It took losing whole fingernails at practice before Newport senior Jenna Martz found a coating as tough and innovative as she is on the football field.
The article exemplifies the dichotomy of feminist territory marking, with the competing objectives to:
- Be (like) one of the guys (experience manly pride)
- Mark all spaces as feminine (extinguish manly pride)
Martz wants to be treated like one of the guys, which means that other players can’t talk smack to her since that makes her feel like crying:
“… I just want to play football, man,” Martz said, not wanting to cry then or now in reliving the moment. “Can’t we just hit like that? If I get knocked down, I’m going to get back up. But if you’re going to be talking smack like that, what is the point?”
Some of the incidences were anonymously reported to Newport administration. Those players are no longer on the team…
In addition to having any boys who talk smack kicked off the team, a bit of chivalry makes sure she is treated like a lady:
Now, if people start targeting me or they say something, I just tell my teammates and either they help me handle it, or they go handle it. Because you just don’t let that happen to a teammate — whether they’re a girl or boy.”

“It was a big change for everybody and a learning experience,” Martz said. “We have some signs in the locker room that say, ‘I leave a place a better player, a better man,’ and I usually shrug it off, but with other things the staff says ‘person’ or ‘men and women.’ I don’t necessarily go out of my way to change it, but just my presence and having them know that it’s important to me, they change it and they talk about it to make it all-inclusive.”

There are several takeaway lessons from this. One is that men should not invest another ounce of energy, time, effort or money into any traditionally male institution that allows girls to come in and change the dynamic for their benefit. By doing so they are saying they don’t respect the males in the group and will hold them to higher and separate standards.
If you can’t successfully prevent the convergence, pick up and go. If enough do so, and at the same time, then the institution falls apart.

My husband is a former football player and coach, and he’s been saying for the last few years that the “liberal fruitcakes” want to destroy football. They want to bring down an institution that’s just for physically strong masculine men and the people who enjoy watching their game. Now that the “guys from the art club” as he calls them can throw around a little political power (by teaming up with feminists), this is their chance. Maybe it’s not such a far-fetched thought after all. But most feminine women are still going to be more attracted by the game-winning touchdown than the delicate brushstrokes.

She might have the same odds of marrying a guy as her trans brother (soon to be “sister”). A harsh truths that nobody will tell her.
This is a detail seldom mentioned in the euphoria about modern girls’ sports teams: the girl’s bulk up. Heavy bodies, lotsa weight. Probably not going to work well for them as adults. Bad for their self-esteem. Disastrous for their dating. Nobody will care about their high school sports career.
Weight might be, or soon become, a larger factor in reducing marriage rates than THOT-dom.

When I was in high school football, over 30 years ago, we had two girls announce they wanted to be on the team. The coach allowed them to dress out and join the team on the field, and then go through the same full contact drills as everyone else. Neither one showed up for day two, and no more girls came out for the team that year or the next two (I have no idea after that).

The article reminds me why I stopped reading large newspapers. It’s all feminist indoctrination and cheerleading. When a girl inevitably gets hurt playing against guys twice her size and strength the media will blame the patriarchy or some such nonsense.
Ok, so I read the article, then followed up with the Washington state power lifting records for high school girls.
Ms. Martz is 5’3″ and weighs 148 lbs. She bench presses 130, squats 240 and dead lifts 275 (all official state meet numbers). For a teenage girl the lifts are impressive.
At her school she plays on the defensive line. Not cornerback or running back or receiver… defensive end.
She does not even bench press her own body weight… a male athlete her age would be laughed out of the gym. I know a young man locally who is a high school senior, plays defensive end, as was recently offered a scholarship to play at a small college. He stands 6′ even, weighs 210, benches over 350 and squats over 600. If this young man collides with a girl like Ms. Martz, what exactly will happen?
She is facing off against young men a full foot taller than herself and at least 100 pounds heavier. This is insane. Sooner or later she is going to be up against a tackle who doesn’t care that she’s a girl and actually hits her. Which of her parents will id the body?
For another comparison, there is also a male competition at 148 pounds in Washington State high school power lifting. The winner in this category squatted 360, bench pressed 270, and dead lifted 420, for a total of 1050, compared to Ms. Martz total of 645. This means Ms. Martz is only 61.4% as strong as a male athlete her own size (and most are much larger). Even worse, she only has 48% of the upper body strength of a male athlete her own size. A more typical lineman will be around 220 lbs. The Washington State boys champion power lifter at 220 squatted 550, bench pressed 280 (which seems light at this weight) and dead lifted 515 for a total of 1345. So a lineman Ms. Martz might be reasonably be expected to go up against has 209% over her total body strength, 215 % of her upper body strength, and 149% of her mass. He will also have greater bone density and aerobic capacity. Encouraging Ms. Martz to repeatedly attack someone like this (which is the job description of a defensive end) is cruel to the point of psycopathy.
Male or female, putting someone 5’3″ onto a football field is asking for serious injury. Since women injure quicker, this begs this is disaster waiting to happen.
That disaster needs to happen –to several foolish young girls– if this insanity is ever to end.
Martz said that she just wanted to play football. Let her play in the lingerie league.

This means Ms. Martz is only 61.4% as strong as a male athlete her own size (and most are much larger).
Actually given the integral strength difference between men and women, that’s she’s 60% as strong as a competitive male power lifter of her age and height is very good. She really is exceptionally strong for a girl of her age and height.
But still…. the boys on the other team are still all going to be heavier, faster and much stronger than her. Does she realize they would all be holding back from their normal play style to avoid seriously injuring her? Or is she so completely delusional that she doesn’t even realize that, and thinks she is truly competitive with her male teammates?

Yep. Which is why, whenever I’ve heard of these cases, the other team will always forfeit the game. And rightly so. The only exceptions tend to be when the girl is strictly a kicker…but even that is risky.

The other player would have been lightly tackling her, but she happened to fall onto something which concentrated the impact on her spleen. This sort of accident could happen to a male player too, but the chance of them damaging their spleen would be reduced by their greater upper body strength and mass.
Two principles of chivalry are “keep women out of harm” and “do whatever women want”. What if a girl or woman wants to do an activity which is fundamentally dangerous? Then you neuter that activity. But as this example shows that doesn’t really work with American football. It certainly doesn’t work with war.

I live in this region. Brooklyn Park is one of the roughest areas in the U.S. I’d think twice about putting my son in a game against them, much less my daughter. Driving through Brooklyn Park can be hazardous. I couldn’t even imagine facing a teenage football player from there head-on. The girl is lucky that was her only injury and she’s not in a Stephen Hawking-styled wheelchair.

This happened across the board in workplaces between 1975 and ~2000. When it comes to sports like football, I can see the argument being made, and it having some resonance with parents due to the concussion issue and related concerns, which are already depressing participation in the sport overall among UMC kids. I honestly doubt football will persist in its current form — women’s participation will have something to do with it, parents reluctance will also have something to do with it, and it will either morph into something that is less violent or it will become strictly a more lower class activity.

So many things converge here. Not the least of which is Americans (and “westerners” in general) appetite for risk, which has plummeted to exactly zero.
Add that zero appetite to “my personal experiences/someone I know/some situation I am aware of presents itself as the exception to all rules about a thing” and all activities that include a risk/reward matrix become sterile and boring.
When I was a teenager, I couldn’t wait to get my license and my truck. The places I went, (way farther than I was permitted to by my parents) were worth the risk of getting in trouble. I would think “man if I get in a accident, or my truck breaks down, and I have to call my parents for help, I’m screwed.’
I LOVED that feeling.
All of the things that could have gone wrong with moving my entire family out here, (there were a lot of things) when I had a perfectly nice home, nice life, stable employment, etc made me feel alive. Just like that teenager.

If I remember correctly from the first time this story was posted, the girl was a kicker, and that’s it. So most likely benched except for field goals, to avoid risk.
When I was in high school there was a guy (pastor’s son) who played on the field hockey team. He wasn’t an effeminate guy, I think he was just trying to show how ridiculous the sex integration was becoming. I think it would be hilarious if all the football guys quit and played field hockey, see how the girls liked it!

I’ll let an Irish lurker here set me straight if I’m wrong, but it would seem that not all that many years ago, a feral basket case like Sinead would have wound up a permanent resident of one of Ireland’s notorious Magdalene Asylums. Dang it, now I’m in a bad mood. Dilemma in reading Dalrock: top notch writing on society and western human condition versus downright discouraging much of the time.
Male spaces are increasingly an anachronism in the West. Wrestling, racing, infantry, football, scouting, fraternities, seminaries, etc. We could put so many things on this list it’s almost ad infinitum at this point…
Anywhere practical barriers remain in certain pro sports where the money still talks louder than the signalling, women are nevertheless given access to locker rooms, sideline reporting, officiating, etc.
It reminds me of the discussions here about cross dressing, which almost no longer exists as an actual concept, at least insofar as what women choose to wear. Male spaces have taken up the same pattern.

Well, ”The Wall” isn’t just about women’s age. It’s about stupid soft headed feminine and feminist policies as well, isn’t it?
Pure gold: In order to increase the size of it’s labor force and tax base, Sweden needs workers. The current population of workers – the ones who built Sweden to become the world’s 7th largest economy before liberals screwed it up – are aging fast and can’t be replaced by ”new Swedes” who have barely a primary-school level of education but must produce advanced products in the economy to be competitive. They are useless and a net drain on the State, not an asset.
Swedish women are stuck with the conundrum: They have to make the new generation of workers the old-fashioned way, you know, through sex with a man and raising them with good values through motherhood, or lose their living standards completely.

One of the things that makes my blood boil to the point of stroking out is the absolutely unrivaled naive cluelessness of the typical American Christian. It’s as if Jesus never issued His warning to be “wise as serpents but gentle as doves.” The American evangelical Christian Bible apparently reads “spineless as jellyfish and stupid as turkeys.”

Some Swedish Facebook friend on mine shared with me that majority of men who had kids in Sweden had them with Vietnamese or that kind of women, then divorced them, because the Swedish father always has custody over a foreign mother.

I’m no European historian but if I ventured to say that 1985 Sweden was among the greatest nations in world history would anyone really argue? I don’t mean in terms of power of course, or innovation etc, but just in terms of how well things were going. The cleanliness, education, crime rate, health, energy, good habits, civility, sophistication, literacy, quality of life etc. In comes the matriarchy and it only took about one generation of grrrll power to absolutely destroy a nearly flawless nation. All they had to do was simply leave things alone, let the men continue to excel as engineers, raise good kids. Just steady as she goes, but, naw. Had to have your hypergamy lead you off the rails into clown world. The tall, Brad Pitt clone engineers of Sweden weren’t good enough for them! They couldn’t stand that their hypergamy was sated. I always thought subsequently this as spectacular an instance of getting it wrong as could have been and in my mysogyny I formed the view that women were prone to getting it more spectacularly wrong than men.

I am always suspicious of the claims of Muslim rape. It seems to me to be the acceptable face of hatred of Islam (and its people) whilst white-washing female slutdom – a rare case of women exceeding Muslims in victim points. Recently, where I am, a Pakistani was convicted of the rape of four English women in their homes. The report naturally was short on the kind of detail that would have interested me. Was this real-rape or was it date-rape? Was it, I wondered, a case of cultural misunderstanding where the man thought that he had been given very green lights and where in his culture such green lighting required for the sake of his respect as a man to act accordingly? Did these women know each other and had they collaborated in their approaches to the police?
