Alanna Vagianos at Huffington Post is excited to announce that for the month of March the Brawny Man will once again be doing his best Caitlin Jenner impersonation. As Vagianos explained last year:
The Brawny Man just became the Brawny Woman.
A new video campaign from paper towel brand Brawny tells consumers that #StrengthHasNoGender by transforming their iconic Brawny Man into a woman. For the past five decades, the Brawny Man has served as the face of Brawny paper towel products. Known for his manly mustache, red flannel shirt and “brawny” strength, the Brawny Man is a famous example of American masculinity.
But women can be “brawny” too.
This is hilarious, because Brawny has always been a brand/product aimed at women. There is no feminist envy payoff here, because the mascot for this woman’s product never was an icon of manhood, at least not to men. There is nothing to steal; it was theirs all along. They may as well dress up like Fabio and declare:
I can’t believe it’s not butter!
Moreover, a group of feminists dressing up in flannel shirts and sensible shoes isn’t remotely groundbreaking. Instead of women marking a masculine space as feminine, this campaign leaves us with the image of women around the country sticking it to the man by tidying up and preparing meals.
However, one of the commercials from the same campaign last year does manage to work in brawny sized feminist satisfaction. See the swelling feminist pride Linda Alvarado experiences when she describes the moment she realized she had finally stuck it to the man. That “the man” in her story was her own kindergarten aged son seems to have made this pettiness all the sweeter:
I was invited to my son’s kindergarten class for career day. They asked him “Do you want to be a contractor like your mother?” He said “No”. They said “No?” He said “No. (sighs) That’s women’s work.”

Is seems like ‘feminism’ actually makes female inferiority (on all parameters) more visible, or something. In the old days, traditional customs covered this up (to the benefit of women).
She “wasn’t going to let anyone stop her from owning a construction company,” but she sure wasn’t going to turn down all the extra help and no-bid contracts she got because she’s a woman, either.
It’s funny how they always neglect to mention that.

Didn’t they just have a female “Mr” Clean?

LOL. Thanks for the laugh.
“The Brawny Man just became the Brawny Woman.”
You’ve come a long way, baby.
Yeesh.

Perhaps this is an example of lesbians attempting to mark heterosexual womens’ territory?
Lyn87,
It’s funny how they always neglect to mention that.
In seeing this across the entire breadth and depth of everything, the only two possible conclusions are :
i) Women have no moral compass whatsoever. On a scale of 1 to 10, they are a 3 at most, OR
ii) Women truly believe that men just produce money out of thin air at will, which is why they see nothing wrong with outright just taking what a man earned.
Arguably, this is why the institution of marriage *should* die, simply because too many women have had it too easy for too long.
They should bring back the Marlboro (Wo)man.
I often say that the ability of a single man to do daytime approaches is the single biggest determinant of not just his results with women, but overall happiness as well, as this affects other areas of life in addition :
To support this, a great video by Roosh about how men who do cold approaches (particularly in the daytime) are doing something that is impossible for 95-98% of men. Good stuff about male pride, empathy for the hard work done by the other man, etc :
It’s easy to forget just how impossibly daunting this was as a kid. We seem to be hardwired to a default phenomenological setting that makes regular women appear to walk with the gods.
In any event, you guys should quit being scared. They’re just people. If the one you’re talking to doesn’t like you, there are, like, 4 billion others in the world.

Boxer,
We seem to be hardwired to a default phenomenological setting that makes regular women appear to walk with the gods.
This was because most of human existence was in tribes or small villages of 50 to 100. For a young man, there were perhaps 5-10 young women in the entire universe for him to choose from, and rejection from any one stuck as they were still in the same tribe. If the chieftain liked her too, the young man could be cast out or worse. So it really *was* a life or death thing, so the brain calculates the risk accordingly..
Today, however, that is not the case. But the hardwiring persists….
Vagianos, lolz…I am the Viscount of Vag, the Duke of Dong, the Prince of Peter, the Emperor of Erections, the Maharaja of Meat.

He’s probably queer as a three-dollar bill and their marriage is one of convenience.
Since household cleaning products are targeted at Women, it strikes me that this is more Lesbians trying to replace Men. Since, clearly, they’re failed females.
@feeriker:
I’d move “probably” to “highly likely”.
Stay-at-home dads consigned to housework, using cleaning products that feature brawny female imagery. I think they’re just messing with us now.
Wait, Linda Alvarado is NOT Caitlyn Jenner? I’m most confused.
By the way something, show of hands, who actually believes her story about her son saying “contracting is women’s work”? Related to that, how many women does she employing? Bet it’s far, far south of 50%. If the kid’s ever been to the job sites, I guarantee he wasn’t presented with dreamy feminist visions of teams of women pouring concrete, building walls, etc.

Looking at the particulars of Alvarado Construction, one sees a lot of work for government agencies, both in the U.S. and Latin America.
I’m sure Mizz Alvarez is smarter than your average gal, but the simple fact is that as a woman and an Hispanic, she has been the life-long recipient of significant preferences that were/are not available to her competitors.
It takes a lot of gall to run against a hobbled opponent and then brag about your blue ribbon.
melmoth,
Interesting explanation of the high-stakes feel of approaching a young maiden. Helps me feel better about a few very bad moments in my youth.
Many seemingly illogical aspects of human behavior are all easily explained by understanding that :
Most humans lived in small tribes for 500,000+ years
Then, they lived in larger villages for about 2000-4000 years
The modern urban city is a very recent thing, that too for only a fraction of the world’s population. There really has been very little time to evolve, especially for women (who are slower evolving than men because the Y chromosome evolves faster than the x chromosome).
Notice that she owns the company, meaning that she works in an air conditioned office most of the time while it’s the men who are moving the bricks and doing the actual constructing.
[Linda Alvarado’s husband is] probably queer as a three-dollar bill and their marriage is one of convenience.”
I don’t know about that, but from doing a bit of digging, it’s damn near impossible to find out anything about her husband, even a photo of him, even to confirm his name. I can’t find a story about Linda Alvarado in which her husband is even mentioned, let alone by Ms. Alvarado, let alone by name. From what I can tell, Linda G. Alvarado is identified on Alvarado Construction’s website as President and CEO. She is 65 and lives in or near Denver where her construction company is headquartered. She could be related to a Robert Alvarado, who is 56 and has lived at most of the same locations as Linda has. There is an Alvarado Restaurant Group LLC, a California limited liability company HQ’d in Denver to which a Linda G. Alvarado is connected. But I can’t find a website for Alvarado Restaurant Group.
It’s interesting that Linda Alvarado, the Brawny Woman, is married to a virtual nonentity. Her children are virtual nonentities. Can’t find out names of her kids. She doesn’t mention them. Can’t confirm even so much as the name of her husband. Can’t find a single photo of her with her husband, or of her husband. Can’t find out anything about her husband or family.
Alvarado Construction’s website makes no mention of Linda’s family. All the stories I can find make only the vaguest, passing mentions of her children and only one of her husband, who from what I can tell, is a restauranteur. I can’t confirm anything else about her husband. Nothing. I can’t confirm anything about her children. Her family is a total nonentity.
It’s truly all about her.
Oleaginous Outrager @ 2:51 pm:
“By the way something, show of hands, who actually believes her story about her son saying “contracting is women’s work”?”
My hand goes up. These are called WEBE, woman-employed business enterprises. What you do is hire a woman to be “in charge” of your business so she gets all that preferential treatment/access intended to prevent men from succeeding. Ideally, related businesses form an alliance to do this, like a general contractor, grading company and civil engineer bidding together on a new housing development, because it’s easier to dissolve an alliance than fire newly-installed President Barbie when she tries to make actual command decisions. Kid seems a little precocious for this but I doubt he’s seen Mommy Frog-Lips do anything except contracting because WEBE.
So Hubby is using her construction company to build his restaurants? Hehheh, I know this game. They’re as married as Bill & Hillary.
In addition to playing the ‘woman’ card, which is far more powerful, this white woman is also playing the ‘Hispanic’ card.
Sorry, if she is a minority who is due special treatment, then Italians fit that description too.
Not to mention Asians, who are not called minorities at all despite visibly different appearances, only because they are successful.
But back to ‘feminism’… if she hadn’t brought her son into it (and pretended to be an ethnic minority), then I wouldn’t say this video is that bad compared to real ugly feminism. She had to screw up something that might have been not-too-bad..
Her husband gets a mention here in a short video clip, where he is lauded for attending a mother-daughter event back before that was cool. Mom had business trip to San Fran so couldn’t make it.

Where I’m at it’s not unusual for construction businesses to at least be ostensibly run by women (usually the founders’ wives) to get affirmative-action-ish public works jobs. Hey if it keeps men hired and working, whatevs.
And now for something completely the same:
Here is more on the new completely unnecessary Disney live-action “Beauty and the Beast”. A recent EW article makes clear that it has been way way too overthought in its SJW-inspired revisions, all proudly brought about by its SJW star, Emma Watson. Or so she says. Such as:
1. It’s not enough that Belle is bookish and smart. She also has to be the inventor person. Not her dad, who was the distracted but loving inventor dad in the cartoon version. That got taken away from him and given to her, yay intersectionality! Now he just makes music boxes which isn’t overly mannish and therefore Safe As Milk.
2. Why do this revision? Here goes: Emma thought Belle’s character needed a backstory as to why she had all that time to read books. She had to be so smart she threatened the Existing World Order. (Never mind that no one blinked an eye about this in the cartoon, she invented a solution for which there was no problem). So the deal is Belle is the one who invents. Her invention is a robot washing machine that did the family laundry so she had time to read all her books without being consigned to “traditional” Gurly-gurl roles. Anyway the villagers destroy the washing machine, egged on by entitled PUA Gaston, so there. Let’s make that villain a bit more cardboard shall we?
3. Belle’s music box dad is a Nice Guy (TM) but he is overprotective, thereby stifling her wanderlust to travel to all the places the music in the music boxes come from, for which she haz a Sad. So Daddy is an unenlightened patriarch and his attitude is problematic, off to Room 101 for him.
(Mommy is dead, but that’s in the original too. Anyway high-concept movie making always kills off one parent, it automatically creates drama and streamlines the storyline, this is done in most kids movies anymore).
4. Belle isn’t scared when she encounters the Beast. She ain’t scared of no man. When he pounds on the door she pounds back, when he roars she roars back. So there’s no peril and no tension, just More Feminism.
5. Gaston has a gay sidekick and there is supposedly a super-gay moment at the end of the movie that no one asked for. This has already offended one gay commentator who carps about consigning the gay character to a foppish comic foil, not Dignified and Uplifting at all to the minority it’s supposed to mollify. (Though to be honest the critic may have a point there. One sharp-eyed viewer previously noted that the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot consigned Leslie Jones to a female Kingfish/Stepin Fetchit role; so much for advanced multicultural diversity).
Ironically all these SJW revisions won’t satisfy SJW’s, who are never satisfied, so they’ll still moan, and will turn off family viewers. The new movie goes so far out of its way to not offend and be She-For-She uplifting there’s nothing to root for see. The men are clueless, bad and violent.
Meaning this reboot will tank like the Ghostbusters reboot. Or other overthought parables like Maleficient.
I was recently wayching a compilation show about generations before I was even born. Not usually emotional, but damned near made me cry ro realize what we have lost as White people.
The show was framed in the usual snarky way. Ie look at these un pc eccentric hicks. But boy was it a beautiful contrast. People weren’t self-conscious or ironic. Quirky, good looking, well dressed. The gurls were all pretty and feminine. No porkers with les hair.
But most importantly. Everyone was White. No treading on eggshells about diversity. The sexes could joke around. Could you imagine that, everyone you meet the same race, friendly, happy. Nuclear family, womsn at home, men recruitef om merit with a stake in society. Just utterly heartbreaking that we’ve allowed a griteaque cabal of piggy (((dykes))) to manipulate White women into actimg im the interests of Turd world parasites tjan their own nation.
“Strength has no gender” is just a wee bit disingenuous. There are many kinds of “strength” and women can exhibit strength during adversity, for example. “Brawny” however specifically means muscular and physically strong and women just aren’t.
Fortunately, I’ve always purchased Bounty. Rosie was sassy but at least she wore dresses.
States most likely vary, but WEBE or WMBE usually involves and interview process to weed out using a woman as a “figurehead.” But that’s pretty easy to get around.
“Hispanic” is considered “white” in the US and to be approved as a minority business, hispanics could only have immigrated within 2 generations. Black was automatic as well as Pacific Islander, not sure about Asian or others.
One thing I will say, while I was unable to qualify as WMBE, my contracts would have tripled or more. Our GC’s were clamoring to meet their minority’s quotas. To have it from a qualified subcontractor would have been a wet dream for them. Some even contract subs under wmbe subs as a pass through. 5% to the WMBE off the top for doing nothing is hard to pass up.
Women in construction was never really a big issue though. Worse for the contractors were pay-when-paid contracts, wage and hiring requirements (entitlements).
It takes a lot of gall to run against a hobbled opponent and then brag about your blue ribbon.
Women in general –and minority women in particular– couldn’t even compete, let alone win, under real-world conditions if they had to do so based on merit and ability alone. This is the simplest explanation for why there are no mixed sex professional sports.
@Fred Flange:
I’ve noticed a trend with the reviews for Beauty & The Beast that a lot of… detail, is just left out. Not in the avoiding spoilers way, but in the “don’t want the rubes to notice” sort of way. Reviewers are clearly dancing around issues.
This is the simplest explanation for why there are no mixed sex professional sports.
Not just physical contests, but mental ones too.
Look at all the chess grandmasters. How many are women? This is particularly damning since chess is an extremely inexpensive pursuit and women can practice with each other and become good, if they had the ability. Nothing stops two 9-year-old girls from playing chess with each other endlessly until both become extremely good..
Yet….. how many chess grandmasters are women?
Hell, they are not even good at checkers….
“The November 2016 FIDE rating list includes 1541 grandmasters,[1] of which 1508 are male and 33[2] are female”
So 2% are female, and 98% are male. Sounds about right.
50:1 ratio, so around 5SD given the Spatial reasoning difference between Men & Women.
Carnivore
“Strength has no gender” is just a wee bit disingenuous.
Oh, you’re confused. Remember that “gender is a social construct”. That blurring is no accident.
This is why it is important to use the correct word, sex when referring to men and women. Language has gender : el, la; der, die, das. Humans have sex: male and female.
PS: Anon, you can de-cloak at any time.
“The November 2016 FIDE rating list includes 1541 grandmasters,[1] of which 1508 are male and 33[2] are female”
Even that two percent figure seems inflated. How people who follow international chess closely can name evenone female grandmaster?
@Fred Flange, der kommisar – It’s an extremely tough call as to whose elevation to public “importance” is the greatest crime of the Harry Potter series: Emma Watson, or J.K. Rowling.
Funny how #strengthhasnogender is entirely female gendered.
LOL I saw a youtube that compared Belle to Patty Hearst and Beauty and the Beast to Stockholm Syndrome!
@feeriker:
No, the number is about right. I came across a Statistician that actually ran the stats on the Gendered difference in Spatial Reasoning and the effects it has on results. Men have a Median advantage of about .5 SD in the curves, but the big difference is how flat the curve is for Men.
At the very peak level (his last example was the Fields Medal), it should be about 1 Woman winning every 130 years or so. Granted, they recently (2014) gave one to a Woman, probably mostly to shut up the critics, but it wasn’t a huge stretch in that case. It’s about a 100:1 ratio out at 6SD.
With the ratio at 50:1, that’s around 5SD, which makes sense for ~1500 total Grandmasters, but it should be noted that it’s highly unlikely for a Woman to ever Win the actual world championship. There’s a big difference between being in the .0000002% and the top 1% of those in that small of a bracket. End-scale effects are its own fascinating topic.
I awake to a glorious International Woman’s Day and so let us put aside for just one day in a year purleese our rampant misogyny and celebrate female achievement. I know nothing about Chess but I can name just one chess grand-master: (((Judith Poldit))).
One of the American women GMs is Nazi Paikidze. Cute in a nerdish, bookish, librarian way. I’m sure she’s been overrun in male attention considering her field.
Back in my management days, we interviewed a female job candidate who had worked in the construction industry. She had done some actual work in the field, but then went on to be a supervisor or owner. The job for which she was interviewing with us was not in construction or anything related. In the interview, she was domineering, argumentative, confrontational, and a chronic name-dropper, even though she had worked in another state and we had no idea who any of these people were she was bragging about knowing.
Unbelievably, my CEO (older male, with White Knight tendencies) was thinking about hiring her. He thought we could use someone who would “shake things up.” I said, yeah, she’ll shake things up all right, adding that being domineering, argumentative, and confrontational may have served her well in construction, but in our world, she would alienate everyone in town inside of 3 weeks.
Fortunately, she wasn’t hired. Instead, he hired another chick (against my wishes) who was a disaster for other reasons, such as lying about her child care situation. Glad I’m not in management anymore.
I awake to a glorious International Woman’s Day and so let us put aside for just one day in a year purleese our rampant misogyny and celebrate female achievement.
For the sake of the day, I will admire an achievement even if I can’t bring my self to celebrate it. In the USA at least, women have been able to make 365 days of the year into Woman’s Day; and now they will also enjoy International Woman’s Day as a sort of bonus. So I will admit that is impressive.
It’s like the people that work at embassies. They get all the local holidays, plus the ones from their home countries that they brought along with them.
I have a group of cousins who are very successful embezzlers. They worked for my uncle in the lucrative contracting/surveying business he built more-or-less single-handedly when they were kids, and when they grew up they ended up taking it away from him, to the point of getting a daffy female judge to give them the reins after a trial that involved a fair amount of perjury and the judge making googly-eyes at their hunky lawyer like a love-struck schoolgirl. (No homo… but he really did have movie-star good looks.)
She was willing to overlook the fact that my youngest cousin – who acted as the firm’s accountant – had diverted $500,000 of company funds into a bank account in his wife’s name (for which neither he nor she paid even a penny in taxes) so as to keep the funds off the company balance sheet before the trial. It was surreal to watch the mind of a judge-chick spinning itself into oblivion in order to make their lawyer smile. She was positively atwitter: I’ve never seen anything like it since high school.
But that’s not my real point. My uncle put them all through school so they could get the degrees they needed to work in the family business, with the intention of passing it to them when he retired. And although he was paying them very well; like the Prodigal son, they didn’t want to wait until the Old Man died or retired… they wanted their inheritance right away. Once they had secured control and finally ownership of the company their father built from scratch, they promptly transferred majority ownership to their wives so that they would be a “female owned” company and get a leg-up for government contracts (like Alvarado Construction does – along with also being a “minority owned” business).
That’s a risky strategy, I suppose: if their wives ever divorced them they could easily take the company and sell it for several million dollars, but my cousins, their wives, and some of their wives’ relatives operate as a criminal cabal, and everyone has so much dirt on everyone else that nobody would really “win” in the end. On the one hand there are the “golden handcuffs” that keep them together, and on the other is the threat of the regular kind of handcuffs if anybody perceives he/she has nothing to lose by becoming a state’s witness.
Needless to say, they all make a great show of being devout Christians, and even though their pastor knows about the embezzlement, he cares about the big donations more… they built him a new sanctuary, after all.
At least the wives aren’t playing “Girl Power” on tee-vee like Mizz Alvarado. They’re far too invested in publicly embracing the “Proverbs 31 Woman” narrative for that.
Men don’t want her, and women don’t want to be her.
It’s almost amusing to see how Ms. Alvarado attempts in one breath to wrap herself in victimhood and in the next to congratulate herself shamelessly. I say “almost” amusing, because it’s becoming too common, too trite, to elicit any laughs. As soon as a “tough” woman feels she has to resort to that odd combination of whining and self-praise, she doesn’t seem so tough to me.
For the record, I have great respect for women who really are tough, and I’ve known a few. Genuinely tough women never resort to such tactics. They don’t feel that they need to put men down in order to elevate themselves, they don’t feel that they need to play the victim, and they tend to see feminist caterwauling as patronizing. They accept the fact that the real world IS challenging, and the rise to the challenges rather than grouse about “unfairness” (such grousing is usually just a ploy for special privileges, something genuinely tough women take offense at). So, when Ms. Alvarado takes the tired tack of mixing whining with gloating, she doesn’t come across as so tough after all.
At the last place I worked, one of my responsibilities was as an advisor for the undergraduate Go club. (For those who don’t know what the heck I’m talking about, Go is a strategy game, sorta like chess.) It was 100% young men, and as near as I could tell, it always had been.
I have a theory that women aren’t evolved to sit around being abstract. Even great female math geniuses (the algebraicist Emmy Noether is a good example) tend to have weird stories. Noether was barren and sickly, and amused herself with math games. Her papers are full of discontent, and she seems to have spent much of her life wishing she could be a wife and mother, rather than a teacher.
Someone should study the female outliers who discipline themselves and get good at these abstract things — not just games, but general topics, like math, analytic philosophy, physics, linguistics. My experience is that they heavily skew toward being mannish and dykish (not lesbians per se, but they tend to have the aura of lesbians). This is not just in contrast to molly homemaker, but to women in other “hard” topics that have practical applications. I have known tons of hot female chemists, for example, while I’ve known exactly one attractive mathematician my whole life. I’ve never known of one single hot female philosopher.

Fred Flange said: “Where I’m at it’s not unusual for construction businesses to at least be ostensibly run by women (usually the founders’ wives) to get affirmative-action-ish public works jobs. Hey if it keeps men hired and working, whatevs.”
It’s like this in IT, men do the grunt work, but women are running the show.
Personnel managers, project mangers, product owners, scrum masters, are dominated by women. The reasons for this are:
1) IT companies under pressure to hire more women, hire them in the positions women actually apply for.
2) A significant percentage of women who start out as programmers quickly migrate out of it. Apparently, the reality of programming (which can be akin to doing math problems all day with no human interaction) isn’t to their liking. I can’t tell you how many women I know who started out as programmers, only to quickly move to some softer skill position (such as product owner).
Opus will probably be more familiar with this show than most of the Americans here, but there was a British show called “The IT Crowd” about a woman named “Jen” who takes over the IT department of a large business while knowing precisely nothing about computers. All the real work of the department is done by the two nerdy men who work for her.
Hilarity ensues. Much of the humor revolves around her helping the men navigate within the social sphere while they help her navigate within the technical sphere (which means trying to keep her from being found out so they don’t all get fired by their very strange boss).
Jen, played by the “Girl-Next-Door-ish” Katherine Parkinson, is not ever shown as being anything but a hot mess who’s in over her head.
It’s like this in IT, men do the grunt work, but women are running the show.
They like to think that they’re running the show. However, the fact is that most of them spend most of their workday running down systems engineers and operations managers –the overwhelming majority of whom are men— to ask for their input on what the heck is really going on in their organizations. These women are absolutely addicted to meetings, which are the only venues in which they can be educated on the complex subjects that they’re responsible for overseeing. Without exception, such meetings are redundant, irrelevant, never focused, and are much too long, wasting precious time and resources that should be dedicated to getting work done.
I just started a new job in which my project technical lead is a neurotic woman who is totally out her depth. Without constant input from her lead systems engineer, her lab manager/engineer, and me, her cybersecurity technical lead (all of us male), she would fail in an instant. Of course that doesn’t stop her from second guessing our input, even when after several instances of doing so has gotten her into hot water.
No, women in IT “leadership” positions, IME, are really about as in control of their people and projects as a ventriloquist’s dummy is in control of itself.
@Lyn 87
Sorry, never heard of it (I don’t have a telly). Humor should have a U after the O.
What I do know about are female composers: there always were some and they have always had special pleading but they suffer the same fate as the female mathematicians and chess-players. That does not stop the elite granting them special privilege but there is a problem, namely that they are predominantly white and middle-class (save for Eleanor Alberger who is mixed and Pritti Patel who is Indian) and always with Christian names like Chloe and Judith and Cheryl for there has never been a female composer named Kylie or Kaylee or Tracey or Sharron (I am prepared to bet my pension fund on that) and that is all very well. Unfortunately the elite are equally keen to push those who are ethnic and as one can see from the latest brochure for London’s Festival Hall have the historical ignorance and nerve to suggest that Caucasians have always been prejudiced against Black people to the extent that the black people have been prevented from composing. That as I say happens to be bunkum but if they continue to push this racist nonsense they are going to be – as commissions are limited and finite – on a collision course with those white middle-class women named Chloe and Charlotte. I therefore see the women kicking back against this. I think they will lose because in the pecking order of victim-hood race trumps sex.
In the meanwhile Marin Alsop who is American and making a career for herself with British orchestras as a conductor-ess has been holding Master Classes at the aforementioned hall for wannabe female conductors. Females only no penis allowed, note; and thus a case of blatant sexual Apartheid. Vasily Petrenkov (top conductor in charge at the LSO) described Alsop (she has Bournemouth, the lowest ranking of the English Orchestras) as ‘a cute little girl’. She isn’t, of course, as she has hit the wall but there are some young conductresses who are cute like the Lithuanian emigrant at Birmingham and their is some chick also a foreigner at The Ulster Orchestra (even lower down the pecking order than Birmingham bu that is in Ireland) and I predict that they will being cuter achieve greater success.
The Festival Hall seems to be intent on insulting its core audience.
In the USA at least, women have been able to make 365 days of the year into Woman’s Day; and now they will also enjoy International Woman’s Day as a sort of bonus.
I now understand why Bruce decided to become Caitlyn. It’s a “if you can’t beat them, join them” mentality. Makes a lot of sense now.
In my opinion the solution to western misandry and unfettered feminism, is men. Only men can out an end to the madness.
A woman’s sense of well being is irrevocably wrapped up in masculine attention and approval. It’s in her nature; at the very center of her being. Without male attention and approval, women will go bananas. I think all this endless attack on men, and relentless pursuit of male space, and unending desire to be “strong and independent”, and “have sex like men”, is all a ploy of women to gain men’s attention and approval, though they are going about it the wrong way. And we are not likely to see an end to the madness until men do something about it.
As the knowledge of redpill and MGTOW continues to spread however, western women will, hopefully, gradually begin to come to their senses. But the road to recovery is going to be long.
As an advertising and brand specialist (as well as a marginally notable Red Pill aware man) myself, I stay up on trends like this. Behold! The Brawny woman campaign is actually a year in the making:
http://www.adweek.com/brand-marketing/brawny-swaps-male-mascot-strong-female-figures-honor-women-170036/
You see, most “progressive” companies (like Audi) banked on the seemingly sure victory of Hillary Clinton becoming the first female president in 2017. They spent countless dollars on getting out ahead of the competition by signing on to what every leftist ad agency (OK, that’s an oxymoron) convinced them of – Hillary would usher in the era of the woman for the next 8 years and any forward thinking company better get on board and
pnadercater to the new primary demographic ’empowered women’ and sym-pathetic “men”.With the inconceivable Trump presidency those pre-bought ad campaigns had to switch the narrative from a feminine-supremacism victory lap to one of ‘we shall overcome’ in spite of the same old sexism we’re supposed to presume is lurking under every male CEO’s desk. You can see this in stark contrast when you look at any of the multi-million dollar Super Bowl commercial spots that are shot a year well in advance of their air-time date. Audi’s commercial being the most glaringly evident of the presupposition of a woman president.
In the coming year(s) I predict we’re going to see more of the “women-as-oppressed” advertising because this is what ad agencies believe will resonate with damn near every demographic. And for those whom it doesn’t, then those who disagree will have to deal with those it does.
All of March is ‘Women’s History Month.’ It’s not just about ‘Women’s Day.’ There is also a designated week inside March that is ‘Women’s Week.’ I’m surprised the day and the week aren’t parceled out to other seasons. So here comes the entire month, not long after the ‘pussyhat rage/triumph/women are nasty/women are perfect’ marches. Reverence for the female is getting into the North Korean “Dear Leader” propaganda territory.
Agree. It’s actually becoming some sort of weird new religious movement. This makes sense, when you ponder the fact that feminism is antirational, and antirealistic, but has emotional appeal to life’s failures. All it can really be, at this point, is religion.
Shit, even among religions it’s a total loser. At least I can learn something useful from the New Testament or the Talmud or the Tao Te Ching. What am I gonna learn from Gloria Steinem, that has any practical application to my life in the real world? The answer, of course, is nothing.
I’d feel sorry for them, but then, that’s what they want.
Boxer
There is also a designated week inside March that is ‘Women’s Week.’
That’s the week when all men need to sick out/take vacations so that the snowflakes can prove to the whole world why they have earned a glorification week.
Women are all socialist retards who can’t make proper decisions for themselves unless a man with morality does it for them. Unfortunately, women cannot identify a moral man if their life depended on it, so they deserve everything bad that happens to them.
RE Lyn87 and IT Crowd
The following link is a great scene from “IT Crowd” where the boss is trying to negotiate with a group of feminists and hilarity ensues (there’s some context missing, Jen was tasked with entertaining some clients who wanted to party and hit the nightlife, and these women had nothing to do with that and were just in the office complaining about the boss’s sexist comments in a magazine interview, but it stands on its own fine too):
The show episodes seem to all be on youtube, S1-E1 is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2axRkinwaN8
Its a fun show and does not take long to see the complete series.
What’s beautiful is that women are being played here.
The Brawny people don’t give a crap about anything other than selling paper towels. Their marketing department figured this would sell more towels. End of the story.
They don’t put gay couples in a Tide commercial unless they think it is a net benefit to selling detergent.
So the women who buy Brawny because of this ad campaign have been manipulated.
I can’t think of any man who cares. We laugh. Because women are at the grocery store buying stuff to take care of the house. Pick up a Swiffer while you’re at it. We swear men will clean the floor for you if you do. Men love the Swiifer! I’ve seen the commercials.
They wouldn’t lie to sell crap would they?
“feeriker says:

The ‘special snowflakes’ DON’T HAVE to ‘earn’ a glorification week for the simple fact that they have a vagina; “earning” things is for vile evil penis-possessors.
feeriker,
They like to think that they’re running the show. However, the fact is that most of them spend most of their workday running down systems engineers and operations managers –the overwhelming majority of whom are men— to ask for their input on what the heck is really going on in their organizations.
So these women earn hefty compensation for little or no productivity (maybe even negative productivity).
Yet, there are some clods, even here, that strongly dispute that artificial intelligence is going to tighten the screws on such women. If the total business become uncompetitive due to the baggage of the female manager’s cost, then different business models emerge (and the smarter men from the old organization will find ways to seek out these new opportunities in more diffuse, disperse, yet profitable organizations using AI).
‘I now understand why Bruce decided to become Caitlyn. It’s a “if you can’t beat them, join them” mentality. Makes a lot of sense now.’
I always thought it was because he wanted to be a Kardashian instead of just marrying one.

I’m sure Mizz Alvarez is smarter than your average gal, but the simple fact is that as a woman and an Hispanic, she has been the life-long recipient of significant preferences that were/are not available to her competitors.
It is certain she would not see it that way, any more than a tropical fish in a tank would see the filter system, heater system, regular feeding, etc. as anything special. I’m all but positive she sees herself as having fought against racial and sexual prejudice all her life and succeeding despite those things.
It’s even worse with many younger women, who see Oppression everywhere around them despite being the most privileged group of humans ever, aside from a handful of emperors, kings, etc. When I survey the array of special “things” that girls are given just for their precious XX chromosomes, from the K – 12 school system to universities to the world of work to busines startups and on and on, it’s astounding. It’s like reading about the French aristocrats of the 18th century.
Meanwhile boys…the other day I was listening to a mother of two boys talk about how her 2nd grader keeps getting in trouble in school — basically he’s being a gregarious boy too much, and needs to act more like an introverted girl[*]. She and her husband won’t tolerate any drugs, I bucked her up on that. Next time I see her I’ll suggest changing schools if necessary to avoid the drugs. Because the drugs really do mess up a boys brains – nobody would suggest “treating” a boy with low doses of cocaine for 10+ years, but Ritalin? Why not?
[*] A lot of Millennial men act like women or gays. Some of that may be the lower levels of T that are a widespread issue, some of that surely is 12 years of learning to keep your head down and act like a girl in order to get along with the female teachers, female principals, female advocates, female nurses, female specialists that run the K – 12 system.
Why does Youtube persist in having a down vote button if you can’t use it???
The implicit dishonest of choice is laughable. Diversity means everyone MUST think alike about ‘diversity’.
Wait… her name is really Vagianos? Or is that some silly feminut pseudonym?
…the other day I was listening to a mother of two boys talk about how her 2nd grader keeps getting in trouble in school — basically he’s being a gregarious boy too much, and needs to act more like an introverted girl[*].
The best advice for that mother is to get both of her boys out of school – yesterday, if it’s a public school and ASAP if it’s a private school. Schools, as they are now constituted, public or private, are toxic to boys, both physically and psychologically. Home school them or find a (preferably male) tutor who can assemble a path of instruction that accommodates the young male way of learning and development. A female-dominated “education” industry is the LAST institution in whose charge they should be placed.

Deffo negative productivity for women.
1) Doing a job a competent man would be doing.
2) Making the qualified men tread on eggshells bc women use PC terrorism.
3) Dumb bishes always support other useless people _ third worlders – via diversity schemes.
4) Resentment from the productive workers as they know the value they create is being reduced to bribe SJWitches.
You might want to look into the Rev. Amy Richter, who is the rector of an Annapolis, Md. based church. She’s in the news now because she’s banned a traditional Confederate ceremony from church grounds because racism. But Googling her I found headlines like “The ripped, bikini-clad reverend” in the New York Times. Um…what’s happening to the churches these days? Political leftism…bikinis? You know this stuff better than I and can probably figure it out.
I was watching new Netflix show Beastmaster (standard crazy obstacle course TV with people from all countries). The only female contestant was from the US. As part of her introduction she gives normal feminist boilerplate about how a woman can do anything and she is going to show everyone blah blah. She does decent the first round, but the second round requires some very challenging vertical jump and she does not make it past the second jump- basically 30 seconds into the second obstacle course. And she cries. I tell my son that is too bad. He tells me – “Once she made that stupid girl power speech I was hoping she would lose”. Pretty funny – but yes feminism does not translate into upper body strength and verticals leap. I am sure in future episodes they will find a way for a woman to make it through. But that was pretty funny. Many of the rising generation seem to be pretty tired of the unreal lies of feminism.
Woman want to appropriate their own brand messages. Uh – ok. Dalrocks nails it – a female facing brand appropriates it’s own brand. Men notice only for the lols.
Women are just as tough as men … until the going gets tough and they find themselves in over their heads, then they scream at the men “Do something!”
“The only female contestant was from the US. As part of her introduction she gives normal feminist boilerplate about how a woman can do anything … and she does not make it past the second jump- basically 30 seconds into the second obstacle course. And she cries.”
Funny how when the men fail in these “ninja shows” they just shrug their shoulders, smile and say “I’ll be back”. If any of them were to cry they would be mocked and laughed at.
Sure, it’s fun to watch fictional female characters on movies and TV kick butt, especially since the stunt doubles are usually well stacked and easy on the eyes. But those stunts are carefully choreographed and even then sometimes the ladies CAN’T do them.
An example: In Bladerunner there is a scene where Pris gets into a fight with Deckerd. It’s the scene where she performs multiple flips. Daryl Hannah, who portrayed Pris, had some experience in gymnastics, so she tried to do the stunt herself. She failed abysmally. OK, no problem, we’ll bring in a female stunt double, a real gymnast. She also couldn’t perform the stunt. So what did they do? You guessed it. They hired a male gymnast, dressed him as Pris, and he performed the stunt. Problem solved.
Growing up in the 1970’s as a boy, and a teenager in the 1980’s I learned the following by television. Calgon was an “ancient chinese secret”, Hershey was the “great American chocolate bar”. Annette Funicello liked Skippy Peanut Butter, Bounty paper towels, and 100% Florida Oranges for Tropicana juice. Lee Iaccoca challenged us buy a better a car if we found one! OJ Simpson jumped all those pesky turnstiles at the airport for Hertz Car Rental. Four out of five dentists preferred “trident chewing gum” and Genesee Beer (New York State’s own) was the “great outdoors in a glass”
Who cares right? It was just a TV commercial.
Does this change mean we’ll now have a single dad walking down the beach with his teenage daughter talking about that “not-so-fresh-feeling-down-there”?
Btw……I buy “Bounty” paper towels when they are on sale in bulk at Walmart. Otherwise, the el-cheapo dollar roll is fine in the meantime
Here’s a review of a new book on how divorce is all men’s fault even though women start divorces 70% of the time:

Besides the Divorce Club support group, my favorite part is, after citing the 70% figure, their advice to branch swinging wife is “make sure you’re safe.” Cause those awful men’s will get out the coat hanger or spend the savings on Bet Fair Casino or go Seeking Arrangement or something. All your fault guys.
Have I read this yet? No. I’ll let YOU ALL do that then you all can come back and tell me all about it.

My hand goes up. These are called WEBE, woman-employed business enterprises. What you do is hire a woman to be “in charge” of your business so she gets all that preferential treatment/access intended to prevent men from succeeding.
Very, very common in DoD contracting, ie, the “8A Program.” When a defense contractor gets “8A Certified,” then a cornucopia of preferences and special treatment cascade down upon it, and sweet, lucrative contracts follow. One of the first things one does to get “certified” is to list one’s wife/disabled (or better yet, a disabled wife if you have one) as the CEO of the company.
Lyn87 is certainly familiar with these….
@Take The Red Pill – And I’d say, “I already am. I’m watching a strong, independent woman who doesn’t need a man, losing her mind — and I’m loving every minute of it.”

There are few things that will irritate a woman who is losing her mind more than calmly walking away from her.

The next step is to make sure that you bid as prime on every contract, carefully selecting a sub who canactually do the work (as prime you’ll still be responsible for ten percent of the actual work, at a minimum).
To say that the federal (particularly DoD) contracting system is irremediably broken and corrupt is putting it too kindly.
Dalrock, I have a question. You know about all the carousel riding women out there, you know how (the majority) of women feel and behave and how they want to make the man pay for their own faults (trying to jump of the carousel at the last minute). How in the world, with all this in the back of your mind, could you not only have married, but also made kids with your wife? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? I’m just trying to understand, because I feel how indifferent, cold-hearted even all of this makes me.
OT, but of interest to this group:
A cherry red pill service in church today, quite different from the norm. The pastor’s wife, normally very female-centric in terms of her approach to anything, sang a song during praise service with the theme that husbands are God’s gift to wives, that wives should cherish them and realize that if they lose them, they will soon feel the loss acutely (“you never know how precious something is till it’s gone”).* Her husband then gave a sermon on marriage that emphasised 1st Corinthians 7: 10-12 as its centerpiece. People probably were staring at me as my jaw rested on the floor in absolute amazement.
There just might be hope for this church yet.
(* It probably isn’t wise to be over-optimistic. At the song’s conclusion the pastor’s wife asked “ladies, how many of you would welcome your husbands home after they’ve been through a hard, grueling day’s work by giving them a hug, a kiss, and a warm water massage to their shoulders, back, or feet?” Needless to say, I looked around at the congregation for a reaction. Only a smattering of female hands went up. Par.)
Look at how clueless the lefto-faggots are about true alphatude (Trump) vs. creepy, smarmy perverts (Anthony Weiner, etc.)…
I hope they double-down in THIS direction…
Heard a radio commercial for Budget Blinds.
Two brother are talking. One brags about being a “tech genius” because of the high-tech blinds he bought at Budget Blinds. But it turns out his wife did all the research. At the end…
1st Bro: “And I did all the work.”
2nd Bro: “Sally did all the work.”
1st Bro: “Yeah. But I’ll take the credit.”
2nd Bro: My brother, the tech genius!”
1st Bro: “Yeah!>”
Jason: Growing up in the 1970’s as a boy, and a teenager in the 1980’s I learned the following by television. Calgon was an “ancient chinese secret”
I remember that commercial. Another example of the wife undermining the husband.
The Chinese husband runs a laundry. He tells his customers that how he gets their clothes so clean is an ancient Chinese secret.
We cut to the wife in the back room, mocking her husband to the audience. telling us it’s only Calgon. She then yells to him from the back room, “We need more Calgon!” — loud enough so the customers can hear, thus hurting his/their laundry business.
Even as a kid, I thought, “What a bitch. She’s betraying her husband, hurting his business, and hurting herself in the process.”
You can, of course, find that commercial on YouTube.
Even then, commercials were undermining husbands.
These ads depicting the male as inferior, and the fact that women demand this, just show how untalented and morally childlike most women are.
Men simply have no desire to see women portrayed negatively, or as even more inferior than they really are.
But women crave this. This is huge evidence of their untalented and morally stunted nature.
“What a bitch. She’s betraying her husband, hurting his business, and hurting herself in the process.”
Since when do women connect even the simplest cause and effect?
Men simply have no desire to see women portrayed negatively, or as even more inferior than they really are.
It’s largely an unconscious pushback. Most realize, even if only intuitively, that if they were to truly understand the depths of this inferiority, and the burden they’ve taken upon themselves by tolerating it, they would probably be driven to despair and/or suicide.
@Opus
International Woman’s Day, huh? Seems to me like every day is a woman’s day. Surely, never before in the history of God’s creation have women ever had life so f@$kin easy, the world on a literal platter. International Woman’s Day…pfft.
This article reminds me of another example of feminist territory- marking which was just as ridiculous.
James Brown was famous for writing a song called, ”It’s a man’s World”. in the song he recites all of the things that men do: they conquer, they build, they sacrifice. in the chorus he sings, ”It’s a Man’s world / But it would be nothing / without a woman…”
The spiteful lesbian Nina Cherry wrote ”It’s a Woman’s World” when she heard Brown’s song, not having listened to the chorus. She simply reacted to the words ”man’s world”.
Immature, reactionary and stupid. Feminism in a nutshell.
Needless to say, I looked around at the congregation for a reaction. Only a smattering of female hands went up.
It might take a while, but I guess they’ll get there. A single sermon can only do so much to reverse the effects of a lifetime of feminist programming. On a general note though, western women are seeing the handwriting on the wall. MGTOW and RedPill ideas have gone mainstream, and the panic mode has been activated in society. Eligible men putting off marriage en masse for a mere five years could have a devastating effect on millions of women’s prospect of ever getting married. Even the most optimistic women know this.
It’s one thing to hope that Prince Charming might be coming some day; but quite another to know for a fact that not only is he not coming, but that he is actively trying to convince his friends not to show up either.
Dave,
MGTOW and RedPill ideas have gone mainstream, and the panic mode has been activated in society.
We may want to think that, but not yet. For example, cuckservatives like Wilcucks and Gayratty are still driven by greed, rather than fear. They greedily want to appropriate a man’s full output while selling him snake oil about how beneficial marriage is (despite their own extremely bottom-rung outcomes).
feeriker,
We had a prophetic word come forth in a recent service that men are not honored enough. That is a point I have been pushing for some time with the pastor and an associate pastor, though not the individual that said this. It was completely independent of what I said, though it was reasonably well received.
Not a full solution, but a good thing.
Though I am going through my own bump now. Found out the divorce may not be final for another few months and I think that hit me quite hard. Getting over a long term marriage is harder than it seems at times.
I really do want to get off this emotional roller coaster ride, but I can’t find where to do that. I guess I just have to ride it out….

You surprise me that such words were said in any church in North America. Can you share the context?
While on the supermarket line, a young woman ahead of me had one of those baby carriers strapped to her waist. But instead of a baby, the carrier contained a dog.
The young man with her explained to the people on line, “It’s a therapy dog.”
I couldn’t see why this woman needed a therapy dog strapped to her waist. She looked in her early 20s, healthy and fit. She was happily petting and discussing her dog, while all the other woman on line cooed at it. The woman obviously enjoyed being the center of attention, thanks to her “therapy dog.”
The man — her boyfriend? — was a tall, gangly, hipster type with scraggly beard. He seemed very Beta, the sort who trails behind a woman, supporting her in whatever she says or wants.
I’m becoming a grumpy old man in my 50s. I just don’t understand these crazy kids and their need for therapy dogs. Except that women of my generation have them too.

RPL: A LOT of women in their 20s choose Hipsters as FBs or even ”boyfriends” because they are detachable. They have no intention of a serious relationship, no intention of marriage. What they want is someone more under-qualified than they are and more unstable than they are. This is so that they can control the relationship, the ultimate ”lead me – but only where I want to go!”
Therapy dogs? They’re one step up from cats, which is the ultimate companion to the crazy woman. The one you saw hasn’t gotten there yet, but give her time. And a few more detachable ”all men are bastards” hipsters.
It’s always important to remember that when someone eliminates long-term & eternal interests, they are reduced to their base interests. What are a Woman in her 20s base interests?
– Attention
– Best dick they can get
– Avoiding reality
– Attention
– Avoiding responsibility
– Whatever their whim desires

– Never being responsible

It’s *always* only about them. It takes actual devotion to the Lord to even crack that a little bit.

Those who are saved undergo his discipline. The fact that many “Christian” women are not receiving that discipline by God that molds them into Godly women indicates their salvation.
I think a false gospel is being preached to many of them.
Genuine change only comes to a remnant of them who manage to receive the true Gospel by God’s grace.
Modernity has proven very deeply corrupting of women and femininity. We should pray for their souls.
How awful it is to fall into the hands of the Living God especially when one considers oneself saved without the corresponding fruits that indicates real living faith.
How terrible when Jesus says: ”I never knew you”

If women don’t come to work, the men in the office can relax a bit and not worry that this will be the day a sexual harassment suit will be filed against them. With no women in the office, it will be less likely that a man will be a target. And without women around, maybe the men can get some work done.
If women are wearing red in solidarity with the strike, men will know which ones to avoid and that makes it easy to know which ones will make you a scapegoat at work or miserable in your dating life.”

Therapy animals are more and more common. They show up on airlines, in college classrooms, restaurants. Last week I chatted with a woman in her 60’s who had a tiny Dashund as a therapy dog. It used to be these were for people with serious ailments and the animals had to be able to perform certain tasks. Now it’s often about PTSD. That’s a companion animal, also known as a “pet”.
I also don’t get why people have “therapy dogs”. Sure, I have a dog, and I enjoy his presence. But I don’t take him with me everywhere I go, certainly not to the supermarket. Don’t most stores only allow official service dogs in the store?
I don’t fly that often, maybe once or twice a year. I can’t say that I’ve ever seen a “therapy dog” on an airliner. I also can’t say that I’ve seen one at the supermarket. I do see, once in a very blue moon, a service dog, with a vest that identifies it as one, at the supermarket.
Regarding women and their cats and (little) dogs: It’s no coincidence that the term “pet owner” has fallen out of general use in favor of “pet parent.”
Like Frank K, I’ve seen a few service dogs on airplanes, as my job involves a fair amount of flying around the U.S., but it’s not very common. I suspect that “therapy dogs” for vaguely-specified and (of course) invisible ailments are little more than attempts to allow princesses to take their mop-head dogs everywhere they go on the grounds that they are “service animals.” Not only is the dog a substitute for a child – they even carry them in baby-carriers – but it signals that the woman is dealing with some trauma, thus proclaiming her “victim status” to every single person who lays eyes on her.
It reminds me a bit of all the people who get “handicap” placards for their vehicles so they can park near the door of McDonald’s because of sore knees related to their morbid obesity, caused – ironically enough – by not getting enough exercise in relation to their caloric intake.
IIRC, several breeds of “lap dogs” got their start because aristocratic ladies as far back as the Roman Empire wanted canine companions they could treat as substitute children, and working dogs didn’t fit the bill as status symbols… the less suited an animal was to survival on its own, the more it needed “mommy” and the “better” it was.
Isn’t it interesting that men typically like dogs bred for a practical purpose (hunting, herding, guarding livestock, pulling sleds, etc.), even if the dog is only a pet, but women gravitate towards dogs that are utterly and completely useless and helpless?
The man — her boyfriend? — was a tall, gangly, hipster type with scraggly beard. He seemed very Beta, the sort who trails behind a woman, supporting her in whatever she says or wants.
Spike stole my thunder here, but yeah, he caters to her every whim because she’s a bat shit-crazy bitch who goes psychotically violent on him when she doesn’t get her way. Poor schlub also doesn’t realize just how disposable he is.
And without women around, maybe the men can get some work done.
This, THIS, THIS!!!!!!
“several breeds of “lap dogs” got their start because aristocratic ladies as far back as the Roman Empire wanted canine companions they could treat as substitute children”
There’s a real use for them in the early detection of heart attacks. Some dogs can reportedly hear/smell a coronary coming. Whenever I see Madame Michelin holding a Chihuahua, that’s the first thought on my mind.
Coworkers wonder why I sometimes giggle in public for no apparent reason. This is why, and why I don’t want to give an honest answer.
Ar,
They had just had a call to pray for all who needed prayer (I forget the specific named situation). It would bother some here, but a lady who speaks things out at time came up to note that we needed to respect fathers more. I didn’t write it all down, but they then prayed over all the fathers who came down. No subtle put downs woven in or anything, just noting the need to honor fathers.
This is a very charismatic church that only has males in leadership positions. They are still quite blue pill in many areas. Only a blip, but a good one.
Dave,
Hang tough, bro. Each new day is one day less on the roller coaster. You’ll emerge on the other side, stronger than ever.
I know that in my mind, but the “drops” in the ride come at very unexpected times. I still wish I could make my marriage work out, but I do not believe I really have any chance at that and I have no compulsion to “wait” for my wife to repent/return. I think I am doing well, probably while climbing to the top of a high track, and then the downward spin comes.
CATS:
I am very glad I have my cats around. My wife was going to take one, which really was her cat, but even she has warmed up to me a lot since she gets no other attention. She was found beside a road before we got her and she is quite shy, but loves to have me pet her at times and has even sat in my lap for a bit on the couch. I focus on enjoying even the small things now.
Cats are much easier to take care of than dogs, which helps me.
Lyn87@ “It reminds me a bit of all the people who get “handicap” placards for their vehicles so they can park near the door of McDonald’s because of sore knees related to their morbid obesity, caused – ironically enough – by not getting enough exercise in relation to their caloric intake.”
Meanwhile I have bad knees due to arthritis. It’s no big deal, something a 2-3 times a year cortisone shot helps alleviate, but it has never occurred to me to ask for a handicap placard.

Thanks for that info. That would be a good trend in the churches. I frankly don’t expect it to happen.
OT, but more on “young Christian marriage”. Trigger warning: Al Mohler quote.
http://theaquilareport.com/problem-delaying-marriage/
Frank K: I also don’t get why people have “therapy dogs”. Sure, I have a dog, and I enjoy his presence. But I don’t take him with me everywhere I go, certainly not to the supermarket. Don’t most stores only allow official service dogs in the store?
Yes, non-service dogs are barred from most stores, especially those that serve food.
But I see people — mostly women, but not always — bring them into Starbucks and the supermarket, on a regular basis. I guess the clerks and managers are too intimidated to tell them to leave the dogs outside. It might cause a scene, get on social media, and outrage the snowflake community.
Hmm, there’s nothing triggering in one of Mohler’s thumbsucking obligatory essays, it’s only a few minutes of my time. It’s just tedious, boring, repetitive and repetitive not to mention redundant.
Maybe 25 years ago that essay could have been mildly significant. Now it’s just noise. Why does anyone bother to read that man? He is utterly clueless on the topic of marriage and clearly has zero inclination to actually learn anything from anyone.
Talking of handicapped parking. A local Home Depot has 6-8 spots in a prime location for those with such stickers. I am sure some of the target audience shop there, but I have never seen them even half full and I can recall more than once seeing someone who looked perfectly abled park their and go in. Really annoying and stupid.
@BillyS
Watching “healthy” people use a handicapped parking is kind of like watching people load up on groceries with food stamps. You need to give them the benefit of the doubt. Not every disabling condition is obvious. Some people can walk fine for very short distances, but struggle to walk farther. Some people who are terminally ill can do an errand or two first thing in the morning, or right after they have had a nap, and then they are done for the day. Similarly, somebody can be using food stamps to do the shopping for someone who is disabled and unable to shop for himself. The man with the food stamps looks like he could get a job because he actually does work full time, but his elderly mom or his handicapped neighbor receives food stamps and finds it difficult to leave home.
Lots of people are cheating the system, but you generally can’t be certain that the person you are observing is one of the scammers.
I once wanted to shop at a sporting goods store in California. It had 11 parking spots, two of which were reserved for the handicapped. The two handicapped spaces were not in use, but all nine of the regular parking places were in use. I drove around the block a few times, and gave up after about 20 minutes. I always wondered whose idea it was to reserve TWO spaces out of eleven for the handicapped at a sporting goods store.
Fiddlesticks,
Kudos to Bradford Wilcox; I think we’re gradually getting through to him.
Don’t count on it. What appears to be concern is really just concern for something that might prevent men from entering the misandry contract (Marriage 2.0). He is not actually concerned about men.
Here is another demolition of Wilcucks, from the National Parents Organization.
Quotes from the NPO article :
“Wilcox wants men to believe that they have a great deal of control over whether they remain married. But there is much they don’t have control over, like all the public policies that encourage women to leave their marriages.
I’ll deal with that and Wilcox’s frank misandry next time.”
This is one of the most important articles the ‘sphere has published. It has relatively few words, but the pictures are worth a lot 27 images = 27,000 words, effectively.
27 formerly pretty girls who ruined their looks from Feminism.
Look hard at this deliberate destruction of a scarce and valuable resource. The obliteration of one’s human capital. I will post this a few times, because it really does say it all.
There are no humans of any age more useless than ‘feminists’. In terms of pure ideological evil, its only real rivals are Al-Qaeda/ISIS (if that)…
IMDb has introduced an F rating for films. That F for feminist.
Films with a strong female content with earn this F rating: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-somerset-39132867
A feminist film classification created to highlight the lack of women working in the movie industry is now being used on the IMDb film information site.
The F-Rating was introduced by Bath Film Festival director Holly Tarquini in 2014 and has been taken up by more than 40 UK cinemas and festivals.
IMDb boss Col Needham said: “The F-Rating is a great way to highlight women on screen and behind the camera.”
Ms Tarquini said 21,800 films had been tagged with the F-Rating on IMDb.
As if Hallmark and Lifetime and Disney and ABC Family, and all the rest, aren’t already flooding our culture with films bursting with Grrrl Power and featuring whole herds of Strong, Independent Women.
How do we lobby to get the Kendrick film portfolio rated “F”? Can regular users flag films as feminist?
@m11nine
“How do we lobby to get the Kendrick film portfolio rated “F”? Can regular users flag films as feminist?”
The films get an “F” if they are written or directed by a female, or are about females WITHOUT males. So while technically the rating doesn’t mean “feminist”, it is being used to once again claim that female=feminist. It’s a labeling game.
In ironic news, I mean more ironic that putting a big fat “F” on your own work,*

* does the school system even use “F” or failing marks anymore? Last I heard from a teacher, even if the student DIDNT turn the assignment in, the minimum point grade that could be given was a 50%!!!!! They are also allowed to retake ANY test .

Transphobic bigots!
Robert Franklin of the NPO continued his demolition of Wilcox this week:
https://nationalparentsorganization.org/blog/23322-brad-wilcox-read-your-own-organization-s-website
Using the criteria in the BBC article, the following films qualify but will probably not be adopted for the list because of their “problematic” subject matter or some other sin which SJW’s cannot tolerate:
Zero Dark Thirty (woman director, woman protagonist, women have scenes that meet Bechdel test, but throws shade at Bin Laden)
The Birdcage (written by Elaine May for Mike Nichols to direct) (it’s gay themed, but it’s about gay men, so double-plus-ungood)
We Have To Talk About Kevin (psychopathic killer teenager tortures mother. woman writer, woman director)
American Psycho (woman director) (all about the menz)
Rabbit Test (woman director Joan Rivers, slapdash comedy about male pregnancy)
Strange Days (same woman director as Zero Dark Thirty, she co-wrote, dark tale about VR sex)
That’ll do for starters.
I had always found the IMDb a very useful site, however, I have been concerned with two recent changes thereto: the above, mentioned F rating, and a few days ago the deleting of their endlessly fascinating message boards. A lot of people put a lot of time and trouble into their contents – now vanished. The claim and justification for their ending was that Trolls abused them but I never noticed that so IMDb is now essentially the same as Wiki having caved into what I assume was SJW pressure.
Far too many classification symbols. Why not revert to the three that were used in my youth: U, A and X. I knew exactly what they meant but the odd thing is that now the X films which than appealed so much seem predictable but the stuff that the sleeping censor let through for U certificate at times boggles my mind. I propose two new symbols: N for Nazi and P for Paedo, thus any film with Nazis gets an N and any film with lots of children gets a P: The Sound of Music (a U cert film of course) thus comes with the warnings N and P.
Laura,
That shopping cart would also annoy me, since I would be paying for the crap in it, most of which is not healthy in the slightest.
Too many people get benefits today at the cost of others. That is a serious problem and will lead to other issues in the future, likely the near future the way things are looking.
IMDb has introduced an F rating for films. That F for feminist.
Doesn’t matter. IMDB has abolished comments, making the site useless. But I’m all in favor of getting the Kendrick’s dreck rated F.
Hose_B
Emma Watson is being called ANTIFEMINIST for showing her underboob in the vanity fair spread. Talk about eating your own.
Shrug. Feminism is a branch of Marxism. Marxist revolutions always eat their own. I read some of the text and it’s the usual “how are you addressing pay equity by reducing yourself to a sex object?” kind of babble. Some purity test or other, probably from one or more women over 30.
Ms. Watson is currently 26 years old, so she enjoys the attention and has dismissed it, along the lines of “my boobs, my choice”. Again, shrug. We can check back with her in about, oh, 3 years or so…
Me thinks someone didn’t think through an “F rating”. Really? I guess that’s the level of thought these people have.
In other news, if you have a SmartTV, I’d look into making it “unSmart” or finding out how to remove the microphone.
Non-smart TVs tend to be cheaper too.
Last I heard from a teacher, even if the student DIDNT turn the assignment in, the minimum point grade that could be given was a 50%!!!!! They are also allowed to retake ANY test .
Impressive! Kudos to our kids’ teachers for going the extra mile to help prepare our kids for the real world. Now I have more confidence in our youths.
Seriously?
IMDb has introduced an F rating for films. That F for feminist.
Like most feminist-themed movies, movies with this rating will tank at the box office. What I suspect will eventually happen is that many other types of movies (e.g. romance comedies) will be co-opted into the F rating class to boost the truly F(ailure)-rated movies.
This is a covert joke, played on the feminists, by their critics at IMDb. You guys realize this, yes?
No one likes feminists. No one at all. Even Hollywood, as degenerate as it is, makes fun of them. Their inability to pick up on such stuff is truly weapons-grade autism.
Original Laura says: “I always wondered whose idea it was to reserve TWO spaces out of eleven for the handicapped at a sporting goods store.”
It’s the law. A certain percentage set-aside of parking spaces is required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA is yet another ratchet to the left enacted by Establishment “conservatism”, in this case Bush the Elder.

Heh. That list applies to feminism quite well. Projection from the female author.
Original Laura @ March 6, 2017 at 7:32 pm:

No. I am unable to believe that walking an extra fifty feet at the grocery store is that critical a difference and if so, that they cannot easily get assistance from an employee. Why, in California they can use the store’s free scooter.
Similarly, food stamps = MY tax money. Under no circumstances does my neighbor deserve it. He could have asked for help from friends, family and/or church but obviously chose to go with the “IRS gun to my head” method… so, screw him.

http://www.cracked.com/blog/how-mens-rights-activists-use-cult-tactics-its-members/
A good find Heidi. Thanks for that.
A problem with the article, based on someone who knows cults:
-The Red Pill / Mens Rights Activists (RPMRAs) – doesn’t have any members.Cults have members to exploit, usually financially and through free labor. None of that is happening here.
-RPMRAs do not actively recruit members. Men go to the Internet while asking themselves, ”Am I the only one with a psychotic woman in my life?”, and find like-minded men with the exact same problems.
-RPMRA does not have a leader or a structure. There is no L Ron Hubbard, no Joseph Smith, no Charles Taze Russell, no Mohammed, whose laws have to be obeyed at the point of excommunication or execution.
-There is no central doctrine. MRAs represent a broad church of views impossible to assemble under a single umbrella. There are PUAs, there are Christians, there are MGTOWs. There are Married Red Pill (probably most of us on this Blog). Everyone is tolerated.Their one coalescing philosophy is the exposure of and discussion about, abherrant, and abhorrent behavior of women.
-Cults always have ex-members that are lucid about the cult’s teachings. The quoted ”Ex Red Pill” only seemed disenchanted because RPMRA didn’t teach him how to get laid more and obviously it didn’t work for him. Anyone familiar with Dalrock, Rollo’s Rational Male, or any other site on the Roll here would tell you this is at best a shallow analysis. RPMRA is about far more than that – it’s about men defining themselves as men, in the way they want, without the influence of women.

Spike, all good points, but don’t ever bother rolling them out to a feminist such as the writer of the Cracked piece. Logic and reason do not work on people wrapped up in emoting.
Just point at them, laugh, and if they are women ask “Do you like cats?”, that is enough.

Point taken AR. Pearls before swine.
A few thoughts on the Cracked article since the author tries to force the square peg of RP/MRA into the round hole of Phil Zimbardos work on cults and cult-like behavior.
Zimbardo was an adjunct professor at my graduate school and I am friends with one of his protégés who has taken his work in some interesting new directions. These folks are tight with other sociologists like Haidt and Putnam.
Phil Zimbardo stumbled across some very dark truths about human nature in his Stanford prison experiment and the field is eternally grateful. Before that, Milgrim.
However, he has a hammer, and everything looks like a nail. Spike has pointed out upthread that some of the most important traits of a cult are simply not present in this case, and it is different enough to be significant.
I think I might take a swipe at it in a post at my site, since I do have some specific training and experience in the sub-specialty. (Social psychology).
Spike, more like “don’t wrestle with a pig”.
Scott, bear in mind that women project. All of them project sometimes, and some (feminists) project all the time. So when a feminist points the “cult” finger at men, you know what she’s doing? Projecting. Spike makes some really cogent points that could work with a lurker or a bystander. But they won’t work with feminists, because feminists won’t pay any attention to what a “cultist” like Spike is saying.
Femism has been a cult in some form for decades, read Shulamith Firestone’s Dialectic of Sex or more tediously the scribblings of Andrea Dworkin / Katharine MacKinnon for examples. So of course young 3rd stage feminists will screech “Cult!” about the androsphere, because that’s what we look like in her Fun House mirror vision.
Hey, did you know MRA is a cult?
We have discussed at length how vastly off-base accusations are usually projection on the part of the accuser. For ‘feminists’, everything they say is projection.
I actually wish MRAs *were* a cult, since then they would at least do activism and recruitment. At present, they do little to no activism.
craig: The ADA is yet another ratchet to the left enacted by Establishment “conservatism”, in this case Bush the Elder.
I remember Bush saying that the ADA was his proudest achievement as president.
Likewise, Establishment Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger said that his proudest achievement as California’s governor was promoting legislation to fight global warming.
I’d voted for both Bush and Schwarzenegger. I’ve spent a lifetime voting for “conservative” candidates, only to watch them brag about their liberal policies.
That is why I no longer consider myself to be a conservative RPL. I tend to use the label Alt-West now, though I will live with Alt-Right and let the haters do their hating because of other idiots who use that term.

That “now, you listen here, mister!” Nanny pose statue is just another hint we are approaching Peak Feminism.
…the chauffeur leader approach…
That’s hilarious! Thanks for the laugh.
Feminism peaked some years ago. Now it is in decline. Men are awake to its insidious effects and are pushing back. Even women are reluctant to identify as feminists. Younger women are rejecting the feminist doctrine. It’s getting harder to maintain the status quo. Like Frodo’s ring as he got closer to Mount Doom, the weight of feminism is getting heavier and more unbearable. The feminists will have to discard their ring of destructive ideologies, or perish with it the same way Gollum did.
I wish someone would erect a parody statue, depicting that bull goring that little girl to death. Maybe with her mother running off, screaming for a man to save her ass.
There were some Trump parody statues erected last year. But I guess there aren’t as many conservative sculptors.
Of course, if anyone did erect such a parody statue, it might violate anti-hate laws.
Women are ecstatic. But really, how often do you see little girls facing off charging bulls in real life? More femme fantasy.

First off, AR, I agree with you about that. But nothing is ever about just one thing, and there’s an important point about all this that, while it may be obvious to everyone here, does not seem to have been explicitly made by anyone up-thread. It’s this: all the screeching, and posturing, and even the self-mutilation, are attempts to get attention. More specifically, they are (cough) adult female attempts to get adult male attention.
Really, that’s it. Can’t get attention by doing this? Then do that? Et Cetera. The instinctual need to get male attention comes first, because that’s the channel — the projecting (or anything else, from harridan-like tirades to sexual IOIs to whatever), is the signal. But the channel-seeking is, IMHO, the more fundamental, indeed primary, female behavior here.
And MGTOW, is about responding to requests/demands for such attention by, not so much saying “no” [for that would be a granting of attention], as ignoring them by just ghosting away. “Worse”, we don’t even care if doing this “works” as a strategy. We’re gone. Done.
Give me a call when the no-fault divorce laws have been repealed. But until then, STFU & GTFO.
“Hey, did you know MRA is a cult?”
Well, in no way disputing the take-downs of this BS by various commenters up-thread, let’s just grant that for the purpose of argument.
Okay, so: is MGTOW a “cult”?
I would guess off-hand that by now (Spot the Trend), in 2017, that there are at least hundreds of thousands if not millions of men 20-60 who are MGTOW and have never even seen the letters “MGTOW” together like that.
How can something that literally is no and has no organization, be a “cult”?
It’s not a “movement” in the sense the Marxists and Feminists use the word: it’s a movement like an ebbing tide. Or maybe an evaporating lake.
So, what might be the Cracked article’s author’s take on that?
You know what? I do not care.

Statue of Courageous Girl Faces Wall Street Bull, shared by RPL @ 6:52 pm, March 8, 2017.
First of all, thanks for that, RPL.
Secondly: do these morons have any understanding of iconography at-effing-all?
The Wall Street Bull represents prosperity, a rising market, optimism, and success.
True though it may be, do these idiots really want to so obviously broadcast that Feminism is about opposition to prosperity, optimism and success? WTF? Really? And about inculcating these attitudes in the young?
And the girl’s age does matter, symbolically. Consider: what message would be sent to the viewing public, if instead of a young girl “standing up to the Wall Street Bull”, it was a post-Wall woman in a pussy-hat, wearing an ugly torn T-shirt and sweatpants, and surrounded by her fifteen cats?
To whomever installed this statue add-on — Dudes: do you have the least idea? At all? Even in faint chemical traces? Even just a single nano-particle?
Thirdly, while we’re on the topic of honesty and comprehension in the matter of iconography,
shouldn’t the nose-ring be in the little girl’s nose, and not the bull’s?
Fourthly, notice again that this is feminist marking of male territory. I mean, why put it there if that isn’t what it is? And so: why, given the supposed overt message of Female Empowerment, do they acknowledge by this artistic stupidity, that THE ENTIRE ECONOMY, which is what the bull is supposed to represent here, is in fact MALE territory? Is that what they wanted the viewer to understand?
I imagine whatever crop of morons approved this artistic symbolism thought that they were “virtue signalling”. What they are really signalling is that they have no clue whatever about what symbols mean.
I’m half-way tempted to hope that the intrusive little girl (asking for attention, b.t.w.: else why place oneself in the line-of-sight of the “male” bull?) is left there permanently, bolted into place with a 400,000 volt electric fence to protect it from theft and vandalism.
Because, this installation is not at all “subversive” of the message of the Wall Street Bull: for all the reasons I enumerate above (and probably others you guys will spot), it is deeply, deeply subversive of the whole feminist message.
“Signal” away, morons.
I pledge 500 bucks to whoever erects (little pun there) a lifesize Marc Driscoll statue in public, in Seattle. Figure does not have to be nude, but needs to be dressed in lingerie, a french maid outfit, or something similarly humiliating.

The Matt Walsh article follows the cowardly cuckservative pattern of doubling down. Make increasingly weak arguments and ever-weaker leaps of logic. The fact that they are doubling down so furiously is a sign of progress.
Dalrock identified an important detail – they are still driven by greed, rather than fear. I would not have noticed this difference (probably no one in the world other than Dalrock would have). I think the day the greed shifts to fear (which is not far off) is a day we should uncork some champagne.
The primary purpose of a cuckservative is to :
a) work hard to ensure leftists become more powerful than they ever could have been on their own.
b) serve as leading indicators of cultural turning points. Cuckservatives doubling down on ‘feminism’ only ensures a collapse of the pumps keeping that ideology running sooner.
Isn’t Matt Walsh the faggot who praised female narcissism and mooching with a ‘You Go Girl!’ affirmation of approval?
Cuckservatives are getting more absurd by the day.
Anon:
Matt Walsh’s article contains this gem:
”About 25 percent of married Christian women have husbands who won’t go to church with them, which doesn’t account for the vast majority of Christian families who have no prayer life or church life at all.”
-That 25% of ”Christian” women wanted to marry non-Christian men when undoubtedly they were available. They wanted to either marry a former bad boy to prove that ”Love” exists, or else married for money and security. Either way, they wanted ”Christian-lite”, so they got it.
A woman’s right to choose is sacrosanct due to the Feminine Imperative. Her path to marriage is sacred. So why is Walsh complaining to (rejected) Christian men about the behavior of women?
Spike,
This is why a man who partakes in Sunday Morning Nightclub is far more noble than the pastorbators. Sunday Morning Nightclub is ethically superior.
Matt Walsh is simply parroting the ubiquitous preamble to sermons on male headship that triumphantly end with the pastor saying, “Now what women would NOT want to follow a man like that?”
Feminism peaked some years ago. Now it is in decline. Men are awake to its insidious effects and are pushing back. Even women are reluctant to identify as feminists.
No, that’s because they do not have to identify as feminists in order to get the benefits of feminism. The entire culture is utterly and thoroughly feminist today — the only reason a woman would identify as a feminist in this culture is because she really and truly hates men. All of the benefits of feminism are there for all women, regardless of whether they identify as feminist or not: no fault divorce with income-taxesque child support, abortion on demand, free alphas chasing without social consequence until 30, majority in colleges, more money before 30, etc etc etc. It’s grrlworld out there right now, so they don’t need to say they are feminist — just being mainstream makes you a serious feminist in 2017.

If only they would!
Novaseeker,
No, that’s because they do not have to identify as feminists in order to get the benefits of feminism.
Agree. I can’t believe how many men fall for that scam – a woman declares that ‘feminism’ is wrong, while still agreeing with 99% of it, and some allegedly red-pill man gets excited.
Novices still think the 47% of women who vote Republican are somehow against ‘feminism’. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Oscar,
Always remember that ‘male feminists’ are usually creepy predators in disguise. The number of examples of this is far too many to ignore the pattern….
One reason that female ‘feminists’ think all men are rapists is that the manginas who seek them out often actually are, giving them a distorted view of men.
Articles written by supposedly “conservative” guys like Walsh are why the marriage/family crisis is not going to get better in our lifetimes.
He peppers too much of what starts off as sounding like reasonable stuff with pedestalizing and uncalled for equivocation. For example: “Now, if I had said that women should “put their foot down” in opposing the destructive and counter productive behavior of their husbands (which they should, of course), nobody would be offended.” No, they shouldn’t. There is no wifely analog to “putting your foot down” in heiracrical marriage.
But do you see what he did there? He very cleverly positions himself as the voice of sanity in the face of ogrish men “putting their foot down” and lording over their wives with unreasonable demands and then sneaks in a bullshit egalitarian argument, and ultimately puts ALL THE BLAME for our family crisis on men. He does this to virtue signal entirely to his female audience. If you read through the comments its mostly woman fawning all over him patting him on the head for being a real man. Not bad, Matt, but too many men are on to this baloney now. You are not going to shame men into fixing what feminism broke.
Now, the response will be “well, I know a guy who beat his wife and abandoned his children!” So? Then he was either not a Christian, or not serious about marriage. Off with him. Let that story be a lesson to all singles looking for a spouse to do a better job of vetting their future beloved. And lets take care of women who are truly in this situation. But it is not the norm, by a long shot.
Next: “Well, we’ve had several decades now of female-led homes; homes where either the man is physically absent, forcing the woman to play both roles, or where the man is spiritually and emotionally absent, submitting to the wife in all things while he busies himself with porn and video games and whatever else.” Walsh fails to point out that the majority of that absenteeism is caused by women blowing up marriages and ejecting their husbands for frivolous reasons or having sex with men they are not married to and then wondering why they are abandoned. If a man sleeps with you without marrying you, it means he is not interested in being a dad. (Or at least not insofar as it means being your husband and part of an intact nuclear family with you).
Also, “spiritually and emotionally absent” are feminized ambiguous terms that can mean pretty much anything the wife doesn’t like about his leadership style. And thats exactly how they are used today. “He was emotionally unavailable” becomes the pretext for divorcing a hard working, provider, nice guy husband who the wife has become bored with. THATs what USUALLY happens.
Here, Again: “I think she is a better person than me, despite my best efforts. ” Sigh. What a tool. A totally unaware, washed in blue-pill mangina who feels he must soften truth with this obsequious grovelling to all the women who read his stuff.
Following up: “60 percent of churchgoers are female.” AGAIN, Matt–this is because a huge number of men who would NORMALLY BE GOING TO CHURCH with their intact families have been jettisoned from those families for stupid reasons like being “emotionally unavailable.”
And it goes on and on through the article. The guy is playing my LEAST favorite game: Its called “The only REAL man in he room.” The entire article is just another way of saying “women would follow their husbands if they would just lead the way I do.” No, Matt. They are just supposed to follow.
The likes of Matt Walsh will never really confront women on their part in crumbling of society. That means they will stop reading his articles, and then he will have to find a real job. And he holds men accountable for the low hanging fruit–too easy, Matt.
Anon,
You make a good point, and it parallels the observation that women who claim that “all men are assholes” think that way because all the men they date are assholes.
From the Matt Walsh article:
“But if I had to narrow it down and be more specific, I’d say these are five ways (maybe not the five ways) that we men can “man up” and be leaders in our homes, and it’s in these five ways that many men have, sadly, failed.
“1. We should never expect more from our wives and our children than we expect from ourselves.”
Can we expect more from our wives than from our dogs? Most husbands would die happy if, like Rover, Wifey was happy to see him come home and panted for a belly rub.
“2. We should demonstrate moral courage.”
By blaming husbands for having disobedient wives.
“3. We should go to church and pray with our families.”
Put down that divorce lawyer, Barbie, or I’ll read five chapters of Ezra under the priest’s supervision!
“4. We should get plenty of exercise.”
Spanking. Legalize it.
“5. We should die.”
YOU FIRST!!!!
Feminism is, I am afraid, not merely alive but getting worse. It so happened that for International Women’s Day I did not speak to a female all day – it just worked that way – nor did I listen to the BBC’s Third Programme and the reason for that was that for twenty-four hours non-stop they played nothing but music written by women which is to say that the criteria for performance was not based on an artistic judgement but on a criteria as surely irrelevant as were the criteria to have been music only by the left-handed or the colour-blind. They were praising their own efforts on their Facebook page but I rather spoiled their celebrations by commenting there to the effect that what they did may look like support for women but in fact is a backhanded compliment for the celebration takes special pleading to dislodge the likes of Bach, all the other composers whose surname also begins with B and that is just the Bs for even one day a year. It merely highlighted (as TFH would have said) the obvious inferiority (as well as paucity) of female compositions for I am sure they played exactly the same music last year. Outside lyric songs and short orchestral pieces female composers appear to be out of their depths – depths which they do not attempt to plumb; they have neither the vision nor the drive to scale the heights.
It will of course be suggested that men have deliberately kept female composers down and that may be the case though I cannot help but notice that where women are concerned men (whilst happily shafting other men) bend over backwards and presumably always did so but if men can keep women down that would undermine the feminist hypothesis of female equality let alone the equally common assertions of superiority. I would ask anyone who were to posit the theory of female composition equality what evidence would satisfy him of female inability to perform (consistently and at all) at the highest level. To ask the question is of course to answer it for to the equality theorist no such evidence can exist.
GunnerQ quoting Little Matty Walsh:
“1. We should never expect more from our wives and our children than we expect from ourselves.”
Ok. Let’s look at this in a very simple way. Walsh has at least one child. Did he get pregnant, carry the child to term, and give birth? Or did he expect more from his wife than from himself? Or is he just really stupid and not capable of thinking through what his own words clearly say?
Or we could discuss the concept of “obey”. But, nah, why bother? These tradcon White Knights are like paper mache’, it takes no effort to demolish them. Unlike a pinata, there’s never anything inside.
“they do not have to identify as feminists in order to get the benefits of feminism. The entire culture is utterly and thoroughly feminist today ”
Right. We’ve covered this before, but it does bear repeating.
The culture is feminism, and feminism is the culture. They are now one and the same. Every day, every human being who interacts in any way with the world is interacting with feminists and a feminist way of life. All the things mentioned: No fault divorce and punitive child support, abortion on demand, consequence free alpha chasing until 30, etc. – why OF COURSE women can and should have these things. It is literally antithetical to the American way of life to suggest otherwise.
And to oppose these things, even to suggest these things might be detrimental, is viewed not only as unreasonable and illogical, but EVIL. Today, the vast majority of people cannot fathom how anyone could oppose no fault divorce, premarital sex, abortion, etc. No reasonable person could possibly oppose these things. No reasonable person could possibly believe that abortion, premarital sex and no fault divorce don’t help families or individuals. Even major Prot denominations hold to these beliefs. Why, to them it’s self evident.
No fault divorce: We can’t make people stay in “bad” marriages. Anyone who opposes no fault divorce is cruel, heartless and mean-spirited.
Punitive child support: It’s FOR THE CHILDREN, you ogre. Anyone who questions this obviously hates children.
Abortion on demand: Needs to be safe, legal and “rare”. Even Christians hold to this belief. Anyone who opposes abortion is cruel, heartless, mean-spirited, and hates women.
Alpha chasing: We can’t legislate morality. There’s nothing wrong with having premarital sex. (Even many Christians believe this.) Even if premarital sex creates problems for people, it’s nothing they can’t handle, and we can’t stop them from doing it anyway. Anyone who says premarital sex is bad or wrong is a pinch faced hypocritical moralist, hates women, and hates sex. Any man who opposes premarital sex is obviously a small dicked loser who can’t get laid.
Just to pile on to what Deti wrote:
The culture is feminism, and feminism is the culture.
Two points:
First: Anyone who is not actively rejecting feminism is passively accepting it, because we are immersed in feminism. I’ve said this before a time or three and will continue to say it, because it is true.
Second: The pervasiveness of feminism enables conservative, churchgoing feminists to say words like “I’m not a feminist! I oppose lesbian weddings and abortion!” while enjoying special Title IX privileges, special Duluth Wheel privileges, special Affirmative Action privileges, special support from White Knights who are always ready to cover up bad bahavior by women, etc.
Their words are not congruent with their actions. But words are often enough to fool enough men enough of the time.
The exception is when the wife’s belly, while she lay supine, can be rubbed as husband remains standing.
Man comes thru door after work and sees the above described wife…..”Oh no no, nah nah nah nah. You….Rover….g’ over here (sits and slaps his leg), I’ll rub your belly with pleasure”
Church has become the best covert pod in which feminist transmogrification occurs
I was wondering … does anyone these days, when we struggle with stagnant incomes and rising expenses, actually purchase name brand paper towels? We buy the generic ones at Sam’s Club and they are a lot cheaper than any of the overpriced name brand towels.
Note the use of the word “gender” a word that has lost all meaning. Strength has no “gender” but it does have a sex, male. Males are stronger then females by nature (including gender bending ones like old Bruce) it is therefore a masculine trait. This gender ideology is really the culmination of feminist insanity if there was ever a clearer example of what a blackhole feminism is.
@evefreys
males are stronger than females, but machines are stronger than males, and government is stronger than machines. which is why they see little need on the surface for men right now.
@opus, i agree its getting worse, way worse, and it not even showing any signs of slowing down their progress. its frightening. where are we going to be in 50 years ?? its insanity gone mad.
Dalrock says we are at the greed phase of the bubble, i unfortunately have to agree, i wish we had topped out and on the road to recovery, but no.
in public the thought, even just the “thought” of impeding the current exponential rate of feminist progress is abhorrent to pretty much all institutions, governments and the media.
full scale abandonment of God’s plan in how to construct a healthy and sustainable society is in unremitting progress, to men it just seems like the rejection of men, but its really rejection of God and his plan for life.
when you reject God, he will reject you.
to summarise the last 3 generations of the west, we beat fascism, nazism, communism, and lost to feminism.
the members of a man’s own household have been where the enemy took hold.
