tell him he has no right to claim such a suffering for merely firing a gun kids can use. Kids fire and kill with AK47s all the time and they do not squeal like this douchbag. Take him by the scruff of his neck, smear his face in the dirt until he suffocates on his own PTSD induced vomit.
Keep your guns, buy more ammo and tell these whack jobs to fuck off.
Yeah, I reposted one of those photos showing a 7-year old girl shooting an AR-15. Wasn’t because of grrrrl-power, but rather to point out that the little girl was apparently higher-T than Kuntzman is.
Mockery is exactly the right response to anyone who agrees with these whackos. Guns are your only defense against criminals and government. Yeah, I know, one and the same, still, the guns stay. You know why, liberals? Cause Fuck You, that’s why!
Lol lol lol! When I was ten a family friend handed me a twelve gauge and it knocked me on my ass. God are progs pathetic weaklings.
On girls learning to shoot guns…
In a better age, that would have been a good thing. But now :
ISIS actively recruiting teenage American girls for marriage, terrorist attacks.
So WE train them to use guns, and then ISIS recruits them.
Sort of like the 911 service discussion on the previous thread. The 911 emergency service used to be the primary way in which the top few countries were better places to live than most of the rest of the world. But now, 911 is mainly a tool of VAWA, and subjects men to horrors that don’t exist outside of the US and a few similar countries.
Turning treasure into toxins is the specialty of ‘feminism’ in particular, and leftists in general (cuckservatives being leftists on the matter of female primacy)..
Now you all know what Red Pill reporters in blue states like myself (who also writes about Second Amendment issues on the side) have to endure. Right after the Newtown shooting I was working for MSN News when the gun grabbing rhetoric was at its zenith. Fortunately I’m in better (reporting) circumstances now but there were times I almost couldn’t contain my opinion in front of others reporters like this special little snowlake.
The funny thing is, no matter how hard he tries, he cannot be feminine. He can only be a shriveled up, whiny version of a man.
Everyone knows when a girl becomes a women, nobody knows when a boy becomes a man. Modern rights of passage have failed young men.
LAWL! These Social Justice Weasels see themselves as a Martin Luther King in their own mind but at the first sign of a firehose, they cower and scream, “NO! I might get wet! Stop it you meanies!!!”. LOL!!!
Re: CCTV: Mugging Gone Wrong
Calling it a fake, but I agree with the narrative.
Mike you are correct. Our society NEEDS a real rite of passage for boys.

No problem. When a man goes on a shooting spree, there’s 100 dead bodies in a nightclub. When a woman goes on a shooting spree, there’s Gersh Kuntzman.
But you bring up a good point. Girls today should be raised exclusively feminine in order to resist all the whispers & bad examples and firearms are definitely boy toys. Can a wife say anything less sexy than “I don’t need your protection”?
…
The Question @ 5:10 pm:
“Now you all know what Red Pill reporters in blue states like myself have to endure.”
Wow. Seriously, you must have the patience of Job. I would have gone insane, poisoned the breakroom coffee and read the next day’s paper to see if they’re looking for a ‘gunman’, “Police are still searching for the suspect, a white male coffeeman, believed to be armed with an 8oz-caliber assault weapon… trigger warning, coffeeman only refers to the beverage coffee…”
…
mike @ 6:02 pm:
“nobody knows when a boy becomes a man.”
When he becomes independent of his parents. This is why the insult “man-boy” is often paired with “living in Mommy’s basement”. No need for a rite of passage, just earn the food you eat.
More material for Dalrock :
Lest any of you thought that Bill Maher was against ‘feminism’, back in, say, 1995, think again.
Virtually every feminist myth is contained in this brief clip…
He is against feminism. He was just being…. nice to her. Bill Maher is the proto-typical MGTOW.
“It’s possible that Kuntzman wasn’t at all bothered by shooting a gun.”
It is possible, but it is also true that “men” like him can nearly shit themselves from the mere sight of a neon pink, translucent plastic water pistol.
In an active shooter situation they crouch to the ground, quiver and literally wait their turn to be shot.
I have come to appreciate Dalrock’s style of writing even more these days. It is gentle, yet brutal. He writes like a skilled surgeon gently performing orhiectomy on an unfortunate guy who doesn’t know what to do with his testosterone factories. Though it appears painless and quick, the procedure removes the last vestige of masculinity from the subject. Permanently.
The short piece above removed every prop that Kuntzman could ever try to lean on in defending his girly piece, and gently exposed him for what he really was: a ball-less non-man. All this was done without any table thumping, or shouting to disturb the neighbors.
Thank you, Dalrock for a good laugh.

That’s ridiculous. My wife has a CCW and a 1911, not because she doesn’t NEED my protection, but because I CAN’T protect her when I’m not physically present.
She took her CCW class and bought the 1911 when I was in Afghanistan. What do you think my response time would’ve been? I’m not longer on active duty, and have a 15 minute commute to work, but a lot can happen in 15 minutes.
My kids also know how to shoot, because when my wife is running errands, I’m at work and the kids are home (my oldest are 16), it’s up to the kids (and our giant [literally] dog) to defend themselves if an intruder attempts to invade our home.
Self defense is part of individual responsibility, which is neither a masculine nor feminine trait. Individual responsibility is an adult trait.
As for Mr. Kuntzman, if photos and video of little girls shooting ARs huwts his witow feewings, maybe this’ll help.

Thank you Oscar.
This also applies to when a woman is out running errands with her husband not being present, especially if the kids are with her, like Sunshine said. Or to women like myself who are still unmarried and don’t have their father around.
Just came across an article in my feed from yesterday where someone is trying to make AR 15’s look really bad. I don’t know how accurate the info she writes is, but thought a few of you might be interested to read it.
http://www.wired.com/2016/06/ar-15-can-human-body/
OT: http://alphagameplan.blogspot.com.es/2016/06/alpha-mail-sick-and-insane-society.html?m=1
But the idiots over there seem to have missed this ‘(where the dating potential might be limited)’, also paragraph 4.
In an active shooter situation they crouch to the ground, quiver and literally wait their turn to be shot.
The weak animal instinctively knows when to submit to the stronger. The pozzie narrative is just rhetorical word-dressing slathered on top.
I find it exceptionally insulting that Kuntzman would equate being a pussy little beta boy who is afraid of an AR-15 with femininity. When I read that, I really wanted to kick his ass.
“We can’t even debate guns in this country, thanks to the gun lobby.”
This is a common fallacy of the left. The only reason why people disagree with them on anything is because those evil conservative institutions trick people by playing on their fears. That’s why they assert a proper “education” will set confused people straight. Otherwise, those who don’t conform to the leftist view are too filled with hate to understand “the truth”. It’s inconceivable to liberals that someone can come to a conservative worldview because of an observation of objective reality.
LeeLee — “(I think Jed is a troll)”
He’s not a troll, he’s just young, and inclines towards Scriptural and socio-cultural conservation. Bible doesn’t address the issue directly, but Jed does well to express caution concerning females and firearms. How did giving females power via the vote work out? :O)
Unfortunately the nation has rottened fast, and the police are alternately unwilling or unable to protect the (relatively) weak — mostly unable, in my experience anyway. Time they get there, the violence is usually over.
Outside the Bubble Areas, the nation has gone feral the past few decades, and some populations are now vulnerable — weak or old males typically more vulnerable than females. But females also. America has become a dangerous place, and many ‘citizens’ respond to nothing except fear and force.
Jed’s is ok, he loves the name of Jeshua, takes joy reading Scripture, and is a positive contributor. Anyway, that’s way ahead of where I was at his age, whatever that is. Jed isn’t the Bad Guy because he’s not eager to provide women with guns.
*shakes head*
This idiot has to be one of the most pathetic bitch boys I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Unbelievable.
Everyone is missing the point. The point is that your opponents are complete pussies. Their women are probably extremely sexually frustrated and bored.
Im not sure how much easier you need this to be.
And somehow these meteros have convinced women they are alphas.

On the practical level, you’re right. There’s no rational problem with a belly gun in the purse. On the emotional/sexual level, violent self-defense is 100% masculine. Our society does EVERYTHING it can to convince women they can look after themselves, or at least they should be able to “just in case”. Your argument is the exact same argument women use for attending college and starting careers before getting married. It’s always “just in case” her husband is “temporarily unable” to support her. Such backup plans are prudent for a man but we’ve seen what happens to wives with contingency husband replacements ready to go. I bet this is the primary reason women were locked out of the working world: having to depend upon her husband made respecting and trusting him easier. What logically appeared to be an unwise, unfair decision was one of traditional family’s strongest supports.
Men say “I love you”, women say “I need you”. I would train my theoretical daughters to rely on men over weapons because that leads directly to appreciating men. You’re prey in this world, darling, so act like it.
@ Gunner Q
It’s not just a modern thing for women to be able to use guns. Even during Pioneer times, women learned how to shoot shotguns.

Therein lies the rub. My five daughters are not theoretical. How you would train your theoretical daughters is of no consequence to anyone. How I train my five daughters and four sons is of great consequence to many.
Raising girls to be helpless is not the answer, nor is it wise. After all, how can a helpless woman be a helpmate to anyone?
@Kevin
For Kuntman, free speech is when only his views are heard. If anyone puts forward opposing views, then that’s censorship.
It’s a vagueness attack.
Completely off topic: Wanted to pop on and wish Dalrock author and all the rest of the fathers here a happy day. It’s a rough day for many. May the peace of whatever god or gods you worship descend upon you, and may cigars and fine single malt scotch come to you. Peace and love from your surrogate son by proxy.
Regards, Boxer.
Thank you boxer. It’s been a good day for me. Wife took me to breakfast and I just got the pool nice and clean. Been playing Mario Kart with the daughter and so far, it’s been a real nice day.
Oscar
She cannot. My first two fiancés and virtually every girlfriend I’ve ever had with the exception of three (including the one I married) were completely helpless women. Thus, after a thorough vetting….. I did not marry any of them.
As already pointed out there’s a lot about this unfortunate incident that doesn’t add up. Like 9/11 and most if not all other tragic events in American history. If one word can sum up American culture it is “media”. Having no longstanding or ancient history or ancient culture to speak of, advertisers and spin doctors created one and sold it to us. When people ask me what to read to get a solid idea of American values, ideals and culture, I tell them don’t read anything, just watch Mad Men. It perfectly sums up how this culture was created, where (Madison Avenue) and by whom (ad men).
Brad Wilcucks is at it again :
The divorce revolution has bred an army of woman-haters.
While he grudgingly concedes that some laws might be slightly unfair to men, there is proud use of the terms ‘misogynists’ and ‘Peter Pans’.
More importantly, what stands out is what he does not say.
He does not think women should have any accountability at all, nor is it even possible for a woman to be the morally weaker party.
There is similarly no concept of Marriage 1.0 vs. Marriage 2.0. The M-word is all it takes for him to be utterly and totally duped.
Just read that article Anon. Brad was actually MORE FAIR to the MGTOW than most other writers have been. I was actually impressed that he grudgingly acknowledged the danger and he didn’t go and pull a Tucker Carlson and say…. “So what?!?!” after the fact. I’ll bet he’s probably pretty butt-hurt right now by so many comments and having his words thrown right back into his face with simple logic. Red pills really taste extremely sour and go down really hard to logical thinking blue pill men like Brad.
IBB,
Yes, there is some chance that he might be slightly fair on the margins. At the same time, his paycheck probably precludes saying much that deviates from the ‘weak men are screwing marriage up’ narrative..
and go down really hard to logical thinking blue pill men like Brad.
Doesn’t remaining blue-pill require a willingness to avoid logic? Logic makes red-pill conclusions inevitable.
This says more about journalists as people and the insular culture that profession has spawned than anything. Think about this the next time you read anything in a newspaper.
1) Feminist unhappy that her child is a boy.
2) Feminist not sad about child that was eaten by an alligator since the father was white.
If shooting guns is deafening, then silencers on guns ought to be mandatory.
Fundamentalism.
It is fundamental for blue pill men to accept the following bedrock principle: women have all the rights and no responsibilities, men have all the responsibilities and very few rights. That’s it. That is blue pill fundamentalism. So when you think about it in that context, it is perfectly logical to say that men need to work hard (harder than women) and provide for women, oh and by the way, she can welsh on the relationship at any moment for any (or no) reason and you must continue to provide for her because… you are a man. That is blue pill fundamentalism. Where Brad differs from the bluest of blue pill men (Tucker Carlson) is that Tucker will “…shut the hell up…” about it while Brad will at least acknowledge that the system is somewhat broken and men are making logical decisions to “opt out” of the system.
Where Brad differs from the bluest of blue pill men (Tucker Carlson) is that Tucker will “…shut the hell up…” about it while Brad will at least acknowledge
Ok, so on a scale of 1-10, Brad is about a 3 and Tucker the Buttf****r is a 1.
Brad recognizes that some men are opting out due to risk, but can’t help but dismiss them as ‘Peter Pans’. He is nowhere near saying that women have any responsibility at all (as you say, blue pill).
Tucker Carlson said ‘who cares’ even *after* he himself was falsely accused of rape. If a false rape accusation cannot wake a man up, nothing can..
Off topic, but it just wouldn’t be Father’s Day without a major newspaper using the opportunity to denigrate fathers rather than celebrate them:
http://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-jagger-rolling-stones-fathers-day-20160613-snap-story.html
I was flying home today and saw part of the LA Times lying on the floor in the aisle. Picked it up, shoved it into my seat back pocket, and perused it later during the flight, where I came across the above op ed piece.
I wish I left it on the floor to be trampled.

When she says that a .223 has much more energy than a 9mm, she is right. In general, rifles generate far more energy than handguns. Ironically, this is something shooters have pointed out for decades when the anti gun folks were obsessed with handguns. But what she leaves out is the fact that as far as rifles go, the .223 is very much on the small side. In fact, she makes it sound like a .223 is the most deadly caliber ever; it isn’t. Google “.223 for deer?” and you will find pages of links to articles trying to determine if the .223 is big enough to humanely hunt deer. If you read the articles, you will find that there is endless debate about the relative merits of one caliber or another when it comes to cleanly taking big game or stopping a violent assailant.
According to Vox, a grenade launcher is a standard civilian after market modification–

Only religious Americans and gays are holding tight to this archaic idea of “legal marriage”. Most of us below 50 are charting alternative methods of coupling.
Llama, what does that comment have to do with AR-15’s?
Just asking.
I agree with Jed Mask, and I’m surprised to find so many avid supporters of women-gun-shooting on here. Teaching your daughter to become proficient at shooting really isn’t necessary, and the reasons are because:
(a) it takes a considerable amount of time and money to become proficient at shooting, with the only avenues of doing so being either through routine practice at a gun range, or through routine practice while hunting, both of which are very masculinizing activities. Evidence of this is that nearly every girl who routinely visits the gun range, or who routinely hunts, is very masculinized and very trashy.
(b) So long as your daughter has some semblance of worth and does not devolve into a nasty, trashy, fat whale-beast, there is nearly always going to be somebody out there to protect her or avenge her, whether it be her husband, her father, her boyfriend, or one of her beta orbiters (every girls got one). Thus learning to become proficient at a gun really is just a waste of time.
(c) A woman’s best option in a dangerous situation is to take her kids, grab a gun if she can, and run away as fast as possible, not “stand her ground” and try to shoot someone. There is no other better option than this. It’s the instinctive thing for a woman to do. There is a reason we don’t find many stories of women “standing there ground” against robbers or rapists. Sure, it might happen very rarely, but more often than not when a woman’s in harms way, she is either going to “crack” due to the pressure, thus failing to use her gun-shooting skills properly (getting raped or harmed as a result) or she is going to do the instinctive thing (the smart thing) and run away. If someone broke into my home, I would want my wife and kids out through the window immediately, not my wife thinking “OK, so how we gonna kill em?”
I can think of other reasons as well, but put it simply, anything beyond teaching the basics (how to hold it, load it, aim it, etc.) to your daughter is a recipe for you-go-girlissm and a conservative feminist mentality, two things which I safely assume most readers here actively seek to avoid.
