Scared straight.

Reader BillyS linked to My Sex Junk, a video by Social Justice Warrior Bill Nye that is making the rounds.  The video is aimed at teenagers and is intended to make sexual deviancy of all kinds “cool”.  But instead of being cool the video gives off a terribly creepy vibe.  Picture being a teenager and having your parents don short-shorts and perform a hip-gyrating musical number on the joys of pornography, masturbation, gay sex, and straight sex for the kids of the neighborhood, and you have a sense of just how creepy and uncool the video is.  In short, the video makes deviancy gay.

As the Daily Caller explains in Viewers Disturbed By Bill Nye’s Video on Transgenderism:

“My Sex Junk,” published on YouTube Sunday, features actress Rachel Bloom singing a song about transgenders, gay sex, and how sexuality is a fluid concept. The clip comes from an episode of Bill Nye’s show “Bill Nye Saves The World.”

“Sexuality’s a spectrum, everyone is on it. Even you might like it if you sit up on it,” Bloom sings on stage. “Drag king, drag queen just do what feels right.”

“This world of ours is so full of choice. But must I choose between only John or Joyce? Are my options only hard or moist? My vagina has its own voice,”

The Daily Caller noted that the video was not well received on Youtube:

The video hasn’t performed well on YouTube. It has received nearly 4,000 dislikes and only 79 likes. The clip seemed to disturb many YouTube commenters.

The Daily Caller article was published on Monday morning, and since then the youtube numbers have only gotten worse.  Now the video has over 42,500 dislikes and only 661 likes.

The UK’s Independent agrees:  Bill Nye Saves the World jumps the shark with cringeworthy ‘My Sex Junk’ skit

It’s a painful couple of minutes that limps its way to punchlines and sees Nye pretend to ‘drop the bass’.

First time I saw one of Nye’s videos I thought it was a parody. Sort of “Mr. Wizard meets Pee Wee’s Playhouse”. Frankly this one doesn’t surprise me, although it’s going to be a shock for some of my younger relatives.

I guess I was right when I was a kid to prefer Beakman’s World. At least he hasn’t tried to sell me on perversion (as far as I know).

I saw this linked elsewhere. I got about 3-4 seconds into it before I went back and checked to see if this was real, if that was actually Bill Nye and a real show. I couldn’t believe that this was something they thought would appeal to anyone. I figured a new Bill Nye show would be all “I F-ing Love Science!” kind of stupidity but this is far, far worse than I imagined.

The good thing is that with even the small amount of pushback we’re starting to see, it makes this sort of insanity stand out more. There’s starting to be an alternative that will help people to see how crazy this all is. And we know the 2nd law, so most likely they’ll only get more crazy in desperation. As evil as it is, that gives me some hope that some part or the populace can be brought around.

  6. Also a Mr. Wizard fan here. He had a wholesome Mr. Rodgers vibe to him, and I felt more respected as his audience. In my opinion he also taught better. Ironically, all of this made him more entertaining than the creepy guy who stuck his assistant in a grubby mouse-suit.

The fact alone that he named his show “Bill Nye Saves The World” shows that he’s a nutcase.

“How are we going to explain this stuff to kids born 20-30 years from now?”

By calmly telling them that a large minority of the populace collectively lost their minds and that they should be grateful that the majority eventually fought back.

Also, pathetic that Netflix produces this joke of a show. I hope that they see the error of their ways and pull it. I won’t be holding my breath.

This brings to mind this one (that strikes me as bit of try-hard overall – the literal mention of what it’s about directly in the song title etc…, anyways it is quite noteworthy how both the protagonists are somehow ‘typical types’, so to say, the vibe they give out – a submissive beta cuck and an empowered bitch) :

Glad to see that someone else caught that as well. As bad as that whole song-and-dance number was, the real coup de grace came when the camera started cutting back to Bill fake-spinning a record at the DJ’s table and bobbing his head as if to signal to the audience that Dirty Grandpa still knows how to be “with it.”

I AM CERTAIN that they’re working on it — deviancy knows NO limits.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there are also plans for ‘the Bestiality channel’.
Our job is to be ready with the pitchforks and torches (and possibly tar and feathers) when those are proposed.

  23. Joni James says:

“Looking at that video, I’m quite surprised that it got through. He just ruined his brand. Doused it in gasoline and threw a match on it. He used to be seen as the approachable Mr. Wizard you could let your kids watch. Now he’s a skeezy perv pushing songs about buttstuff and powerbottoms to children. Was his agent really that coked out of xir brain that xhe allow this get past the brainstorming stage?”

The motherbitchin science cheerleaders don’t realize they’re f**king up their own message because of their inability to reach out to the public in a way that’s not immediately cringeworthy. Public interest in science is being killed by them, not Trump.

What a bunch of nerds, pervs, and flat-out clowns; a lab experiment gone wrong

  24. Spike says:

I was disturbed when I saw this video. How did it get to air? Where is the anti-pedo brigade when you need them most?
Bill Nye ”The Science Guy” once was famous for opposing biblical creation on scientific grounds. The ground has moved under him since, because he can’t deal with the more sophisticated arguments of John Lennox, Alester McGrath and William Lane Craig.
This video exposes him as the guy who opposes creation for the same reason every college / university undergraduate does: he wants sex and doesn’t want God activating that pesky conscience.
Psalm 14: 1 – ”The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good”

  25. Dave says:

My respect for “science” just dropped a few more notches after watching that. Living organisms mutilating their reproductive organs so they no longer function is “evolution”? How about that irreversible catastrophic climate change that’s always 5-10 years away?

Whatever government subsidizes gradually turns into a counterfeit imitation of itself. Thus science is no longer scientific, education is no longer educational, and medicine is practiced according to Medicare reimbursement tables.

Infogalactic answers this question thoroughly: it’s who Nye is. A few highlights:

Nye holds several United States patents, including one for ballet pointe shoes. (Nye admitted to dressing as a woman in the same interview. old.seattletimes.com/html/television/2002252736_nye26.html, hat tip Infogalactic)

In November 2010, Nye became the face of a new permanent exhibition at the Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland, California.

On February 28, 2014, Nye was a celebrity guest and interviewer at the White House Student Film Festival.

Since 2014, Nye has divided his time between the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles and the Chelsea district of Manhattan, though he has also owned a house on Mercer Island [Washington State].

On Earth Day 2015, Nye met with U.S. President Obama to visit the Everglades National Park in Florida and discuss climate change as well as science education.

There you go. A friend of rabid Marxists, millionaire TV celebrity and exclusive resident of liberal bubbles with more than normal interest in female clothing. That’s exactly who I would expect to celebrate sexual perversion.

Too right Splashman. Recently I tried Frank Turek’s acid test on my more skeptical atheistic colleagues:

”If Christianity were proven true, would you be a Christian?”

Inevitably it gets met with splutters, stutters and a great deal of anger. They are not honest (Psalm 14:1), and thus will not follow the logic of a scientific proof of the existence of God to it’s logical end.

  33. Just Saying says:

Wow… Just wow…. Bill Nye was never very good when it came to science, but I never thought his mistakes were that large nor that he had a particular agenda – till recently. He really has gone off the deep end with the SJW non-sense… It’s really time for him to retire…

  34. Bill Nye had a great theme song and made science fairly interesting to middle schoolers. Those middle school-aged children are now just adults and view him favorably. It’s let him have a career long after he probably shouldn’t have.

    But, seriously, great theme song.

  35. Opus says:

I am fairly sceptical over just about everything that science pushes as settled and have always found Science (which seems as counter-intuitive as the tenets of religion but more so) boring. The stuff that is forced on grade school children looks to me like a magic show. If science is so fascinating why is it that that the subject needs poster boys to enthuse the young. In England we have our equivalent of Bill Nye, a pretty-boy ex-pop star (whom I had never previously heard of) by the name of Brian Cox who when he is questioned by doubters merely waxes potty-mouthed.

I see that Nye is in favour of imprisoning those who doubt the reality of Global Warming. Jesuits and other Inquisitors must stand in awe.

Two thoughts. One, evolution has sunk in so deep that there are otherwise devout Christians who don’t believe God is the Creator of life. And two, it’s possible to be a decent man while rejecting Christ… but that man should not try to stand against the devil. Nye surrounded himself with evil while loudly rejecting the concept. Highway to Hell.

  45. Dave (original) says:

…it is my belief that every single person who promotes atheism is motivated… by the desire to quiet their conscience…

Very true. Same reason why those who want abortion strenuously argue that the fetus is just a blob of tissue, and not a person.

  46. Opus says:

Nye is also apparently in favour of criminalising people in the West who have too many children. I think I begin to understand how Christianity made such rapid inroads in the Roman empire. .

Evolution is more “Creation Myth” to a Utopian religion. They’re pantheistic in nature. They believe in the gods of Chance, Dumb Luck, I’m Awesome and I Deserve Better.

  54. Spike says:

When it comes to science, Progressives (who are actually regressives now) can rail all they want. The fact is and history proves it, that scientific progress was at its’ highest when the Western world had a Christian majority.
The Space Age, the Atomic Age, the Vaccine Age, the Agricultural Revolution including high-yield grain varieties as well as chemical and biological weed control (which HELP the environment!) as well as minimum and zero-tillage practices – all happened in the 1940s, 1950s and continued through to the 1990s where they suddenly petered out, along with the majority of 18-35 year olds who no longer attend church.
The reason isn’t so much that the majority of scientists were practicing Christians. Many were, most weren’t. The main point was that with a Christian core to the culture, most people had the right set of values. Thus, academic achievement happened because Dad was in the home. He encouraged kids to study. He embodied an example. He provided a positive counter balance to The Rebel Without A Cause.
The wrong set of values have been given monetary (and sexual!) weight in recent decades. Think if you were young: would you rather be a dry boring guy in a white lab coat, or would you be the sports jock with millions or the rapper with money flying around everywhere?

  55. I think the singer is the daughter of the famous Rabbi Bloom and a distant relative of Bill Nye himself.

The singer wants to be edgy. I don’t know edgy, but I know the youtube clips that the edgy kids watch:

    So edgy. Much transgression. Wow.

  56. Opus says:

    @Lost patrol

I like the way you put that.

It saddens me that even though as a small child when on a Sunday with my parents I would walk up (the hill) to Downe (which I thought very funny), Downe, once being home to Charles Darwin, his theory of evolution by way of natural selection does seem to me to have more holes than Swiss cheese.

  57. BillyS says:

Also note that “chance” and “time” are clearly put in place as “gods,” even though they will deny that. Put the name of another god and it will sound similar, though it will expose their worship so they will deny it.

  58. ys says:

    Youtube dumped the video…wonder why?
I would check in on it every couple of weeks just for the lolz on how much everyone hated it. I think, at my last check before it got dumped, it had more than 150,000 thumbs down, to 3,000 thumbs up. Glorious!
