Update: Amazon has reinstated Castalia House ebooks.
Thank you all for your support. This is not a fight we wanted or sought, and we’re pleased to be able to put it behind us. I’ll be discussing the matter on the Darkstream. And if you want to know what all the fuss was all about, you can now buy CORROSION: The Corroding Empire, Book One, at Arkhaven. It’s actually a good SF novel, a lot better than the book it was originally published to parody.
————————————————————————————————–
Readers may recall last year when Christian comic artist Will Caligan was fired after not toeing the transgender line. In response, Vox Day and Castalia House rallied around Caligan and raised funds to get him working again. See my previous posts Help for a Christian brother and Not tired of the winning for details.
Now the SJWs are swarming on Castalia house:
You may have noticed that you can’t find any Castalia House ebooks on Amazon right now. That’s because Amazon shut down our KDP account on the basis of a wildly spurious claim of publishing material to which we do not have the necessary rights. We happen to have some VERY bad news for them on that subject….
The book in question? You guessed it. Corrosion: The Collapsing Empire again. This is the second attack on that book this month, as ten days ago, they pulled the book itself down for the sixth or seventh time due to claims that it was “misleading”.
If you are interested in helping out, there are two ways Vox says you can assist (emphasis mine):
Of course, this is precisely why we established the Arkhaven and Catalia Direct stores, because we knew better than to trust Amazon’s assurances that it would keep its SJWs under control. If you want to show support for Castalia and its authors, you can either write to Amazon and complain about this unwarranted action or pick up a print, ebook, or audiobook from one of our direct stores.
This is precisely why it is so important to a) build your own platforms and b) support the alternative platforms. This isn’t just about Castalia House because the same thing can be done overnight to any author or independent publisher who utilizes KDP.
From a followup post by Vox, it sounds like there is internal confusion at Amazon as to what is going on.
I’ve been receiving a number of these exchanges today. Be sure to use the customer service chat so you can catch them lying on the record. Go ahead and email them to us, these exchanges could prove useful if Amazon is inclined to get defensive and stonewall instead of simply rectifying the situation.
Whatever you might personally think about Vox Day, he fights, and he fights the right enemies in pursuit of Truth.
You are correct SirHamster. I disagree with him in a couple of main areas, but he is willing to put his money where his mouth is and thus I generally support him by buying his products.
I want to write some of my own books, but I am wondering how I can make it past the gatekeeper here.
Canceled my Kindle Unlimited immediately. Too bad Amazon doesn’t ask for feedback on why such cancellations happen.
Infanticide = “Women’s Healtcare”
Polar vertices = “Climate Change”
Dare Challenge The Narrative = “misleading”
More connect-the-dots fun!
I checked; Castalia House products are available, but only in print or audio book. Are ebooks controlled by a different Amazon dept?
From what I’m reading, the issue is tied to some sort of subsidiary of Amazon, “Kindle Direct Publishing”. They handle e-book publishing rather than physical copies or audio. From the tone of comments, it seems like they’ve instituted a wall of sorts between the two companies, rather than being integrated.
And if what is written is true, it looks like someone or some group went and deleted all the data for the publisher, to the point there’s no evidence they were even with KDP. However, people that have made purchases before KDP went nuclear hasn’t hade their purchases deleted, and it also looks like they can still download to their kindles in a round-about manner. Given that books have been sold, there are royalties to be paid on said books, and taxes are involved up and down the board, it’s going to be a legal coprocyclone if it isn’t resolved shortly.
Yes, this is specific to the ebooks on KDP. The other books are unaffected. It’s a different department that is very silo’d which is part of the problem.
When Castalia House contacted Amazon, the middle managers have to ask the KDP department what’s going on. KDP responds with a request for what customer in the KDP system. Well, that customer is deleted so the middle manager can’t say. It’s a kafkaesque process.
They came to oligarchy by pretending to be social media and online retail non-biased non-partisan “utilities.” Then, after they achieved monopolistic positions in their respective domains, they became radical leftist totalitarianists. Bottom line: First they lied to the American people to achieve the power and wealth they enjoy today and now they defraud the American people and the U.S. Constitution in their underhanded attempt to replace our Republic with the same faulty Marxism that caused so much democide, persecution, economic failure, etc… in the world just last century and that friends is not progressive but rather both disingenuous and regressive.
Because
Update: Amazon has thrown in the towel and reinstated Castalia House.
Someone at Amazon still needs to be flayed for this level of failure.
This guy’s a nerd. Seat belt laws and helmet laws didn’t exist in the 1980s. I used to drive cafe racer motorcycles around during my senior year in high school wearing a pair of sunglasses, jeans, and boots. During the Summer, sometimes I didn’t even bother with a shirt. This was in Los Angeles. The state I was in didn’t have any helmet laws until 1985 and that was for 15 years and younger. Not until 1992 did helmet laws become universal. There was no Internet access, no mp3 players, no cell phones, etc… available to us. We congregated at house parties and concerts typically. The house parties could be raucous affairs and I remember up to three thousand people at some of the large backyard parties with kegs lined up along the back fence. Live bands were not uncommon but they brought the armies of police and helicopters too early. The actual music concerts ranged from neighborhood joints with live bands to arena concerts at places like the Forum to massive outdoor concerts like Cal-Jam. Everyone was ducking the street gangs, as they engaged in gratuitous violence everywhere they went and would steal anything not bolted to steel reinforced concrete.
“Whatever you might personally think about Vox Day, he fights, and he fights the right enemies in pursuit of Truth.”
I’ve already made popcorn and purchased Jordanetics.
“Update: Amazon has thrown in the towel and reinstated Castalia House.”
Sigh. Well, that’s why I bought Jordanetics, in case they surrendered too quickly.
News today is that Microsoft has set up an algorithm to catch ”fake news”. The ”fake news” that it is capturing only comes from independent news services. CNN, MSNBC et al receive Microsoft’s seal of approval, despite articles like the UVA/ Rolling Stone’s proven rape hoax story being given Microsoft’s seal of approval. Facebook also is editing out anyone not thinking along Pravda’s Party Lines, You Tube and now Amazon.
It seems like we are entering Psalm 2: 2 / Acts 4:26 territory
”The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us”.
-this of course right before the coming judgement and justice.

^ I believe so too. Mark Taylor says a lot, and I certainly don’t agree with all of it, but what he got right in my opinion is that 1) Trump would become a fearless reformist president and 2) A holy reckoning is en route for the genuinely guilty. The Clintons and those they partnered with for nefarious ends, Obama and his anti-American administration, the crooked globalist “uniparty” politicians that sold out the American worker and national interest, and the treasonous deep state. Divine judgement is coming, slowly, but it’s coming.
Thanks for the heads up Sirhamster. I’ll add a note to the OP.
Seat belt laws and helmet laws didn’t exist in the 1980s.
California, where I learned to drive, got a seatbelt law January 1, 1986. I got my license there in 1986, with a seatbelt on. and I’ve been wearing one ever since. Except once I remember, I’d cleaned up my parents Caprice Classic, including putting Armor All on the front bench seat. I hopped in and sped off without my seatbelt. I made a quick left turn and suddenly found myself slammed over against the passenger door unable to reach the pedals. Fortunately I didn’t wreck, and I was able to turn the wheel the other way and slide myself back into the driver’s seat. I put my seatbelt on after that.
I was freshly honorably discharged and back on the streets by then. I cannot remember exactly but I must have started wearing a seat belt around that time when it became the law if nothing else to avoid being pulled over and issued a ticket.

Daycare(and all negative consequences) =childcare.
“Whatever you might personally think about Vox Day, he fights, and he fights the right enemies in pursuit of Truth.”
That’s certainly what I used to tell myself.
In any case, going by the link in the reinstatement post, the parody book that has been the trigger for nearly all the Castalia/Amazon disputes is no longer available via KDP even after the reinstatement. So that might have been the price they extracted.
Help for Christian brothers? From a child of Belial?
Dalrock, your Group is hilarious.
As I said years ago, Teddie Beale truly is a man for the times. He will be a great success, but not for Christ.
The Castalia house web store is a better place to buy their books than Amazon, if you want to support them. Last time I bought books from them that’s what I used, and they were delivered in a week or two.
Strong, Independent Single Mom torments infant: https://ktla.com/2019/01/30/mom-accused-of-pouring-water-on-sleeping-babys-face-as-payback/
Caitlyn Alyse Hardy, 33, faces a charge of cruelty to children after authorities say she doused the 9-month-old girl with a bottle of water twice, causing the infant to wake up coughing.
The sheriff’s office says she recorded the incident and posted it on her Facebook page. According to WIS News, the post was captioned: “Payback for waking me up all kinda times of da night.”
No mention of a father, so I assume she’s a single mom.
Other red flags include cherry-red hair. She also appears to be obese.
@RPL
The oldest teenager in the house clearly needs adult supervision.
Not just in this one case, but as a general proposition.
Scouts USA (formerly the Boy Scouts) now has an all girl troop: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/girls-officially-join-boy-scouts-bsa-today/
A group of girls in Guam made history today as one of the first official all-girl troops to join Scouts BSA, the organization formerly known as the Boy Scouts of America. Starting February 1, all girls in the U.S. can officially join the Scouts.
It seems girls can now join the all-girls Girl Scouts, or an all-girls Scouts USA troop, or an integrated Scouts USA troop.
Sorry. Scouts BSA, not Scouts USA. Although I don’t know why they still call themselves BSA.
@RPL
This is an excellent example of the Female Imperative / Feminine Imperative at work.
Options for girls: increased.
Options for boys: decreased.
Equalitarians and feminists can rejoice. Tradcons can pretend that nothing important has changed. Although it obviously had.
Win – Win! Except for boys, who lose, but … eh … who cares about them?
Amazon’s deplatforming on Vox Day is coming from low level account managers OR some of their immediate managers. Their general pattern of attack is this: disable Castalia House’s account with a listed reason of the client (CA) wishing to terminate its relationship with Amazon, and inform VD via Amazon’s email system that it is Amazon who wishes to terminate the collaboration due to a ToS violation.
This sort of thing is possible because Amazon is hyper focused on efficient operating, so they don’t have a robust system of internal checks. Instead, they field complaints as they arise. They don’t care to fix that system because that will cost too much, and see it mostly as inconveniencing their business partners, rather than their customers. It DOES cost them money, though, which they are not happy to loose. It’s currently an open question as to whether and how the SJW operatives have been punished for their tampering with the system.
VD, for his part, found a winning strategy to combat this: keep your customers in the loop by communicating relevant details to them, complain to Amazon middle management who are very unlikely to go along with the deplatforming, use a calm but firm demeanor to work with everyone to re-establish the business relationship. The key to this working is Amazon middle management. Of late, they have been very professional and competent in doing their jobs.
I hope this description helps get your readers up to speed on what’s going on with this issue.

Seems like this is the Left’s SOP: if you don’t like someone, silence them (by force, if necessary). Putting “the ends justify the means” into action.
It will be interesting to see the deplatformers become deplatformed themselves when their politics no longer measure up. One of the most interesting things to watch the left do is create the very tools that are used to destroy them. Consider now the case of Virginia governor Northam.
Or consider the Democrats’ deployment of the nuclear option in judicial appointments, which got President Trump two Supreme Court justices.
Reminds me of Proverbs 26:27 – “He who digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone, it will come back on him.” Or that line about sowing the wind and reaping the whirlwind.
Vox Day fights but he doesn’t fight for Christ. He fights for his own purposes, which occasionally include defence of his idea of ‘Christendom’. That makes him a useful ally when it aligns with Christian values, but it’s not the same thing.
